PS5 Deluxe Edition review. Great concept and super fun gameplay. Arkane Studios are wizards when it comes to first person shooter gaming mechanics. Deluxe Edition DLC code is inside gamebox. Deluxe edition items are unlocked in game after completing "The Longest Day" mission (kind of the tutorial at the beginning of the game). Great looking DLC cosumes which gives a James Bond vibe to characters and some exclusive weapons and weapon skins. Story takes place in a futeristic 1960s. Be prepared to die a lot! There are 4 different locations of play (Updaam, the Complex, Fristad Rock, Karl's Bay). You can visit each location at four different times of day(Morning, Noon, Afternoon and Evening. *Exception is Karl's Bay in Noon). There is also a unique online mode where you play as Juliana(Protect the Loop)/mode unlocked after awhile in game. I bought the game for full price minus $30 worth of Bestbuy rewards points. Worth every penny. The game has been out now for over a year. As of September 2022 the game was also released on Xbox Series X/S which includes crossplay for online modes. It also released additional free DLC with the Golden Loop update. Including new Legendary weapon, new side missions, new slab power, new enemies, extended ending cutscene and many bug fixes. PS5 dualsense controller utilized the rumble, trigger feature and speaker very well which exhanced the gameplay. Game offers many Graphics options including performace mode, ray tracing etc. Overall, top 10 first person shooter for me. I platinumed game on PS5 which took me about 2 weeks. Definently a game to buy on your new PS5 with all the bells and whistles.

This was my first time playing Death Loop. Graphics and gameplay are amazing! Only thing I didn’t like though was the way the story was. If you died, you’d respond back at the same spot over and over.

Love the game. I hear they are doing a lot of games that are like this “loop” type. Well I’m sold on them right now. Don’t want to spoil anything, but be ready to be challenged in different parts of the game. You will need to think outside the box to pass those areas.

This game will definitely be a contender for game of the year love the graphics and time loop concept of the game Cole voice actor is awesome!

The hype is real with Deathloop. This was my first Arkane game and I loved it. The story was very good and I like the overall puzzle of figuring out the final loop. Some clues are spelled out for you, other things you need to play detective to figure out. The graphics are great on PS5 and the music is AMAZING. The beginning of the game you may get rekt alot but will be OP fairly quickly. This game also has some of the best invasions mechanic since Watch_Dogs 1 & 2. It's absolutely thrilling. There are moments when you invade Cole's game or Julianna invades your game that is reminiscent of the classic scene in the Bourne Identity between JB and the Professor at the farmhouse. Also, keep in mind that you do not have to partake in the invasion mode at all, meaning that you can turn it off, and other real life players won't come for you. However, all outfits are only unlocked by playing as Julianna, so keep that in mind. Speaking of outfits and a few minor nitpicks of this game, There should be some sort of photo mode, and also a FOV slider. And there is a menu bug that can halt your game progress completely...Arkane please get on that!! Besides those gripes, I wholly enjoyed my 31 hour playthough(with invasions mixed in, level 29) to complete the loop. It's worth full price and absolutely worth playing. It also loads in fast and the adaptive triggers are great!

The gameplay of Dishonored meets the concept of the film Groundhog Day. You uncover clues through different parts of town at various points in the day in order to break the cycle. When trying to achieve your objective there is no such thing as a linear approach. The game is built so well that each approach you take provides different challenges and experiences, giving the game high replay value. The story, backstories and dialog along with the gameplay make this an excellent game all around.

Fantastic game. Ending was ok, but the gameplay is fun albeit some powers are faaar better than others

A unique gameplay loop that will keep you engaged throughout the game. Featuring some pretty wicked powers and a narrative told over the course of a repeated day. You are basically given a handful of areas to explore during the course of day, to gather all the clues necessary to be able to eliminate all of the targeted threats in a single day. Fail…and you start again. The story is further pushed forward by a hunter named Julianna that is after you, which can even be another player! This concept adds a fun bit of PvP to the game with a separate leveling system and all. This is a modern FPS shooter that features some parkour elements, akin to Mirrors Edge, with the powers of Dishonored. This mash delivers an exciting gunplay with a traversal freedom that just adds up to UNBRIDLED FUN. The game feels great and looks even better. You won’t be disappointed by picking up this title and spending countless hours reliving the same day. While dying can be frustrating, if you die twice the day resets, the game gives you the ability to save Guns/powers for those just in case moments. For that, I don’t think the game is punishing at all and leaves you just having fun.

Wasn’t sure what to expect from this game but I enjoyed every minute of it. Very cleverly done. The addition of live players jumping into your game to interrupt your progress is amazing.

The game is recommended its on saleand seems better when its only 20$ on sale wow
