My first 2 in 1. This is a solid machine. it feels like a premium machine, feels like a little tank in the hand. doesn't feel dainty or fragile. the pen garage is great, the magne is strong. the computer is super snappy and fast, almost no boot up time. lots of people are talking about the overheating issue, but as soon as you install the bios updates that goes away. very nice track pad. if the computer was any bigger it wouldn't make sense for tablet, 13 is just the right size. 15 inch would be too big. The hinge feels solid. I love this thing. Finger print reader works well. I thought i was settling for a lower grade product because i didnt want to fork out the cash for the xps, but im completely satisified with this computer. love it.

I needed a new laptop for my first year of university, this had all the requirements needed. It’s perfect. It is fast, smooth, & it is really nice. It comes with a pen, and it is so easy to work with.

Overall a solid computer but build quality was not the best. For instance, camera is not aligned properly so the picture others see during Zoom and similar calls is not clear. And Dell customer service on the matter was disappointing.

Wonderful little computer for good portability, and flexibility. I especially like the fingerprint scan built in. The two in 1 feature allows for last minute updates to notes, and quick sketches.

I have strayed away from dell from several years. Finally bought my first Dell again and this has been a complete disappointment! The fan has to run on high almost constantly and the speakers are extremely low quality. Additionally I am already having to send it back to the factor for service because the camera picture is blurry, the pen has frequent trouble connecting, and the single USB port will not recognize any devices unless they are plugged into the thunderbolt docking station.

Chris,
Thanks for your review and we're sorry to hear about the issues that you have had with your Dell computer so far. When you get your computer back we'd recommend checking the drivers page to make sure that everything is up to date for your audio drivers and others: https://dell.to/2PPb4BI.
If you'd like to see if you can reduce the fan noise on your computer we'd recommend updating the BIOS when you receive your computer back: An out-of-date BIOS can cause loud fan noises by having an outdated temperature table for the system. Refer to update BIOS and follow the instructions to update the BIOS on your computer. You can also follow up with our Technical Support Team here - 1-800-624-9896.

This computer is perfect for throwing in your handbag or tote. The graphics are crystal clear. It has power plus. The battery life is great. Would buy again only in a 15 inch model.

Because of a malware attack on my old computer I decided to pick up a smaller, lightweight to use for back up and travel. I stayed with a Dell thinking it would be best for transitioning from one to the other. But one glitch is the delete button in in a different spot! It is only when something like that happens that you realize how often you use that button! lol The lighter weight is nice for travel but a for certain prefer a bigger screen and keyboard.
Unfortunately too, getting the data transferred did not go well and was not complete.

It can get overheated but using a small fan works just fine if you can expose the bottom somewhat and it is very fast with great specs. I would buy it again if I didn't already have one.

This laptop is lightweight but powerful. Fits my occasional need to run Adobe suite. Speakers are tinny so if you’re buying it for streaming etc maybe purchase separate Bluetooth speaker.

I have been a Dell fan for over 16 years and have purchased at least 8 Dell computers for each of my children and myself throughout the years. This purchase was due to the pandemic as I am working from home and needed an upgraded Dell. I purchased this laptop at the end of April 2020, so I've only had to use it for documents. However, now I am required to attend online Zoom meetings as of last Monday. My Zoom videos are terrible as you can barely see me clearly. All of my colleagues have clear pictures and mine is terrible. My son checked his Dell against mine that cost half the price and our computers have the same exact camera installed. However, his Zoom test produces a clear picture, so this must be a camera defect in my Dell computer. I just scheduled a Best Buy computer appointment, but I didn't sign up for Geek Squad during the purchase, so I'm not sure if the computer warranty is through Best Buy or if I need to call Dell. I'm so frustrated and disappointed because I have to begin teaching on Zoom in August. Otherwise, everything else with the computer is amazing, but the most important feature to work from home isn't working as it should.

reb06,
Thank you for being a loyal Dell customer over the years. We're sorry to hear that the video quality on your new computer is not what you were hoping it would be. Please take a moment to check the software and drivers page for your computer to make sure there aren't any updates that are available: https://dell.to/2PPb4BI.

good computer but is a little too small have had some problem with it freezing up, don't know why? all I use it for is to play games on. Love the pen, but have another computer that the pen works better on as a pointing devise.

There are minor "glitches" in the laptop although Overall the performance is good. The Best Buy tech support and the Dell Tech support are VERY POOR and it takes forever to get through to them to solve even small issues.

If you are not playing games, this will do anything you like. Games and video encoding won’t be strong suits. Yet for anything else, this is as easy and portable as an iPad.

Nice laptop. I like its fingerprint scanner - allows me to logon without typing a password. 512 GB SSD with Optane is sufficient.
Thunderbolt port allows to connect external monitor and other devices.
What I do not like is that the laptop overheats. I noticed thermal shutdown happening multiple times during regular web browsing.
I had to turn off Intel speed-step technology to partially alleviate heat issues. From time to time it still gets hot that one could fry eggs on it.

Tomasz,
Thanks for your review. We're sorry to hear that your computer has been overheating for you. We'd recommend the following tips to keep your computer running at a cooler temperature:
Tips for Proper Usage:
1. Dell does not recommend placing portable systems directly on your lap. Due to reductions in the thickness of modern portable systems, heat transfer can be an issue. 2. Using a portable system (Laptop) on a hard, flat, non-cloth surface will increase airflow and reduce heat from underneath and inside the system. Using the portable system on a blanket, pillow, or other types of cloth will cover up the fan cause the computer to overheat and can cause permanent damage. 3. It is recommended to use the portable system in a Room temperature of 0°C to 35°C (32°F to 95°F) with a Humidity level no greater than 90%. 4. Use compressed air to clean the vents on a regular basis. 5. Using a cooling pad can decrease heat and increase performance. 6. If you want to know the temperature limitations for your system, go to the Dell Support Website, look up your system model then open the user guide under the manuals link.

I like this purchase and the 4k is awesome. My only pet peeve is that it heats up real bad! Haven't been able to figure out to make it not do that. Otherwise I would say I don't regret my purchase at all.
