I can't say enough great things about this movie! If you love heavy metal and horror movies, this is a MUST OWN. Great gore, likable characters, good writing, and above-average acting make this the surprise horror hit of 2015. WATCH IT NOW!!!!!

This movie suckles at the teat of the Evil Dead. The story is really similar, the atmosphere and vibe is very much the splatstick of Evil Dead II, it uses shots and gags straight from Sam Rami's trilogy and honestly, it is kind of shameless about it. Ya know what? It comes off more as wearing your influence on your sleeve than it does a ripoff and the movie is just so much fun it is all groovy. It also very obviously loves Peter Jackson's horror films. So the movie is very much "what if teen metalheads summoned a demon and deadites ran wild." It just works and the cast is a ton of fun, especially Medina. She gets to be a tough, take no prisoners savior of the nerd boys and it is fantastic. The music is great, it has a good look to it, a fun story, great humor. My only complaint is some absolutely bottom dollar CG effects that were obvious and distracting. Otherwise, I had an absolute blast.

If you like films like Evil Dead or the 80s cheesy horror/metal movies like Trick or Treat, Black Roses & Rock N Roll Nightmare you'll almost certainly love this film. A group of heavy metal loving friends get their hands on some obscure metal music, play it, summon demons & then everythig goes wrong. The gore is outrageous, brutal & well done, the characters diverse & funny. Extras include Q&A with director, trailer, teaser, music video, interviews. It also has a reversible cover art which I think looks better then the one it originally shows.

I was pleasantly surprised with this film. A band plays a song of forbidden lyrics that open a gateway to the underworld. Soon demons are invading the living. It's to a couple of metal heads in a bromance, a hot love interest, and a couple of nerds to drive the demons back to the underworld. A delight for horror fans that like their films nice and bloody. The special effects are fantastic. This is one to watch!

if you're a fan of horror and possibly also a fan of all things metal, you'll love this little piece of gory genre fare. it's perfect if you've ever been in a band, or tried started a band with a friend, but also helps if you dig into the horror genre. i love it.

Deathgasm is awesome. This is a must buy bluray for anybody that is a fan of over the top gore and heavy metal. I figured I'd like the movie but after the first viewing I immediately wanted to watch it again. If you are on the fence about picking this one up, don't hesitate and go get it now.

This blu-ray is pretty good considering it doesn't come with a slipcover. If it came with a slipcover it would be top notch for me personally. Still the cover it reversible which is why I can't hate on it. Also the disc looks like a record and consider how music plays into the film it's a very nice touch.

If you're a fan of horror comedy (specifically Evil Dead 2, Army of Darkness), you'll love this movie. It felt slow and weak at points, but there was one scene alone that, for me, redeems all flaws this movie has. No spoilers, but you'll know it when you're laughing uncontrollably.

As a fan of metal music, I bought this even though I figured it would be silly. And it is. But it is "fun" silly. It is very similar to a Peter Jackson film, the OLD Peter Jackson films anyway. Think Braindead (Dead Alive) but with metal thrown into the mix. I liked it and have already told my friends to check it out.

Look, if you don't like gore, bizarre sight gags, demons and heavy metal, it's not for you. But it's one of the best horror comedies I've seen and the best of it's kind since Peter Jackson's Dead Alive.

If you're a fan of horror and death metal this is the perfect movie for you. This movie definitely touches some of classic humor infused horror films of the 80's and 90's including Dead Alive and Evil Dead. I had a great time watching this movie.

Fun little indie flick I blind bought due to internet buzz. More on the comedy side, although there were elements of everything mixed in, even a bit of backstabbing drama. Well worth the $10 for the blu-ray if you're into movies like Evil Dead.

I would definitely recommend watching, especially if you love the idea of a bunch of rockers taking on supernatural evil in a violent but still comedic way. I will be adding this to my personal collection to watch again.

I had read reviews of people praising the film, and I'm usually pretty skeptical about independent films that have such high praise. Starting from the intro I freakin loved this movie. It was so good. I couldn't stop laughing.

New Zealand put out two good horror movies this year with What We Do in the Shadows and this little gem. It is a nice little horror comedy in the vein of Scott Pilgrim. Check it out!
