Never used a laptop before. I have a desktop and I am really attached to the mouse. I also have a tablet and really like the touch screen. Wasn't sure how I was gonna take to this chromebook with no mouse and no touch screen. Turns out it is incredibly easy to use. It is perfect for checking emails, surfing the web (much easier than the tablet I have). Very easy to set up, I did it myself (and didn't even need my kids' help!) I'm sure that I am only using a tiny portion of all the bells and whistles, but so far it does everything I want it to do. Touch pad is nice and keyboard is too! Battery life seems fine as well. Very pleased with my purchase.

Bought this for my husband to check email, go online and watch how-to videos. It's lightweight, small, compact but no waiting for action. Responds quickly. Has USB ports as well.

This laptop is perfect for my preteen getting ready for more homework. She is very artistic so she loves being able to write stories on it. Easy to setup parenting controls.

I bought this for my grandkids who are home schooled along with an external disc drive for some of their other school work. This works perfectly. I own one too and bought it because I sometimes needed to travel with a computer and my 18” computer was too heavy. This computer is perfect for any online needs that you have. It’s lightweight and does the job just fine. An interesting fact is that there is no need for anti virus software to hassle with. Google has their own protection which is a total bonus. Super happy with both my purchases of these machines.

This Dell Chromebook works quite well!!! It's fast, it connects to WIFI very well and has very good memory. This purchase was an open item and listed in Excellent condition, which it was. The only issue is the battery life. I have it set for sleeping when the lid is closed, but overnight the battery goes dead. When it's fully charged, it does last about 6 hours. I don't know if it was returned for a battery issue or not, so I can't comment on this one vs a brand new one. Overall, I am satisfied with this unit.

My son is 12. He uses this for school homework. It’s bern easy and sturdy for him. We will upgrade in a few years. For the price it’s super great!

My son got this chrome book and it was an amazing deal. It does everything that a computer does but it does not have storage. If you’re not familiar with the chrome book, then research the operating system before getting it. You may wish to have storage on your hard drive. But if you don’t need it, this is a very good solution to the problem of not having enough money for a brand new computer! It does lots of things computers do and it’s basically a computer

We use this chromebook as a video player attached via HDMI to our Samsung TV. The software allows for either mirroring (the screen displays on the TV) or as a secondary display. The device is small and lightweight- lighter than my first tablet. The surface is a rubberized plastic, so dust seems to stick; but at least it won't slip from your hands. Performance is fine for what we are using it for. The Google architecture makes it easy to use since there are no surprises, software wise.

I have no complaints about this little chromebook. It is very portable, runs just as fast and smoothly as one would expect with the processor it has. The battery life is impressive, boot time is WAY faster than any other computer I've worked on, even faster than phones and tablets. Don't expect to do any high powered gaming or intense graphical rendering, but for simple everyday computing tasks, this is a great device.

The chromebook comes in very handy, and is used not only for surfing the web for information, but is perfect for as a traveling computer.

Got this laptop for budget web browsing and email, and a little bit of document editing. Pros: -very affordable. -lightweight and portable. -can keep open a surprising amount of chrome tabs, I was able to have 20+ tabs open. The 4gb ram helps. -great battery life, about 7+hrs easy. More with low screen brightness. Cons: -slow at times, it has a very slow processor. Don't have high expectations. -screen is subpar, even when compared to other budget laptops -keyboard is meh, it's usable. Don't expect to type fast on it. -speaker sound quality is about what you expect for a budget laptop. Low volume and tinny. -android app compatibility isn't good. A lot of the apps I tried were not optimized, crashes, or just freeze chrome os. It's one of the cheapest new chromebook you can get. Good for light browsing and text editing in a pinch. YouTube works well enough. Bad for everything else. Screen may be small for some people. Would only recommend if you know that this is a BUDGET laptop.

This is a great computer. It is small and very portable. I purchased it for my daughter who was taking a trip and wanted to watch videos and have computer availability while traveling. The battery stores for a very long time so she was able to use it and not drain her phone while traveling. She loves it and it keeps her off mine. Very happy with this purchase. Got it for a great price even with Best Buy support. It is very easy to use and set up was a snap!

To start with, as I'm sure many others have pointed out, this machine isn't going to replace your Windows PC or Mac, but at the same time, it isn't really designed to. It was made for people that either do most everything with the help of Google documents, are simply looking for a machine to browse the web with, and or are just looking for a secondary device to browse online video content with. And truth be told, for any of these tasks this machine does really well. Personally, I am writing this review from the perspective of a college student, and while I definitely have tasks that this machine isn't up to the task of handling, I found myself able to carry out most of what I needed to do while using this machine for the period of time my main computer was being serviced. As long as you have reasonable expectations of this machine, it will serve you well. I just wish that you could find one of these in a similar price range that had a backlit keyboard on them as that is what I find myself missing the most when I am using this machine.
