The case is great, comes with extra adhesive if you mess up or have to switch something out, only downside is the dock adapter is kind of hard to dock your device onto.

Review: dbrand Killswitch Travel Kit for Nintendo

dbrand has built a reputation for making highly durable and stylish tech accessories, and their Killswitch Travel Kit for the Nintendo Switch 2 is no exception. Designed with the traveling gamer in mind, this kit offers a perfect balance of protection, convenience, and customization for the next-gen handheld console. Whether you’re packing up for a commute or a long-haul flight, the Killswitch delivers an all-in-one solution to keep your Switch 2 secure and stylish.
Build Quality & Protection
The core of the Killswitch Travel Kit is its rugged, precision-engineered case, built to absorb impact and protect your Switch 2 from drops and scratches. True to dbrand’s quality standards, it features a durable polycarbonate shell with textured ridges for improved grip. The snug fit ensures that the device is shielded without adding unnecessary bulk, and reinforced edges offer maximum protection without interfering with gameplay. The case also includes a detachable kickstand — an elegant improvement over the built-in one that ships with the Switch 2 — offering more stability and multiple viewing angles. This is a must-have feature for playing on the go.
Magnetic Interchangeable Accessories
One of the standout innovations in the Killswitch Travel Kit is its modular ecosystem. Thanks to the built-in magnetic attachment system, the case allows users to quickly swap out accessories, such as a magnetic kickstand, a carrying ring, or additional grip plates for more comfortable handheld play. This level of versatility ensures that your Switch 2 can adapt to different usage scenarios, whether you’re gaming at home, in handheld mode on a plane, or sharing gameplay with friends docked on the TV.
Portability & Practicality
The travel case included in the kit complements the protective shell perfectly. It’s compact yet spacious enough to carry the Switch 2, additional Joy-Cons, up to 10 game cartridges, transportable magnetic attachments, and cables. The smart design prioritizes portability, ensuring your entire setup is organized and safe from damage. The case even includes a designated slot for a power bank, along with a discreet cable pass-through for easy charging while on the move.
Design & Customization
In true dbrand fashion, customization is a highlight of the Killswitch Travel Kit. The case and shell are both compatible with dbrand skins, allowing players to express their personal style with hundreds of possible colors and patterns. Whether you want a sleek matte black finish or vibrant neon accents, there’s no shortage of options to make your Killswitch uniquely yours.
Potential Drawbacks
While the Killswitch Travel Kit is an impressive accessory for the Nintendo Switch 2, there are a couple of minor drawbacks. Some users might find the magnetic components slightly fiddly during quick swaps, and the added bulk of the case might not appeal to ultra-light travellers. Additionally, considering dbrand’s premium pricing, this generous package may feel a bit expensive for more budget-conscious buyers. However, the durability and customization options largely justify the cost.
Conclusion
The dbrand Killswitch Travel Kit for the Nintendo Switch 2 is an innovative, well-designed accessory that combines protection, convenience, and flair. It further enhances the portability of the Switch 2 with its robust case and clever modular design while offering something that many gaming accessories lack: personality. While it might be a premium investment, it’s absolutely worth it for gamers looking to travel safely and stylishly with their consoles.

Buy for the best protection case for the Nintendo switch they really outdid themselves with the grip comfort it fits in your hand like a glove it is a little on the heavier side but that is the trade off for excellent protection. I was amazed at the presentation of the box and the quality of packing

1st, this is traveler pack so you get the screen and joycon protector that hold something like 12 games.
The device is solid, it makes for easy travel with a good selection of games, and unlike many others you might find, they actually made a dock adapter that allows you to charge the Switch 2 with the Killswitch still attached.
Another cool feature is that DBrand actually has several skins that you can buy off of their website that are made specifically for use with this case.
So yeah, this case is snug and well worth the money they charge for it, if you travel with it.

Early model issues and the embarrassing initial response from dBrand aside, my take away is that the core ergo improvements you get from the individual controller grips is great and I would honestly be happy if dbrand sold them on their own. They not only make handheld play way more comfortable, they also improve the ergonomics for mouse mode in a natural, seamless way that all the mouse adapters and other controller grips can't compete with. Whether intentional or not, I'd honestly recommend this as a long-term investment for when mouse mode becomes more utilized in FPS and PC-focused games coming to Switch 2.
Like a lot of others though, I'm not a fan of the core console shell. While I'm sure part of it was a deliberate design, making a case that requires an adapter on top of an already oversized dock is not what I personally want. Doubly so when getting it to work with the dock was so inconsistent. I honestly gave up on both as soon as I could, and considering how much it bloated the case price, it gives me pause really recommending it to people.
If a V2 model could come out that ditches the adapter and makes the whole thing dockable (ideally for a cheaper price) or if dbrand sell just the controller grips, it would be an easy recommendation for me. As is, I feel weird recommending half of an $80 product, but these really are the controller grips I'm the most happy with at the moment.

The Killswitch 2 is a great case for your Switch 2. I mainly use the grips for better ergonomics for the system. The back piece, I don't use because it won't fit into the official dock unless you use the included adapter. I wouldn't mind using the adapter but I have an accessory in front that gets in the way. Having the Switch 2 in the included adapter is fine since the Dock fan is specifically for the dock itself and not the console. so if you have no accessories in front, you are good to go!

I really like the dbrand Killswitch for the Switch 2. The grip feels way better for handheld use and the whole thing just feels solid. They also fixed the old issue where the Joy-Cons could loosen or pop off with certain grips, so it actually locks in place now. No problems there anymore.
Only thing to know is it does add a bit of bulk, but honestly it’s worth it for the protection and comfort. If you play your Switch 2 handheld a lot, this is the case to get.

Perfect case for switch 2. Perfect mix between protection and design. Travel cover makes it easy to safely travel with and play on the go. The design also makes it easy to detatch the joycons without needing to remove the whole case unlike so many other cases ive seen. Hand grips on the back of the joycon cases also gives a peefect ergonomic feel for when playing in handheld mode or with joycons detached. All in all if you want a case to protect your switch 2 for the future choose the kill switch 2 case.

Good quality material, i love the hand pads makes it feel like a controller. It provides great protection but there are a couple cons that cost it stars. 1st you have to take the cover off to use the paddles as a contoller and 2nd you have to take off the case and the kickstand cover ( which is glued on and not easy to remove) to use the docking station. Other than that its a great buy.
