simple yet very functional

It is very simple to hook up and set up. There is one cable to hook up, the usb cable, which provides power for the drive as well. The cd that came with drive was simple to install the software. I have used the drive extensively downloading music to my computer and it has functioned wonderfully.

Great Little Device

Some reviews complained of noise, but I didn’t experience that. The sound was very comparable to the drive on my old desktop, and I don’t find that loud.

It works great and was easy to setup. It is a little noisier than a built in disk drive. It is very light.

Dell external USB CD/DVD burner

In a world where none of the laptops in my house no longer have disc drives, this came in clutch. I primarily used this to make some mix burned CDs as gifts but I was also able to read some old data discs that had some very old pictures of my kids. So glad I bought this, excited to think of the possibilities of what I can do next.

I'm a little old school and have a lot of data on DVDs. This drive is plug and play, no hassles. Works great and was affordable.
