I chose to purchase this Dell unit to replace my malfunctioning laptop and am pleasantly surprised that it performs much better than expected and cost less than the probable expected repairs I faced.

If you are happy with base models this item is a little powerhouse. Starts fast stays fast .. If I had to do it again I would of bought the 8gig ram version, and maybe done it in an HP. Cuz I have called dell tech support over 2 issues DELL IS USELESS.

Works great, however it did. It come with a owners manual as promised, clerk said it’s a open box item but all parts and material were there, go home and next day I opened it and no books, should have checked myself before leaving the store, live and learn

I bought this for my 8 year old. She is in 2nd grade and has a chromebook at school. This computer is better than a chromebook, in my opinion. It will assist her over the summer to learn to type and use the school's online resources to grow scholastically.

I needed a basic computer to do some work for a class that I had and this one was able to do everything I needed it to do. It isn't the fastest, but for the price, I'm fine with it.

this is a good laptop for basic and intermediate needs. it's bit heavy though. otherwise it's good. but the plastic panel broke in like under 1 year or use.

I happened to catch the sale of the century. I spent $200 for a 15 inch Dell. How much better can it get? It does what I need it to do and then some.

This is nice laptop in the price. I use it as desktop not traveling around. So, it is ok for bulky side. I like most is big HDD compare to those light weight low end has. 500G is good size for me to store all the pictures and back up my phone too.

Bought it for my wife and she loves it. It is lightweight and does everything we expected. It is fast enough and small enough to carry from room to room. I would definitely recommend this laptop.

Needed a simple, basic computer for work without any flashy graphics or add-ons. This computer solves all that with a great price tag. No slow start-up like others have stated. Great computer.

This is not an expensive laptop but works just as great as the expensive ones. I use this also for work. The only down side is the amount of storage but other than that it is great.

I've always preferred DELL computers. When I was employed, my company, the premier stock exchange in the U.S., always purchased this brand. My home office PC was a DELL as well. When I decided to upgrade, I didn't think I'd find a laptop within my budget, as I'm now retired. Best Buy had this one, plus it was on sale! Handles all my personal needs and my granddaughter used to prepare a school report. Now, she's trying to convince her parents to trade in the laptop she has, for this DELL model. I hope they do, it's a great piece of equipment!

Considering the price this is a good starter computer if you do not do heavy lifting. It is great for private use, e.g. emails, videos and surfing the net.

Bought this system for coding and added one 16 gigs RAM to it, now it is smooth as butter. It was the best deal comparing everything, all the open box on best buys are completely new.

I once owned a dell several years ago and thought very highly of it. This one just bought was totally the opposite. Blacked out for no reason in the middle of business, slower than molasses in January, very unpredictable, and yatta, yatta, yatta. I was most displeased at the new dell performance considering new technology improvements from years ago. I guess you get what you pay for. Dig deeper in your pocket, spend a little more and get a better laptop.
