Good game but not a must play one

The potential of a great and amazing game is there but as it stands this game is only good at best for me. It is brought down by the numerous bugs ive encountered in my playthrough, and although none were game breaking, it took me out of the world itself. I've seen quite a few T-Posing NPC's so far for example. I am enjoying the game but I can not call it a MUST BUY/MUST PLAY. Once all the bugs get fixed I'm sure it'll be better but right now I would say to wait until then.

    Good game despite the bugs

Despite watching a lot of videos on all the bugs, the game is actually pretty decent. The performances from the voice actors as well as the story are very good. I am also pulled into the design of a large scale, futuristic city. There are a few bugs and the lack of AI is a big drawback that detracts from an 'immersive experience'. The traffic AI is seriously lacking - it seems like the traffic is just on a 'rail'. There's no police car chases in the game at all. Cars will just stop at random and the cars are just unable to move around a stopped vehicle. Pretty disappointing that. I preordered thinking that this game would be iconic, and possibly one of the best games in the last 5 or 10 years. Instead, it's legacy will will be forever tarnished by its bungled launch. I was really excited for the launch and hyped to experience it. And there was quite a lot of buildup. The game even came with a bunch of additional content (like a digital comic, soundtrack, map, and Best Buy had an exclusive steelcase). It's still a good, interesting game. But it just didn't live up to my expectations.

Fun to play, but I really wish I could love it more. The glitches can make finishing a task impossible, enemies that won't take damage, hacks that said they worked but didn't, cars randomly exploding and killing you along route. Sometimes closing the game and opening can fix it, but sometimes it's just permanently glitched. (Looking at you Pacifica area) Also I will complete tasks a certain way, nonviolently when requested, letting the guy with the angry gf keep the money and car, etc. But the game acts like I have killed the person, or later get a request to give that guy his car back when he got to keep it the whole time. It makes it seem like no matter your choices, the game only wants to play one way, and will later act like you made choice A rather than choice B no matter what. It's got It's really great parts, and glitches that don't affect play are more funny than anything, but when the game acts like you didn't play a certain way even though you did, or becomes impossible to finish a quest because the body you were supposed to deliver just dissapeared, it's a little more sad.

Everyone on console seemed to have major problems with this game at launch. I will say i had minor graphical glitches with my 5600X/3060 combo but nothing game breaking. Night city is a beautifully constructed piece of art. The story of this game lacks the attention grabbing type i usually play. Give it a play through. What can go wrong.

The gameplay is pretty good so far. Detailed world. Check it out since you have to do a lot of walking. Lots of guns to pick up after fights. Character customization could have been better. AI is spotty at times. Have run into quite a few graphic glitches, although none have interrupted gameplay. More annoying than anything. Hopefully they fix this soon. All in all a decent game. I would probably wait until version 2.0 to purchase.

Picked this up when it was on clearance and I'm glad I did I haven't really played much of it but what little I did I liked the detail to everything in the game. The game naturally decides to place settings based on the hardware and I didn't notice until I was in the open world when the FPS tanked after some minor tweaks to the settings the game was running better and my system isn't slow by any means.

This game takes a lot of guff but I gotta admit it takes a lot of my time too. I must be enjoying it. (I am) Where they really went wrong is trying to down grade it for older systems. If you have a PS5, XBOX Series X, or are PC master race then give it a go. Great storyline and game mechanics that are a bit behind something like GTA V but still worth the play. Runs ray tracing well and looks good on an RTX 2070 and i5 9600k.

I would definitely recommend this game only on PC and next-gen consoles right now. And even then, with a grain of salt. A lot of glitches and issues at the moment but CD PROJEKT RED has already promised patches in the coming months. Very linear storyline with some good side quests along the way. With everything that's going on with this game id recommend you pick it up next year when it's optimized and bug free.

Warning the rating is only for this game if you pay less than 40 bucks for it and didn't buy it in the first year of release. With all of the patches and changes, this game is now an outstanding value and super fun to play that said you now might want to hold off for the "complete" edition that's going to inevitably drop along with the incoming "Phantom Liberty" expansion.

