Was expecting this game to be a bit more like the first but they almost appear to not be related. This game's combat is much more fluid and you've got a few more types of secondary weapons to use so you've got more of your own choice but this is still limited because you're mainly going to use your scythes as they're quick and strong and the secondary weapons split really only into heavy or melee. Death has a great personality as well as the side characters. Environments are varied gorgeous and the music really fits the mood. The puzzles in this game aren't difficult but they're still clever and concepts are introduced slowly so you're not thrown in over your head. Also they're plenty of side missions you can go back an do even after you finish the main quest. This game uses a loot system for equipment so your character will be more or less unique compared to anyone else. Personally I don't like loot systems but for each his own, it feels more like a weak reason to continue playing just to keep getting minutely stronger equipment. Around 18 hours in I'd already found an equipment combo that kept healing me over and over in combat so it killed the difficulty.

Having liked Darksiders so much, I expected that that Darksiders II would be just as good and I was not let down. Darksiders II is an excellent game. It is a little different from the first but very entertaining nonetheless. It appears that this go' round, the game is more of a role playing type of game than a good'ol slash'em up, like the first. Very entertaining... the graphics and playability are awesome... My son and I are currently playing this game and already we have spent hours together having some fun. I definitely recommend playing this game. If you haven't played the first Darksiders, you should definitely start there and then play Darksiders II.

It is a fun game to play and kills time. I don't look forward to playing it every day but it is enjoyable.

If you enjoy Zelda and/or the loot system in Borderlands, this is the game. It's fantastic like the invention of usable plastic!

Great game all around..If you liked the first then no doubt you should like the 2nd..Great story,good elements..Classic hack n slash with some good puzzles..

Godd fighting mechanics, great boss fights, but the worlds are too big and barren slowing down the pace of the game.

If you've played the first Darksiders you owe it to yourself to play this game.

Darksiders II was an excellent addition to the series. The gameplay was fun and I rarely found myself bored throughout the game. The game got a little repetitive with having to help someone find 3 things and bring them back to them before being able to move on in your quest. Although it was repetitive there were some neat gadgets offered for the players use. The boss battles are sick and usually have an incredible ending to each of them. The music in this game adds to the overall mood of each and environment and sounds great. The voice acting is awesome and Death sometimes had me laughing at a few parts in the game. There were some glitches that caused me to have to reboot the game but it was nothing that could not be fixed in under a couple of minutes. Glitches aside, the game rocked.

I haven't played too much of this game yet but it already has me hooked

Now this is how a sequel should be done! Not much that I can complain about in this title with Death, playing the role of "hero" and looking to restore his brother's name and restore mankind. If you enjoyed the first game, you will not be disappointed with this bad boy.

This is an awesome game! You could customize your character with different weapons, armor and magic, etc.
