I had to get this for my 4k collection. Im glad they picked this title to get the 4k treatment, but how does it look? Well, they did go pretty heavy handed with the grain here. It was released the same day as Top Gun 4k. Top Gun being the better transfer of the two. If you are a grain-hater, you might not want this title. Buy the movie because you love it, just do not buy it for the transfer. I will add that the film does look very nice at times and it improves as it goes, much like Karate Kid 4k.

Nascar when it was fun. Cruise and Cast did a nice job with showing all the hard work that goes into race cars but also the softer side and reality of the Dangers. Good Flick.

This is one of the best Tom cruise movies in my opinion. Incredibly complimented by the enormously talented Robert Duvall. He has one of my favorite lines “No, no, he didn't slam you, he didn't bump you, he didn't nudge you... he rubbed you. And rubbin, son, is racin'.” This is must for any action loving and/or racing fan.

The best NASCAR movie of all time I recommend everyone see it at least once it looks so awesome in 4k

I've been a fan of this movie since I was a child, I've owned the DVD, Blu-ray, and now the 4k UHD Blu-ray. They did remove some grain but enough is there to retain the feel, the expanded color and high dynamic range is excellent. Overall it's a feast for your eyes but what about your ears? The only disappointment is it's a standard 5.1 track, which they mixed an Atmos track and the bass is severely lacking throughout the movie but even still I highly recommend this be on your purchase list.

great move for anyone who likes Tom Cruise and anything to do with racing.

Yet another fantastic Tom Cruise movie! What else do I need to say?!

Outside of the newest Top Gun flick, this is probably my next favorite Tom Cruise movie. And honestly, this movie is basically Top Gun at Nascar. I watched this movie while flying to Hawaii (8 hour flight) and it was entertaining and passed the time quite well. It had a great cast, great characters, and a fairly entertaining story (of basically Top Gun at Nascar). Oh how I miss the days of these early 1990 movies. NO CGI!! Great effects!! Why can't movies be made this way once again? I liked the grainy feel of this flick over the glossy ones of today. If you want a good Tom Cruise movie when he was almost on top of the world, you won't want to miss this one. I'm sure Suri Cruise likes this one too ;)

Good movie, big fan of Tom Cruise. Good storyline. Also in the $5 rack.

I picked up this movie primarily for the thundering race car scenes I remember from the theater. The 4k disc did not disappoint. The movie image was sharp and the High Dynamic Resolution evened out look of the picture and gave the movie a natural film feel considering many scenes were in bright sun light contrasting shadow. I listened to movie in 5. Dolby and sounds of the race cars were thunderous with very deep and room filling bass and I felt as if I was sitting in the middle of the race track.

I have this one on blu-ray from way back in the day. The updated transfer for the picture quality is the best it has every looked. This was shot on film so there is a fine grain which gives it a nice look to the film. Colors are good they have increased with the 4k over the blu-ray as well. The sound was great just wish it had an atmos track. Overall a great new transfer and I got this on a one times deal of the day for 10.99 so I cant complain at all.

It’s a NASCAR race movie and this disc realistically puts you into driver’s seat with great cinematography and sound effects that takes your breath away. And there are some light moments too that gives the story some personality. What’s the real bottom line – there is a great story, the Cruise/Kidman chemistry, and the friction between Cruise and Duvall that really makes this film a memorable view that you will want to see again. This 25+ year old film still has legs to it!
