For the fans of Breaking Benjamin the wait is over. We have waited for a new release and it is here. The new band is like an allstar band. The sound is great and is similar to the classic Breaking Benjamin hits.

Six years - the amount of time Breaking Benjamin was on hiatus. In that time, Ben Burnley battled a mystery illness and a record label that went behind his back. Finally, after all these years, Breaking Benjamin has returned, with a new label, and new material, but with the sound fans have come to love. This album is a wonderful addition to their catalog. With hits like Failure, Angels Fall, and Ashes of Eden, it's no small wonder this album debuted at number 1 on the Billboard Top 200. It is a worthy addition to any collection, or a great starting point for someone just now discovering this band.

Rock radio has finally witnessed the return of Breaking Benjamin!! Similar to the layout of their past album, Phobia (2007), the intro and outro songs are appropriately titled "Dark" and "Dawn" and are amazing just in their own right. Now for the tracks in between them, they are nothing short of astounding themselves. The lead single, "Failure," is very reminiscent of "The Diary Of Jane," and long time fans are sure to love that they still have their signature sound and songwriting style that we have all come to know and love.

    Breaking Benjamin Back!

It was a sad day when Ben's illness put his work on hiatus and even worse when turmoil separated the band into a huge legal battle. For a while some of us thought Ben would never really get his passion back and we'd never have another album from Breaking Benjamin. Much as the album suggests, there is always dark Before the dawn. And in this dawn we have a breaking benjamin twice as good as the original. Ben still has his underlying formula but each song is fresh and original and the band sounds SO good. Clearly Ben is working with more passionate friends this time around and puts out a solid album that does just enough throwback but even more takes a step forward.

Aside from being the greatest album ever heard by the band, coming back from the dead, and arising from the grave, this is what you call a comeback to the music industry. The last album I've recently heard from them was Dear Agony, which came out six years ago. That was how long I've waited for new material by the band. I'm overjoyed that my favorite band in the world came back with some PRM! (Platinum-ready music!) Trust me, this album is the greatest thing you'll ever hear in the world!

I'm glad to see these guys are back - i actually hadn't known they released a new album until i saw this one, so it came as a bit of a surprise. I had $60 in Best Buy gift cards when i was picking up 2 specific albums so i grabbed this one to help me burn through what i had to spend. It's a good album, but when it comes to me, Breaking Benjamin and bands like them are ones that i'll throw on in the background to have some music playing. That of course doesn't mean i'm not stoked to see these guys live for the first time this coming March since they NEVER come to Southern California. I'm partial to the previous BB titles "Phobia" and "Dear Agony", but if you want to support their return and want some good driving music, pick this one up!!

This is my favorite band. Period. I have loved all their albums. I have read several reviews of this album and one complaint is that they "sound the same." Now, since the only remaining member is Burnley and they sound like their old stuff, that's fantastic. I loved every song on this album and found myself remembering entire songs after one listen. True, die-hard fans should enjoy this album.

ome may call Dark Before Dawn a comeback album for Breaking Benjamin, due to the lengthy space between albums, but the band’s fifth studio record comes off as if no time has passed since their last effort. It’ll be interesting to see if this catches on with a new audience, one who may have not been aware of their wave of success a decade prior. Their core fan base will be pleased with their solid return, and this is their most consistent album since We Are Not Alone.

Breaking Benjamin, first album after 3 members left, Ben never stated the band was on a hiatus or anything, stating that he has been working on writing new songs, despite not having a full band. The album is the same sound that they have had for years, with very little change. Overall, the album is good, but could have been better if everyone was still together.

Breaking Benjamin are back and better than ever! With Ben being the only remaining member of the band, the pressure was on to deliver a top notch album that not only catered to die-hard Breaking Benjamin fans, but also take the band to the next level. This album delivers both. It reminds me very much of Phobia with a splash of Dear Agony. Definitely worth buying!

As the subject says, typical BB = awesome. I shared the CD with a coworker who summed it up nicely, "I favor a few tracks over others, but the entire CD is good!" Remember when great bands wrote entire albums of great songs? Here you go! There are intro and outro tracks (Dark, Dawn, resp.) that are filler for the album's "Dark Before Dawn" concept, but they surround another excellent sonic offering from Breaking Benjamin.

I knew I was going to purchase this despite the hype and drama because I love the unique sound of Breaking Benjamin. And Ben and his new bandmates did just that - they stayed true to that sound, much to the delight of their loyal fans like myself. There is one track that kind of stands out from the rest - "Ashes of Eden". Ben's vocal diversity really shines on this one and it is appropriately placed in the track series.

I am a long time Breaking Benjamin fan and have been waiting for them to get back together and record a new CD. I was counting down the days until this would be released and made my purchase on June 23rd the day it dropped. I've got to say it sounds like Breaking Benjamin, but there's nothing new and not a whole lot of variety in their songs. Ben needs to get out of his funk and write a few up beat songs. Mix it up a bit. I love the band and many of the past songs are my all time favorites, but after waiting so long this new CD is disappointing.

Breaking Benjamin returns from hiatus with an album that stays true to past albums. In a time when many bands alter their sound looking for a larger audience breaking Benjamin has maintained there trademark style and sound. Dark before dawn does not disappoint and is the perfect addition to an already solid set of albums.

I have been a Breaking Benjamin fan for years. The new lineup featuring original member Ben Burnley is awesome. I love drums, Shaun Foist's chops are incredible. The lyrics, vocals, guitars, bass, and drums have that great Breaking Benjamin sound. After a six year hiatus, Breaking Benjamin has hit this one out of the park. Excellent album. I love all of the songs "Breaking the silence" is a favorite of mine.

After the dissension, break-up and lawsuit, I was not sure that I would ever hear a new song from this band. Not only did they return, but this album has that signature Breaking Benjamin sound. Any song on this album could have just as easily been on a previous release. One would never know by listening to the album that the lead singer is the only remaining member. Awesome!

Breaking Benjamin's new album in 5 years and it was well worth the wait. Comes in a Jewel Case and not some Digipack (Personally hate these cases). Every song flows together with the voice and instruments perfectly. I can listen to this album from the first song to the last song in order all the time. Best song overall is "The Great Divide", but all the songs are great.

I absolutely love this album. There are not many songs on here that i do not like. Cept maybe the intro and outro. I would highly recommend this album to anyone who a BB fan or just getting started with this band. They were on hiatus for awhile while they retooled the band with new members and went through some legal issues as well but the wait was well worth it.
