Laptop is really fast and looks great only thing is it's heavy weighs almost 6 pounds but it's worth it. Battery life may not be that great so I've installed Linux on it.

I bought this Laptop a little over 4 months ago and have been using it non-stop for extreme gaming, coding, virtual machine (Spinning up Linux), and video rendering. It does get a wee bit toasty at times but has never run more than 88 degrees Celsius when sitting on a desk flat with no cooling pad during heavy gaming sessions. Gaming on battery is a no go, but I don't game on battery because there are times throughout the weekend where I will sit and game for 6 to 7 hours. This can run the Witcher 3 with DLSS on for quality at very high graphics, the game looks amazing, way better than PS4 ever dreamed of, and with my cooling pad, it only gets up to around 77 to 80 degrees Celsius tops. Mostly sits around 72 to 75. While coding I do go without plugging in because I take it different places at times while I code. During those times, I have had 4 to 5 hours battery life while scripting, coding, automating, and watching videos at times to take a brain break. This computer has had a few bad reviews. But I guess I was lucky enough to get a good one! Because I absolutely really enjoy this computer! I have upgraded it with a second 1TB SSD card, as well as upgraded the Ram to 32Gig. For the Money, this thing is a beast and I LOVE IT!!! I have thought about Buying another for my wife since she is a gamer as well. But she doesn't want one since she only plays those Cozy farming type games and her Dell runs them just fine with its integrated graphics card.

Budget friendly Alienware!

Had spent some time with my new Dell G15 :
-CPU: i7 13th gen
-GPU: Nvidia RTX 4060
-RAM: 16GB
-Memory: 1TB SSD
-And a maaaasive power supply(330w), the biggest i have ever seen in laptop so far!
*Right off the bat this laptop screams Alienware, it's very edge, a little bit clunky(6.2lbs), with a very gaming characteristics every way you turn it! I like that they matched the cooling fins with the orange from the G logo from the side!
*The keyboard feels good and it is backlit(orange), the trackpad is medium size with a somewhat grip to it(i wish they would've made it little diferent texture allowing my finger to glide better.... but for an everyday use it's totally fin since mostly i would be using my mouse for gaming!
*The screen is good for a gaming laptop. Very accurate on colors with 120hz refresh rate. That gets just bright enough to let you enjoy most of the content.
This laptop it's very well equipped and it's a good deal for the price. It won't break the bank and will offer very good performance in a nicely designed body, very very similar to an Alienware.
Oh i almost forgot about the "G key" is located at the top middle of the keyboard and will activate the Boost Cooling Mode on demand i think that's pretty neath since this machine can get warm when you put those components on load!
In the end the Dell G15 it's a good gaming laptop that suits well the gaming enthusiasts, offering good performance in a nice body(with decent speakers, screen and battery) for a price that would satisfy most of us that look to obtain some great performance without breaking the bank!

Best buy delivers in just in the factory dell box, no other outside protection or protection from the weather or coverage of the fact that it's an expensive laptop. Make sure you're there to pick it up. The laptop is nice looking. Lots of positives. Biggest negative was the keyboard, its a bit weak feeling and despite the crazy fan system on this device the keys still get warm to the touch. Because of the crazy fan system on this device the form factor is hard to find laptop shells that fit. The rest of my thoughts on this device are positive. Screen is nice, snappy, plays well. Im happy with my purchase

So far I have enjoyed this laptop. It does get a little warm while being used, but functionally it does everything I need it to. I bought two of them, one for home use and one for my son for his engineering classes at UNCC. So far they have not had any issues. They work equally well gaming, doing basic productivity tasks with Excel or Word and writing programs using several different IDEs. Overall, I am very satisfied.

Recently, I purchased an amazing notebook that exceeded all my expectations. It has a powerful processor, 16GB of RAM, and a 1TB, which ensures fast and efficient performance. The screen is high-definition, perfect for watching movies and working on projects. Additionally, the battery lasts all day, which is great for those who are always on the go. I did a lot of research before buying and found a great price. It was definitely one of the best purchases I've ever made!

I personally think this laptop is amazing. I upgraded mine with an extra 1 TB NVMe SSD and went from 16 to 32 GB of ram. It plays everything I own at 120 FPS(I locked the frames for every game to 120, it'll definitely get more in most games). I absolutely love this laptop though. I just wish the USBs weren't on the side of the laptop where the mouse goes. But that's not a big deal, I got a thunderbolt hub to move my USBs.

I didn't buy this PC for gaming, I bought it for video and photo editing. For the price it checks all the boxes except the RAM, 16 gb is not quite enough for my work. However, upgrading the RAM was pretty easy and was a cheap upgrade. Now with 32 gb RAM this thing is perfect. One thing I recommend, get a stand for this thing, it gets hot and does a lot better cooling with it is elevated, that is typical of laptops anyway, but especially true for this beast. The display is great for gaming, but for my work, I would have preferred a 4K, HDR display.

So far so good. Had this bad boy for about a month and it’s been great. Runs all the games I like to play on medium or better settings.
The keyboard is good enough. It gets a little warm but not to the point of worrying about it. The screen is great for the price of the laptop.

I bought an open box one that was in excellent condition so I put it through some simple tests to see if it could handle everyday life of a college student. I downloaded some programs that my previous computer run slowly and it loaded in pretty smoothly. I used one for around an hour and the battery lasted the entire time starting at around 80% and went down to 20%. The lights around the keys on the keyboard were cool too with 3 settings: off, dim, and full lights. Although the dim and full light settings look almost the same. Overall the experience was very smooth and everything loaded in fast.
On the other hand, I do feel like the speakers are a bit loud. My ears are pretty sensitive so a volume of 10 is enough for me to hear it. It might be a good thing if you want loud speakers. Another thing is the charger. It’s a brick. It felt really heavy, and I wouldn’t carry it around if I don’t have to. There were also a lot of air vents. While running some programs, the air vents felt hot which concerned me some part of the reason I chose this computer was so that it would not overheat which my last computer did. However, it didn’t really affect the quality of the programs and I didn’t really feel it on the keyboard or pad. Although it did feel a little warm on the top of the keyboard. After a while the fans did turn on but only for a few seconds. It was pretty loud but it didn’t last long.

I want to preface this by saying that i'm not the most tech savvy person but this laptop has been incredible. It can run pretty much any kind of game with little to no issue at all. I tested it using the highest quality SEUS Shaders for Minecraft and it handled that great. Also ran 3D programs very well too. I really love that you can have different performance settings per game that switch automatically once you open the game/app.
One downside is that you're pretty much forced to always have the laptop plugged in otherwise the battery life depletes FAST. And with how heavy/large the laptop AND the charger is you might have to buy a lap desk like me if you don't have an actual desk. It physically hurts trying to have this thing on your lap for an extended period of time.
Other than those flaws I'd say it's still really worth getting especially with how inexpensive it is.

It is excellent at playing games, and handles other smaller tasks like it’s nothing. The display is top notch too despite being a little lower hz than others. Battery life a little rough, but is expected with a high performing laptop like this.
