An extremely reliable brand of SSD and competitive in price. Well worth the extra few dollars than the cheap brands. Speed, price and reliability is all you want.

OMG! This SSD just brought my 5 yr old laptop back to life!!!
I was able to clone my existing HDD, remove it and replace with the SSD in not time.
Within a few hours, my PC was up and humming around the internet and accessing data extremely fast! Boot up time has increased significantly! I'll be replacing all of my HDD drives with solid state drives IMMEDIATELY!
Crucial MX500 is a solid buy at a very good price!

I use this SSD specifically for PC games and editing, and it has always been reliable. It's probably the cheapest best drive you can buy. I've played for hours at a time and it always maintains its speed without slowing down.

The best value for a SATA SSD boot drive!

I use Crucial MX500 SATA SSDs very often. I'm sure I've gone through about 50 or so in the last year alone.
They are the best option for a SATA boot drive available. Very fast speeds with a TLC 3D NAND memory and DRAM cache of 512mb AND an SLC cache too! The best value at even double the price from Samsung or WD to get all of that.

I heve a fairly new Dell Precision 5520 laptop. It had began to chug a lot and take a while to open applications. It had a regular spin-up hard drive. I bought this SSD drive. I connected it via a SATA to USB adapter and cloned my existing hard drive to it using the program found on Crucial's website. I then removed my old hard drive and put this one in. It worked immediately and perfectly. I did not have to re-install anything. My laptop is immensley faster now. Boots up in no time. Opens programs very quickly. Recommended!

Great upgrade from my old non-Crucial 500GB SSD. Just install it (they supply a spacer, which you may not need, but you’ll have to supply your own SATA cable and mounting screws) in your PC. If this is an additional drive, format it & go. If you’re going to replace your existing drive, just download the cloning software from Crucial, fire it off & sit back for awhile. Once it’s done, set the Crucial SSD as your boot drive & you’re off to the races!
The read/write speed is quite good, especially for the reasonable cost. It easily beat my old SSD, and I can only imagine how much difference it would make if you’re upgrading from a traditional HDD.
Definitely recommended!

I blew the hard drive in my 10 year old laptop that I use for only for work and work alone which is 1 web based program, Microsoft teams ap and 8x8 phone ap. This was the OG stock hard drive replacement. I immediately noticed the difference even though the old hard drive and this one were both 1 terabyte. This is way faster than it’s predecessor and handles whatever I put it through with ease, not even a blink of think time. Amazing!

This is an excellent SSD. I installed it in my laptop to replace a faulty drive and it was relatively easy, only require a small amount of troubleshooting. The price was good and I am happy with my purchase.

The HDD in my 10 year old Dell was starting to show signs of impending failure - screen freezing, multiple reboots, long load time. After a lot of research, I replaced the 1Tb hard drive with the Crucial 1Tb SSD. It took a long time to transfer data, but that was due to only having a USB 2.0 port available. Once the transfer was done and the new drive installed, it runs flawlessly. Since my system is SATA II, I wasn't expecting much of a boost in speed. I was wrong. This drive flies compared to my old one.

I needed to upgrade my mechanical hard drives. They were getting slow to boot up so I decided to replace them with the Crucial SSD. I have purchased a total of 3 of these drives and so far so good. The price for the 1TB drive is really good. On older laptop/computer is does make a big difference when booting up.

EX drive for the price. Perfect balance of great write speeds for long sequential 100gb files like chia in a raid0, this thing can perform great w/o exhausting cache. Need 3 minimum in raid0 to get that level of performance, but hey 3TB @ 500mbps the whole drive long works out great at that price.

This is my second one. I bought the first one several years ago and it has been fine and currently using as a backup drive. No issues at all.
The second one has been doing OK also, dual booting Windows 10 and Linux on a Laptop. The Linux partition(s) is also running Windows 10 in Virtual box which seems to run as well as when running natively.
