Love this distopian playground
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game looks amazing. Very fun deep story line with side missions. Though there were bugs initially and still, I believe they are mostly worked out. The map is huge.

Save your $60
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The game was overhyped. It has so many bugs that it shouldn't have been released even when it was delayed so many times. You probably know by now that upper management wanted to push this game out just for greed. It's really sad to see this game go down like this. If you don't have a power PC for this game, don't really bother. Your framerates will tank. You have to research on forums on how to optimize the settings for your GPU. I'd say to wait it out until patches are released but thats probably months away. Save your $60.

Flawed but so Good.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The goodies in the box are great if you like learning a world's lore. As for the game itself, if you're playing on PC, the gameplay is great when you look past the bugs. The story so far is also great if cyberpunk is your thing.

Runs great. Awesome graphics.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven't played enough of the game to really rate the gameplay but it is graphically awesome. I play it at 1440p on a RTX2080 with all settings high including DLSS and ray-tracing and it runs @60FPS with no issues. I was never a GTA player so the interface with its stealth and hacking component seem complicated. The melee interface though is pretty cool with blocking and sidestepping. Already had on 8GB update but unlike Call of Duty I didn't have to wait an hour for shaders to comple with every driver update. I understand everyone is offering refunds for performance issues but sure don't see any with an RTX2080 and I7-8700K.

A solid action adventure game.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I personally think that this game is more of an action adventure game with RPG elements than a full blown RPG, but I thought the same for Witcher 3. The world and story are very cool and intriguing, matched by quality writing and voice acting. The graphics are mostly good except for a few minor glitches that will likely be fixed soon. The controls are tight and responsive. There are lots of ways to approach combat situations and ways to progress Vs skills. All in all, it's a fun action adventure game with plenty of value. I recommend maybe waiting another month or two for patches, but it is definitely worth playing.

Not Worth the Hate
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been looking forward to this game since 2015, and I was so excited when it finally got released. I've played it for hours. It's not flawless, but I did not have expectations for a flawless game. It's not worth the hate. As a PC gamer, I don't care about old console models and compatibility issues. In my opinion, it's worth the $60, and it can only get better through patches. Pros: Looks stunning - I'm playing on a GTX1070 with a 10-year-old monitor (it's not even HD), and most settings default to the highest graphics (but ray tracing is off). I've never played a game that looks more realistic (and surrealistic at appropriate points), from the motion capture to the textures. The characters talk to you (the human playing the game). Massive scale - This game's world is huge. You can just hop in your car and explore the city. There's so much to discover. Your actions have implications, and you can choose how to play. Playstyle - As you play, you can diversify your talents how you want. You gain experience points for doing just about anything. Perhaps the most exciting part is balancing combat while hacking enemies to disable them. Loot - There are plenty of loot drops, but if you love your loadout, you can keep upgrading it through parts and pieces (either lying around or by disassembling gear you don't want). It's perfect for the role player. Extensive lore - There are so many books to read and enjoy the society that was built. Also, for car enthusiasts, you could easily spend an hour drooling over the car database. Cons/Disappointments: There are multiple places where small objects cannot be picked up. The game won't tell you this, but you need to kill some storyline targets. If you manage to take them down non-lethal, you may not be able to progress. Not a bug, but it's something they can fix. The basic car handles like that high school drunk driving simulator. Not great, but you can make it work. You just have to make sure you don't fishtail into civilians or passing cars. The cops shoot first and then don't ask questions. There's no way to adjust the dodge commands (I wish that the allowable delay between keyboard strokes could be shortened). If you dodge into civilians, they cower as if it's an act of aggression. For a role player, the civilians say next to nothing. There also doesn't seem to be any penalty for running around Night City with your gun out. I know it's a lawless town, but there should be more situations where holstering it is an active decision. All in all, fantastic and immersive. You could lose hours just marveling at the world, and you would not feel like you wasted your life.

Well worth it
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Waited a long time to make this review. Cyberpunk got off to a rocky start, but as of this review -I'd happily spend the money again to purchase this game. Really a beautiful world, excellent story, and fun game. I rarely play single player games, but this one has hooked me pretty deeply. As usual for CDPR - the storytelling is incredible, and has really evoked some emotions that are unusual for me when playing games. Most of the side quests are worth doing, if for nothing else than unraveling the threads they dangle.

An Evolution, not a Revelation
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cyberpunk 2077 is a game that has some tremendously rough edges, but is quite fun on a minute by minute basis. Nothing about the game is revolutionary, but it absolutely nails the feeling of walking alone in a crowded, dirty city. The feeling that you might get jumped for your wallet or worse, about walking by homeless or drug addicts and pretending that they are just part of the scenery. If you're able to run the game (which is not a guarantee at all), you will certainly have a memorable experience. Not a lifechanging one, not one that burrows into your brain and makes you think, but one that does have small moments of brilliance that ultimately make it worth the price of admission.

Flawed but Still A Lot of Fun
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I enjoyed the heck out of this game. One playthrough with about 90% completion took me around 125 hours. If you play through the main quests only, you will probably finish the game in 25-35 hours depending on whether you choose to run-n-gun or stealth. There are a lot of technical flaws with this game. I'm looking forward to giving it 6 months to a year and coming back to a game that has received multiple patches. The content is there, it's just the execution that's a little flawed. That said, even with the technical flaws, I still had a ton of fun with this game. It's not the game that was promised but I still think it was worth my money.

Cyberpunk 2077
||Posted . ||Posted . The names' V. Just V.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Exceptional story & core regardless of the launch bugs. Super unfortunate experience with the game is wildly inconsistent across platforms but this will be a cult classic due to many heavy-hitting pros in this game. Beautiful lighting, large, fun to explore world, and excellent voice acting combined with a really cool amount of collectibles. HIGHLY recommend if you enjoy adventure and exploration (ofc also if you enjoyed Johnny Mnemonic! THIS IS KILLER homage to 90's style cyberpunk story)!

Another Great Game from Cd Projekt Red
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A really solid single player game. In it's current state on PC a week after release it does have bugs both graphical and ones that may cause you to have to quit out and load back in. Even with those issues I can't give this less then 5 stars. The world is big, beautiful, interesting with lots of things to do. I love how the side quests can intertwine with the main story. I came into this game not hyped as much and it really surprised me how much I enjoyed it.

PC version, lots of fun, not unplayable
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm 24 hours into the PC version of the game. I've definitely seen my share of bugs and annoying glitches where I've had to load up a previous save, but nothing deal breaking. The game is beautiful and fun, i really feel I've only scratched the surface. I'm confident the developers can take some time to fully flesh out any issues and bring new content as the potential is there. I recommend buying this game, however, if you want to wait until the price comes down or the state of the game gets a bit more stable, i wouldn't blame you.
