Nice and fast. Easy to install. Nice price for a 1 TB SSD. I would recommend this drive.

perfect replacement drive . Recently i upgraded to windows 11 and it blitzed out my entire Hard drive ( old platter drive). This Hard drive was the perfect replacement and i had my Laptop back up in several hours.

Fast drive. Benches at 514.63MB/sec read and 455.72MB/sec write. The benchmark numbers aren’t indicative of the “snappiness” and how fast games and apps actually load. Your usual day to day browsers and other apps load instantly. Games load considerably faster than a standard HDD. Overall it’s a great drive from a reliable manufacturer and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a 2.5” SATA SSD.

When I bought my gaming laptop I was very thorough on how to upgrade it and in my research I kept coming across videos that mentioned the crucial mx 500. At first I was a bit skeptical because of the design but I didnt jusdge a book by its cover. At first it seemed pricey but the discounts and the capabilities were undeniable. I went to best buy and got the storage unite along with a tool kit that had everything I needed. That was last December 2023 and I've never regreted it. My computer has run smoother and has had zero problems with storing updates for my games or anything else for that matter. It was definitely worth the money and I recommend it for anyone who wants more out of there computer.

Upgraded old Dell Inspiron 15 3521, coming from a Seagate 250GB 5400RPM. Previous owner for some reason lost the screws securing the face side screws to the chassis, and since Crucial does not provide new screws with their SSDs I was a little concerned. I got lucky: The end bracket with the HDD was secured on the sides with appropriate screws, so removing the bracket provided two to secure the Crucial SSD. Boots and shuts down at least four times faster than before. This was a clean install, so with the advice of Dale at Cadillac Computer Center, I just created a Windows Media USB drive to boot up from a blank disc. Worked perfectly. I'd give Crucial another star if they could at least add a few screws, since these older computers often get fiddled with and people do lose screws occasionally.

Good performance for the price of this drive. Works well and provides a nice speed boost. Definitely not the fastest SSD on the market, but it does offer a lot of reasonably speedy storage at a nice price. A decent value.

The 1 TB SSD so far is running steady, I had to replace a 500 GB SSD that crashed in my Mac Mini. I had read different reviews and found that Crucial made very reliable SSDs so I took a chance I have not been disappointed

Great value and it actually works. Plugged it in and installed Windows with no problems in very little time. More than I can say about that trash Samsung that I bought, thinking it would be trustworthy…nope. Get a Crucial. Better value. Better product.

Crucial has been my go-to SSD since I first started building my own computer. It's always been reliable and easy to install - very user-friendly. What more, Best Buy usually has some kind of sale or deal, so it's great to snatch up when you see it go on sale! It's a great buy!

I can't believe that the SSDs have gotten to this price point. I have used the Crucial MX500 1TB to upgrade my HP laptop and another for my desktop. Say goodbye to the disk bottlenecks! I used the free cloning software from the Crucial web site to clone my Windows 10 system disk on both my laptop and desktop. My laptop runs Windows 10 Home and my desktop runs Windows 10 Professional.

I already have an NVMe drive for my OS, so I purchased purely for storage of my games. This drive is 1tb, so it has more than enough for me and has DRAM. It is extremely fast and boots games up just as well as my NVMe drive. Couldn't be happier with it. If you are looking for a good SSD then this will be the right choice. I have had no issues with it and am very glad I got it.

The first step in upgrading your hard drive is to copy the original drive and then put the copy on the new drive. Sounds easy and Crucial provides a free version of Acronis True Image to do exactly just that. I would swap hard drives and the new drive would boot the emergency mode, with the only working option to reformat the hard drive and install the original software. I ended up using a previously purchased cloning software which allowed me to successfully clone the drive. I can't totally fault Crucial for the software, since they don't make it. However, it should properly clone the drive if they are going to recommend it. The drive performs up to specs and greatly increased my storage on my Lenvo.
