    If you're a Carpenter fan then this is a must own since it's his first feature (sort of.) Great features too. Too bad they couldn't get the man himself.

    70s Dark humor sci-fi made on low budget by college students It is no polished 5 star movie by any means but it is fun/campy and is now a cult film. Spoiler alert. An alien is literally a beach ball. I owe that to anyone considering buying because I wouldn't want people buying it and then getting upset. Despite the low budget, I did buy it on sale and i enjoyed it and the odd dark humor.

    Dark Star is a must for John Carpenter and sci-fi fans. The picture and sound quality is beautiful and the story is perfectly silly. Grab some friends and snacks and enjoy!

    I’m a huge John Carpenter fan but, for me, it’s one of my least favorite of his films. It’s just not as funny as I hoped it would be. The alien beach ball got me laughing several times though. A must own for Carpenter lovers like myself.

    Great John Carpenter and Dan Obannon classic. The last time i saw this movie was on VHS late 80's.
