I was able to purchase this at a significant discount due to having reward certificates. I do not feel it is worthy of its original sticker price. It has some nice features but there are just as many freeware programs that offer similar in my opinion. the Utube feature is a plus but when you are viewing from a UHD 4K TV and Utube only streams in 720p viewing from Power DVD Ultra there isn't much point to using it.

A good but expensive software player...

This program is probably the best DVD/Blu-ray player program for Windows. Windows 10 no longer supplies any player so I had to buy a program. I tried Nero 2015 but their program would not work at all. I picked this up and so far, everything works. Some of the newer movies will not work with some other players because of the copy protection. It is easy to use and works with 3D movies as well (as long as you have a display that can work with 3D). The only thing is that the program is rather expensive at $100. i think $60-70 would be a more appropriate price for this program.

Big leap forward from version 10, with much larger picture icons. Settings menu is vastly improved. There isn't anything I think that this can't play or show. Consider it a wise purchase!

I've had no trouble playing any DVD or Blu-ray yet. Has a nice, easy to understand interface. It also has a feature where you can download an app to your phone to make it a remote for the player. Pretty big install size at 513MB. Maybe a bit pricey.

I installed this on a computer I built (i4790k). Although I haven't extensively tested the software, a DVD we watched played well and the software was intuitive. We haven't tested with Bluray, but I don't expect problems.

I have been trying to find free ways to play BR disks in my computers BR drive, but nothing appeared to be working. I decided to bite the bullet and purchase PowerDVD 15 Ultra and luckily everything turned out great. I was able to play BR discs in my BR-rom with minimal problems. One con was that the software wanted to adjust the frame rate in the beginning of the movie. A couple seconds of the movie went by and and didn't seem to have any motion jutter, but I worried that a high action scene would cause that problem, so I clicked the button to automatically adjust the frame rate. Well my movie looked like it was buffering every half second, so I turned the software off, reloaded it, and the message came up again. This time I did not choose the adjust the frame rate and everything was fine. Thankfully the message popped up again as I would have been ticked had to hunt through options to change it myself. If PowerDVD reps are reading this the error occurred when a BR disc was placed in my computer BR player, which is connected to my 4k TV by a standard HDMI cable (not 2.0). Not sure why it wanted to adjust me frame rate.

I purchased this program to extend the range to other devices, such as my XBOX and phone. I love the fact that I can use my IPhone as a remote to control the player. The movies look better in 4K too.

Seems pricey for stand alone DVD/Blu-ray playback software. Some of the settings aren't very intuitive and the interface is a bit awkward. But it still works fine.

I recently upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and was disappointed to learn that there was no media player in Windows 10. I purchased this program and it is fantastic. It offers many more options including 4K compatibility!