Cyberpunk 2077 has had an infamous launch for many people. CP is a rather buggy, unfinished, and obviously rushed video game. My 60+ hours of playtime has had its fair share of minor bugs and performance issues but I have enjoyed my time. The story and side quests available are solid and quite enjoyable. The world is beautiful and detailed but rather empty and lifeless, the result of unfinished AI. OST is pretty good, but don't expect anything amazing. The gameplay loop isn't anything special as it is a mixture of all sorts of modern open-world RPGs. CP does not improve on any features from these games. The game is good, but it doesn't offer much else to the genre. Updates that are planned will bring much-needed fixes but I don't see them improving the gameplay that much. Only purchase if you know what to expect, otherwise, wait for a sale.

It does have quite a few annoying bugs, but they have patched some I experienced day one. The game is immersive and looks quite good on an RTX 2070, and plays well on my GTX 1650 laptop. Bottom line it is fun. 1 star deducted for bugs that stop the completion of a quest/job. Character customization is extensive unlike Witcher, RED's premier title.

I know there are bugs and issues with the current gen consoles. BUT I am playing this on I7 9700k and rtx2080 super on 4k 60 fps. So far I am loving it. I’ve seen some bugs for myself like in the middle of shootout, my aim down and shoot started not working. Like I said, other than what’s known, I love the gameplay and story so far.

Story is amazing! A lot of twist and turns. Gameplay could be better. After a couple hours or so it starts to get repetitive. Looting in this game is an adventure in its self lol. I haven’t seen too many bugs on PC but I hear that the console version is unplayable for the most part. I still say it’s worth the buy ONLY if you’re on PC.

Some bugs but nothing unexpected for a new release of a triple a game. Can’t say the same for consoles tho. Make sure you know your hardware will run it the way you want before you buy. 1440p is a b*tch to run without DLSS(use balanced or quality) and ray tracing tanks performance obviously. Gameplay and story is awesome and immersive

Pretty Solid game, as a long time Bethesda RPG player... Bugs are kinda just expected at some point, we can't forget how horrible it was for the 144hz monitor folks (Horse carriage scene is actually broken, running and jumping in Fallout 4... These things were never fixed, because it's related to the engine). Especially with a feature rich title like this one here. I myself have yet to really dive deep into the game, but I do enjoy it quite a lot on my days off. I won't say too much, because it is definitely a game that must be played to real experience it (bugs and the good parts alike), but also because I haven't gotten very far myself due to adult responsibilities (work and family). With that in mind, it is definitely a game in my "off from work pass time" list, right up there with the Witcher, TES, Fallout, Dragon Age, and Soulsbourne games that I play regularly when I've got more than 4hrs of free time. A quick warning for PC Gamers: Be prepared to drop those settings if you're running anything that isn't faster than a 1650 or 5600 XT though, at least from my own experience.

This game has been the subject of enough critical reviews that retailers offered refunds and some even halted sales. From what I can tell the majority of those reviews are from people on last gen consoles and sub-par pc systems. Now, I am by no means playing on a power house - my computers components were about $1200 total so you can imagine the type of mid tier system I'm using. I have had no glitches, bugs, or artifacts the entire time I've been playing which is roughly 60 hours. I did have one crash but that was on day one. I have had an incredible time obtaining well designed clothing and weapons. The ability to enhance your cybernetics and modify your weapons is fun and the process is intuitive. I highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys action rpgs and the hardware to properly run it.

I was one of the people hyping this game up and wasn't that disappointed in the end product because it's still a great game despite the few bugs I've encountered (what game has zero bugs anyways?). So far I haven't gotten any progress-breaking ones. I'm playing on an RTX 3080 paired w/ the i9-9900K and it runs, in my experience, great on High settings. The story is engaging for me and I love most of characters I've come across. It's fun to run around Night City and do various quests as well as soaking in the incredible atmosphere created by the pretty graphics. I also like the perks; there's lots of ways to mess around with different playstyles. Overall, a great game hindered by only a few flaws.
