We've been comparing security cameras for a while and so far we have tried Netgear Arlo, Logitech LogiCircle and D-Link DCS-8000LH. We are surprisingly quite pleased with the D-Link DCS-8000LH. Pros: - For the price, you get 2 cameras. Cheaper than the competitors. - Easy set up - Super fast connection to view live feed through myDlink Lite app, easy to use. - Great night time view (see pics). - Motion detection that can be set to your sensitivity preference. With the mydlink lite app, you can receive alert notifications. Cons: - Some of you may not care, but design-wise, these cameras look very basic and do not look sophisticated. It's no frills. - App is very basic In summary, these cameras are easy, dependable, and great quality. To me, the fast connection to live view is very important. I was very frustrated with the other brands.

This 2 camera pack is awesome for indoor surveillance, fantastic resolution. Works great with my android !!! A definite buy.

This set of mini wifi cameras work as described in the product details, so from that perspective it is a good product (details below) but from an overall utility perspective, there are many features which are missing. So, let's first dive into what is promised and how it fairs against that. The setup is easy. Install the D-Link app on your phone, turn on the camera, scan a QR code, turn on bluetooth on your phone and just follow the instructions on the app on your phone. It took me 5-10 minutes to setup both the cameras. The features are also as described. The video quality is crisp and clear. I took some snaps as well recorded some videos and results were good. You can re-name the cameras as per your preference. The app also allows to turn on/off motion and audio detection and send notifications accordingly. Each camera is also password protected which gives you an addition layer of security. It also has a local vs remote mode which is nice. They have a very small footprint so easy to hide. Now, here are the features which I would like to have but are missing: - There is no provision to mount them. You have to put them on a flat surface. - They don't have any batteries. Thus, they need to be plugged in which further restricts their placement. They will have to be placed near an electrical outlet. The input plug is in the back and is placed in such a way which makes mounting even difficult. You have to put them on a flat surface with a little bit of room in the back for the power cord. - There is no provision to store the camera feed. Yes, you can record a point in time video using the app and/or can view the activities in real-time but they don't record/log. Thus, they can't be really treated as true security cameras. Overall, I think they deliver as per the product description and might be a good product if you need a camera to just monitor your places in real time. If you are looking for a camera from security surveillance perspective, then these are not for you.

Setting these two cameras up was very simple and that is a huge deal for many of us who have set up other cameras in the past who may not have been so easy to set up. You simply unpack the cameras, plug them in and then download the app. Once you have the app open you sign into, or create, your d-link account. In the main menu choose to add a product, then take a picture of the QR code on the bottom of the camera, the software should then find the camera and link it to your account. Then select the correct wi-fi signal, input your wi-fi password and 30 seconds or so later boom, your camera is setup! Once you have the cameras setup you can rename them to something more appropriate than the generic names, I chose to name mine living-room and dining-room (no spaces in the names) and then you can begin using them in full. The cameras provide an excellent picture in 720p whether it is day or night time and you can also monitor sound. As for alerts you can have motion alerts, with predefined windows in the picture that you can set, as well as audio alerts based upon decibel level. These alerts are sent directly to your phone or table, I did not see an option for email alerts. Be aware that if you choose to set up the alerts you may get an inordinate amount of alerts that you may find quite annoying. I'm really happy with both of these cameras in this multi-pak, they were very easy to setup and provide me a great picture and way to monitor other areas of my house easily. Note that for security cameras they may not be ideal as they do not provide cloud storage that I saw but they do allow you to manually watch areas of your house and that may be sufficient for some folks like myself. I'd highly recommend these to anyone looking for a low cost way to monitor areas of your property in real time. The value of the cameras for what they offer is very, very good!

Here is my take.. Pros: -Inexpensive -Included web storage for recordings -easy camera setup using mobile phone -decent infrared night vision for price -decent image quality for price -dlink app is good Cons: -cheap material -motion tracking did not work consistently -biggest issue and why I drop additional star: night vision kept toggling on and off in certain locations in my home, every time it toggled, motion sense triggered a video capture so throughout the day I have numerous recorded videos of just this.. Took up my storage and made it difficult to see the videos that are worth reviewing.

Connection is easy with the app. Camera is clear and has good field of view. As with all IR emitting cameras it can't see through glass without covering the IR emitter. The thing and tall design is not very stable nor adjustable. It doesn't take up much room though. Picture quality is very good at this price. One camera did fail to update firmware and needed reset several times to install. The wifi range isn't that good, maybe because of the lack of external antenna. I would recommend this camera for its ease of use. Remember, this is a web camera and requires a network dvr or always on connection to a computer in order to record .

For a low-end camera, the price couldn't be beat, and they functioned like they were supposed to. The picture is incredibly clear, so is the sound quality, and the field of view is wide enough to cover an entire room if it's placed in a corner. The only issue I had with it was with the app for accessing the feed remotely -- it's kind of clumsy to use, loads very slowly, and often drops signal. I was always able to eventually access it, but for example it would take a full minute to change screens between my two cameras (there is no way to view them simultaneously) which was just a minor annoyance. Otherwise they're good for what you pay for them. The motion alerts were reliable and real-time, though they don't record anything to be able to rewind and check so by the time I could get logged in and bring up the feed whatever caused the motion was usually gone (always a pet moving around in my case). I ultimately returned mine, only because I wound up not needing them, not because anything was wrong with them or because they were particularly bad cameras. If you're looking for something that won't break the bank but still gives you a little peace of mind, these are a good option.

Good product great picture quality in the app works really well. Setup is simple it can be done in 5 minutes. My only problem was it needs to be plugged into an outlet. I use a blank system as well which runs on batteries which is more convenient

Easy to set up and get it streaming. Since it's small it's easy to hide. I use it to keep and eye on my kids. Great picture and night vision is nice as well. Well worth the money.

I was going to get the video baby monitor but they are so expensive and only come with one monitor. I love this cause there are 2 cameras so one in the playroom and one at the backside. Easy to setup easy to use and the camera is super clear even at night!

Cameras are not 1080p however this did not stop me from using them for my home security setup. Was easy to setup and use. Great Video and Audio as well.

Easy set up....good price for 2 cameras. Only criticism so far is that the cameras are very lightweight..But for the price, good deal.

I recently changed my security cameras to these and I couldn’t be more happy. The ease of use their functionality as well as uploading video to your device and or choice of cloud storage. They couldn’t be better. Most important is that you can add more cameras to the two is great, and the price is very affordable. I would recommend these to anyone serious about security on a budget.

Needed some low cost cameras for indoors, these were perfect. Great price, easy to configure and you get two.

I bought three (6 cameras) and we used them while our home was listed. They worked great, generally. There are certainly some features of higher end models that would have been nice, but I got what I paid for and am happy. The app is a little slow and sometimes crashes. Features that would be nice: view and setup from computer (not just app), battery option, some way to eliminate the duplicate videos (that have to do with how it starts recording).

This is a great product for someone wishing to track any noises or motions sensed in the house for that moment. You can snap a photo or record when the camera view is pulled up on the app. The only downfall is that the camera does not automatically record, so you must have the app open and cameras on live view to record. Other then that, the cameras are great! Wide view and very sensitive to motion and sound!

Good quality, easy set up - just wish we could talk through the cameras.
