A great combination of capacity, speed, overall performance. These are also super for backing up modern phones, MUCH faster than any thumb drive, and no problem with the phone powering the drive via the USB C connection (plug the USB C included with the drive directly into the phone USB C socket).

Bought this drive due to it being on sale, didn’t think that I would love this drive this much. The drive is small but very fast and hope it will be reliable as well. Will be using it for the videos I edit.

I am pleased with this purchase and would suggest it as a top option for those looking to back up data or use it as an external drive. Speed is excellent and the connection stable. I use this drive for large file storage when editing in Final Cut Pro. I was using Samsung NVMe drives in more generic enclosures however heat became an issue. To date, after I believe two months of constant use heat has not been an issue.

This drive does not run hot and survived a continuous nearly two day long transfer of my music backup of almost 3.5TB. It's used as always available storage for a music server and so far there have been no hiccups whatsoever. It's an SSD so it's quiet but the important thing is that it runs warm when active and that's about it. I haven't had an issue with any Crucial SSD since they started making them for that matter so I have extreme confidence with this brand.

these X9pro SSD's are fast and reliable, and they fit in any laptop bag. They are perfect to work while traveling. Will definitely purchase again.

The Crucial X9 4 Tb portable drive is so small physically yet so big in terms of the data it holds. I am a photographer who goes on the road for extended periods, so I need a reliable ssd drive to hold my photos. This drive is fantastic and it is the size of a book of matches.

Light, compact and amazingly fast! Using a pair of them for frog leaping backups. Plug-n-Play, no A/C cord to deal with. Wish I would have upgraded from the old physical drives a long time ago!

Small size and great capacity ... so far so good. This is my first time using a crucial external device and so far no complaints. I literally have over 10,000 images from a recent trip and no problems at all

I use this as an external game drive for my laptop and it has been amazing for that and will transfer games from my internal SSD in no time flat. It is super small so it's not annoying to toss in your laptop bag to take with you.

This external SSD is a fantastic combination of size, ample storage space, and transfer speed! I did several speed tests and large media file transfers and I will definitely use this for image and video asset management. Buy it!
