Great picture, slim design, light weight

This tv has an awesome picture. It is a very slim, and lightweight design. It was very easy to hang on a wall mount. The smart tv functions are easy to access and even easier to set up. Simply connect to the internet and follow the step by step directions on the screen. This would have been 5 stars if not for the remote. The remote is a slim comfortable design and easy to use. It was very easy to program other devices to the remote as well. My main problem with the remote is the lack of a number pad, and/or keyboard. You have to use an on screen keyboard to select numbers or letters when using a search function. This is very slow and irritating. It is fairly easy to use my phone for this purpose but that kind of defeats the purpose of an all in one remote. Also this remote uses a D-pad configuration, select (Middle button) surrounded by (left, right, up, down). This would be much better if it used a joystick configuration similar to an x-box controller. Especially when using the web browser.

We bought this laptop because it was appropriate for our purpose and was open box price. So far it has worked perfectly but we are not fans of Windows 10. Would have been much happier with 7 Pro.

Amazing i3 Device for the Price

I truly do not believe a superior model exists for an i3 machine with easily accessable components. Get rid of the bloatware (and windows if you are the type) and the machine is seriously a fantastic deal. Not the fastest I've ever had—obviously a 5th Generation i3 is not lightning speed. But upgrading the RAM and throwing a SSD in there is undoubtedly the move. Silent. Boots in <20 seconds. I would rather have a backlit keyboard though. In fact, I almost need one. Believed this model came with one as some reviews online mention that it does but that is not the case. The wireless card is not the most modern but does support all modern bands + BT 4.0. Signal is not spectacular. Despite potential negatives, it's still a five-star laptop in my book. Not anything like my ZenBooks, but I almost prefer this purchase. It does everything that I needed to do and it does it very cheaply. Oh, and I forgot to mention the battery life absolutely fantastic. And in case one needed a reminder of what model to look up online it is the build with the i3 5005u.

I bought this laptop for my mentally handicapped son. It was fairly easy for his tech-savvy brother to set up for him. He is on his computer a lot and is very happy with it. It is used on his desktop only & is not carried around. It replaced an old Dell XP, so is much faster. This is a good basic laptop.

I bought 2 of these and they both run very slow, there are issues with the keyboard sticking and there's no recourse if you've had it for more then 2 weeks. Very disappointed and full of regret that we can't even get a different model that's the same price even. Very Sad

This laptop is too slow and the touch pad is not responsive or the right click feature tends to give a left click responsive. The performance of this laptop is below minimum and at times, down right frustrating.

OK, so I had to replace my laptop with another. I did not want to spend a lot of money because I am on a budget, but I had to get one. My older Dell was having issues with Google freezing up websites. Even though I restored my older Dell, still had issues with it. So I had to get a newer one. I usually build my own laptops with Dell, but like I said, I had a budget. Good memory, 1TB. Its a good laptop for limited funds. I had a Best Buy computer & game tech guy help me out, since I could not build my laptop and he said for what I want it to do for me, its fine. Battery lasts about 4 hours, would prefer it be longer. Positives: its newer, thats my big Plus; it feels like my older Dell Negatives: its slow to boot up; Windows 10!!! I hate it, but will have to get used to it.

    Good Computer

Breaking this up I would rate this as follows: SPEED: For basic computing needs such as word processing, internet surfing and general games the computer speed is just fine. 5 VIDEO QUALITY: When watching movies either through a DVD, on the internet or a downloaded video the quality is good and clear. 5 SOUND: The sound is load and great but the only issue is it sounds as though the speaker is on the bottom of the computer and therefore sounds kind of muffled. 4 SIZE AND WEIGHT: This computer is extremely light weight and gives a good size for what most people need. Not too big where you can't see the whole screen and not too small where you can't read anything. Overall this computer is a good quality product and definitely a good price. If you want a computer for gaming this isn't for you but if you need a computer for school or work this is a great product for what you need.

I went from a mid-2012 13-inch MacBook Pro to the Dell Inspiron laptop after an unfortunate incident with a toddler and a glass of spilled Coca Cola. And while the operating systems are vastly different, and the Inspiron is significantly larger than I'm used to, I'm liking my new laptop just fine! It is definitely worth the price, and I was lucky enough to have it go on sale when I finally had the money to purchase it. As a writer, I needed something to be able to write on and access the internet and a few of my preferred apps (Spotify for muse, AIM for connecting to fellow writers, and Photoshop for editing graphics). It hosts all of these apps easily and works faster and more efficiently than my MacBook did! I'm very pleased with my purchase and highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for an affordable laptop that needs it for similar reasons that I do. I'm also pleased with the service I received. It only took my local Best Buy 15 minutes after my online purchase to be processed and made ready for me. I picked it up after work, and the service was quick and friendly. All in all, a very worthwhile purchase! Thank you, Best Buy!

I purchased this laptop during a special 4-hour sale, knowing it was going to be for someone, but not sure who. It was too good a deal to pass by. Now I found the person who wants it, and I've been installing software, installing the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, and using the computer to see how it performs. I can say that I am very pleased with its appearance (no frills), weight, performance, keyboard touch, display, boot time/shutdown time/hibernation time, etc. If I needed a computer, I would surely get another one, especially for $279.99. I'm going to add 8GB of RAM before turning over the computer to the new owner, and I think that will make this computer simply outstanding for speed and performance for everyday tasks.

I wanted a laptop for my home academic assignments, browsing etc. I browsed through bestbuy.com for an affordable laptop and stopped at I3558-5500BLK. The Inspiron I3558-5500BLK is a fully functional, well-made laptop with good speed and a low price point. It's not packed with features and keeps things simple, but for $279, it's not missing anything essential. Its processor provides a good performance and it boasts superior battery life and excellent storage (1TB). The RAM 4GB is good enough for most of the applications I use. The only negative I found is the weight (its heavy), but again for the price I bought, I love it!!

My daughter needed a laptop for school, but she was on a tight budget. She went in on Black Friday looking for another model that was sold out and stumbled upon this one. Unable to try it out in the store but wowed by the price, she took a chance and bought it. Though setup had some issues (audio drivers would not load initially, etc.), she was able, with minimal assistance to get it up and running on her own--and that's saying something since she's an Apple person, and this is her first PC. She's been using it for just over a month now, and is very happy, relative to what she paid for it. It's no race car, but we didn't expect that. She uses it primarily with Word, online, and to watch movies and listen to music. For those tasks, it gets the job done just fine. I see that the model is now on clearance, but even at the clearance price, which is a bit more than we paid for it, the laptop is a good bargain. We'd buy it again.

I bought this Dell Laptop for two reasons. The first is the Dell brand name, I have had many Dell devices in the past 25 years. Secondly was the price. A great value for the features offered. This is not a super fast device but it works well for a business tool and photo storage/editing. The display is quite nice, better than other brands for the price. All the Microsoft Office programs, I'm running Office Pro 2013, work very well with Windows 10. Windows 10 buy the way is very user friendly, just a little different that previous operating systems. I'd buy this product again for the same purpose. I've actually bought two of these for two different sales people in my company. Best Buy's price match program came in handy with both purchases. The Dell was put on sale after both purchases and all I did was show my receipt and got a credit no questions asked.
