Horrible! Had to return it twice!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not the best computer. I see others have left it raving reviews so maybe it was my luck but it didn't work. The laptop itself worked fine at first and then the fan wouldn't stop running or making noise. I had to close the top for it to stop. It was overheated a lot and this is not my first laptop. I exchanged it and was sent the same one again. This time the new one didn't even turn on. The screen was black, the power didn't work, and no troubleshooting they guided me through made it work. I had to return it again. After that second time I didn't even bother requesting a replacement. I will just purchase a different brand because it seems this particular one doesn't work. Either Dell made defective ones or Best Buy sent me refurbished ones when it should have been brand me.

Do not recommend
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the worst product I have ever bought. To operate this computer I need to plug the charger all the time which is very worst. Never purchase this product.

A brick
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Has frozen up every single time I've used it and I know how to use a computer. I even used to build them back in the day. Ctrl+Alt+Del does nothing. Have to unplug and let the power run down for days. No resetting this piece of crap. Waste of money. Thanks Dell. I seriously hate you.

Posted .Dear Valued Customer,
Thanks for your review and we're sorry to hear about the performance issues that you're having with your new computer. We'd encourage you to please reach out to Dell's Technical Support Team for additional support with your computer and the performance issues that you're having. If you'd like to diagnose the freezes you can try these steps:
1. Run a Computer Diagnostic. To determine if your computer is experiencing a hardware problem, run the Dell Preboot System Assessment (PSA) Diagnostics. For information on how to run Diagnostics, and to determine the issue, refer to Dell Knowledge Base Article: http://dell.to/2iaiujA.
2. Check Safe Mode for Symptoms. To boot into safe mode, please follow the instructions below:
a) Start the computer.
b) Tap 'F8' on the keyboard immediately and every one second until the Dell logo screen disappears. From there you will see the Windows Advanced Options Menu on the screen. (If the Windows Advanced Options Menu does not appear, restart the system and try again.)
c) Select Safe mode with Networking and press Enter.
d) Log on as the administrator or as a user with administrative access.
e) Open applications and test the computer in safe mode. If the symptoms exist in safe mode, please continue the troubleshooting steps in this article. If the symptoms do not exist in safe mode, the issue is likely related to a driver or software and you may wish to complete step 3 to see if you are able to resolve the lockups or freezing.
3. Check for Malware. Malware (Virus, Spyware, etc.) can definitely cause a Windows system to lock up or appear to hang. To check for malware on your system and to ensure that your computer is up to date on security software, visit Dell Knowledge Base Article: http://dell.to/2wWP1zI.
You can read the full article here - http://dell.to/2tW5m33.
We'd also recommend checking to make sure that all of your software and drivers are up to date. There was a new BIOS update released for your computer earlier this month and you may want to make sure that your computer is up to date: https://dell.to/34QvdLl.

Unhappy customer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Buyer beware. On October 12 my wife and I bought a laptop computer. We payed $199 to have the Geek Squad set it up. Here is where our problem is. The Geek Squad was supposed to have it ready for us, When we got there it was apparent that nothing was done and the representative was clueless. My wife and I had to stand at the counter and input the critical information. It was my understanding that the tech would go through the screens and help us set the laptop up. I also bought Norton 360 and was told by the tech that he knew nothing about it. This software is critical to keeping the laptop secure. He was of no value in setting this software up. If I would have known this I would have bought it directly from Norton. Also my Microsoft exchange still is not working correctly. If I were to buy a laptop again I would not purchase it from Best Buy and definitely not use the Geek Squad. This incompetent group has cost Best Buy all my future business. Very unhappy.
