I researched this Dell laptop for months before buying it. It's best feature is that it is FAST. I work with multiple open windows and it loads and switches effortlessly. The combination of 16GB of RAM and the SSD drive was worth the added cost for me. The only small negative I have is that the power switch is in a spot that is easily pushed by mistake when grabbing the case. I had one issue right away with the wireless card that will not go faster than 20mbps but Dell support is replacing the entire laptop since it was within 30 days. Overall I'm very happy with it.

    Great With One Major Flaw

I wanted the SSD for speed and saw the terrible reviews of the 15" Dell so got this 17" 2 in 1. It is very fast. The weight is low enough that I don't mind having the large screen. Using as a tablet is more helpful than I thought it would be and great for getting something done while sitting on the couch watching sports. The one major issue is that after set-up, I was only able to get 10 MBPS over WiFi. All other units got over 200 MBPS. Geek Squad told me it was defective and to return it. Dell found that an App (one they include to help manage slow connections) was capping the speed. Once the App was removed, speed went up to 240.

Good laptop computer. A little heavier than I would like. Does not have a CD slot. Had wanted one to use current CDs. Had to buy a external CD unit. May not need it anyway. Does not have a fan for hard drive but you pay extra for that feature which also limits storage.

Solid and fast laptop, run smoothly everything I've thrown in (Bloomberg, Skype, Office, Teamviewer, video, all at the same time), no flaws so far. Decent display for the price. Heavy as expected, no surprise here.

512 SSD, i7 processor, 16 GB RAM expandable to 32. This laptop doesn’t get hot. It’s fast to start up or do anything. I bought a laptop 7 years ago with 8GB RAM and many today have the same or less. At the same rate this laptop will last me for a decade. I’d prefer a terabyte of hard drive but I can use external drives or online storage for photos/videos. Had to buy an external CD/DVD drive but they’re cheap and it’s worked perfectly with this computer. I would definitely recommend this laptop to someone who likes speed.

I had a Dell Inspirion running windows XP from my college days that served me well and is still working but was past time for an upgrade. This was made for me. I can vpn into work as well as enjoy what the internet has to offer with multiple windows running with no problem or lag. The only gripe is the placement of the power button. Can be hit easily when turning the computer. Best to lift the front when on flat surfaces and turn because the grip strip is in the front and will make turning it harder. Other than that, one month in and still running good. Could not be happier. Worth the money.

I bought this to replace old Dell XPS desktop- 8th gen i7 is very quick; easy to setup except for the Windows 10 updates; metal case is very nice and screen outstanding. Price was really good compared to other comparable laptops. Long time Dell purchaser.

Once upon a time I got a two for the price of two deal on this machine and I ended up using both for a while. Then I shipped them across the country for an indeterminate amount of time. 5/7 would buy again.

Just a challenge with the power button. Screen size is perfect. Wish it had a few more USB ports, but I can manage. Still love that big screen feel in a portable model.

This thing is a beast in size and weight. Is a nice laptop for work. Beautiful laptop. Very powerful. Screen is gorgeous. Keyboard is very nice. Fluid Windows 10 experience. Now the Buts: But it is only a touch screen - does not work with Windows Ink. It is HEAVY on your lap so the only comfortable place to use it is on a desk or table. I ended up taking it back and picking up a 15" HP Spectre 360.

I replaced an aging desktop running Windows XP for this 2-in-1 laptop running Windows 10Pro. I love the touch screen for times when I have misplaced my mouse (often) and can still continue to work away. Brilliant display, responsive touchpad, and appreciate the backlit keyboard when working in low light. All in all it is a home run and I highly recommend it!

It’s been nine years since I bought a new laptop. Tried out 3 hp’s & returned them all. #1 feature about this Dell is its speed. No more waiting 5 minutes for booting up. In some reviews u can tell they think it’s the i7 processer. It’s not, it’s the SSD drive. Like the color, keyboard, touchscreen, 2 in 1 feature, it’s thin & reasonably lite for a 17.3” screen. I do agree with another reviewer that said the power button is not well placed. Also it’s a pain to open as there is no indentation. You just have to pry it open I’m surprised after 9 years that the technology hasn’t changed much & windows 10 is still buggy. Overall I’m very pleased with the design, color & performance of this laptop.
