I had the dishwasher installed "permanently" by my plumber. I know you're not supposed to be able to do that, but he switched out the hoses and everything, and its great! so I can't review the sink attachment, since that's gone.
I have put crusty, dried cheese dishes in the Danby, and they have come out spotless! Its perfect for one person, and probably great even for 2 people. (I run it every other day). If you have hard water, be sure to add the "dishwasher salt" and use a rinse aid (there are compartments for both) and your glasses will really sparkle. The other thing I love? The drying function does not use an "electric" dryer, it's a condensation dryer, so you're not wasting energy. Sure, there may be a few drops of water on the plastic containers, but in general, it's pretty dry. The only caveat is, it takes a long! time. Of course, you can stop it before it's done drying, it's just water, but I turn it on before bed, and in the morning, VOILA!
So, why only 4 stars? As many other people have noticed, the instruction manual is the WORST MANUAL I HAVE EVER SEEN! It has no information on "what's in the box", so I didn't know if I was missing any pieces (I don't think there ARE any pieces, mine came already assembled and ready to go, but it would be nice to know that). If I DID use the sink attachment, there was no description of it, or how to use it. It has quite a few settings and there is a description in the manual about what each setting does... BUT, there are no photos, so how am I supposed to know that those squiggly white lines mean "drying" or that the OTHER squiggly lines mean... um, I'm still not sure... I'm assuming it means "we don't know either, that's why we didn't put pictures in the manual"....

My mother loves this dishwasher, she doesn't have the strength to was dishes by hand anymore so this was a huge help. She says it cleans great and is the perfect size for her apartment.

I love, love this dishwasher. It does a great job. The first on I had one day, used it one time and the motherboard was bad. I received my replacement and it does an excellent job!

This machine is pretty cool. For those of you wondering if its hose can be extended so the dishwasher doesn't have to be moved all the time, then you're in luck. The answer is, yes! I took a risk on it, bought the dishwasher from Walmart, and made it a small project of mine. I wanted it to sit in one spot in my kitchen - and not right in front of the sink (which is also right next to my drawers and the refrigerator door, meaning the dishwasher would block them by sitting there). I wanted to wash dishes and only be without the use of the faucet while in the kitchen.
This is what I did: I determined the size of my faucet (in my case it is a 15/16 outer thread and 55/64 inner thread - I live in an old house). From there I took a trip to Menards and Home Depot to buy a few things (1. One garden hose. 2. One adapter that fits my faucet and has a female 3/4 garden hose thread on it. 3. One adapter that fits the aerator that comes with the dishwasher and fits the garden hose as well. In other words, a female 3/4 garden hose thread with a male 55/64 thread. 4. One 5 gallon bucket. 5. One small-sized 2.5 gallon wet vacuum.) From there, I screwed the appropriate adapter to the faucet and attached the garden hose, and screwed the appropriate adapter to the other end of the garden hose and screwed the aerator to that adapter. From there I attached the dishwasher hose to the aerator and placed that connection over the 5 gallon bucket (because the dishwasher will drain on the floor if this is not done). Lastly, I placed the vacuum hose of the wet vac in the bucket, and put the wet vac in an easy to reach location (since everything else is hidden to look more presentable). BAM! Now I have a dishwasher that sits in the same spot, drains, looks like it belongs in the kitchen, and the only thing I need to do is turn the wet vac on every so often and empty it.
Regarding the dishwasher: It works well and cleans good so far - no complaints here. The attached hose is too short, which is why I mentioned what I did above. Apart from that I'm happy with it - especially now that I don't have to move it over to the sink to use it. On the other hand, it is easy to move if you don't mind doing that. The wheels are a good feature. The other thing I like is that its height matches most counter tops and is flush with them. The top is also heavy duty in terms of using it as counter space.
All in all, I'm pleased.

Unhappy with product

The dishes came out clean but we had trouble getting our hands on salt and the extra agents to avoid hard water deposits. So ultimately we wound up with hard water deposits, which kept the machine from functioning properly. Our bad.
The biggest problem we had with the machine was one of the wheels came off. It just cracked apart. Cheaply made. When we called for a replacement, neither I nor my handyman could attach the replacement wheel. Their bad.
Pay the extra $100 and get a decent brand. This one, which has sat unused for months in our kitchen, is getting replaced today. This one was too much trouble. Good riddance.

Watch out, mine caught on fire

My wife found this little dishwasher somewhere. It's a decent machine that does pretty well with dinner dishes, though it leaves a lot to be desired with heavy stuff. I usually just end up washing pots and pans by hand. It does fine on plates and bowls and somewhat decent on silverware.
I loaded it up earlier today and started it. Came back to the kitchen a couple of hours later to make lunch and I noticed smoke coming from the back of the machine. I quickly identified the problem as an electrical fire, unplugged it, and luckily was able to blow it out before it spread. Had I left the house we may not have been so lucky. When I tried to contact Danby customer service online I was informed that it would be a $5 fee to speak to somebody, so I just abandoned that idea. I would NOT recommend somebody buy this, well, unless you want to burn your house down.
