For under $500 it would be difficult to find a better machine. What this machine lacks in the esthetics department, more than makes up in performance - CPU/speed, batter life, graphics, etc. Highly recommended for students, yes, including university.

We purchased this Dell laptop for my 14 year old daughter to perform her school work online. We were very impressed to find a touch screen laptop with an impressive amount of storage from a reputable manufacturer such as Dell for such a great price from Best Buy. We couldn't have been any happier with our purchase.

The computer was an upgrade from an older Dell. The system was easy provide great features like touch screen and disk drive. The speed seems good for most everyday function. This is not an advance gamer computer, but a student or family manager computer.

This Laptop exceeded my expectations. I have used it non stop since it arrived and have no complaints. It is very fast and the touch screen made even simple everyday tasks easier and more enjoyable, not to mention complex tasks like doing my taxes. Two thumbs up and I am saving for another one for my wife!!!

I didn't want to spend $1000 on a laptop, but I wanted something that I could depend on and that would have processing speed that would not slow me down. I chose this unit because I was going to be accessing data from an external hard drive, so a large amount of storage space on the hard drive on this unit wasn't as important as the speed of the processor. I am thoroughly pleased with my purchase. I love Dell computers and have never been disappointed by them. This is no different. If I had to say there was one downfall to the unit it would be that it's just a little heavier than I would have liked, but it's a small price to pay for getting everything else that I wanted in the unit and being able to work with peace of mind and comfortably, and not completely blow my budget on a computer that I will only be using 5 to 10% of the time I'm working.

Got this for simple work for school, email, surfing etc. Nothing hardcore. Love Dell and its product. The touchscreen is nice but do not usually use. Other then that dont expect this computer to be used for hard core gaming or applications that use up a lot of computer processing. Good for everyday use.

I picked this Dell laptop up just before Christmas after my Toshiba crashed after about 5 years. This has everything I was looking for in a replacement; 6GB memory, 1TB hard drive for storage, CD/DVD writer, 3 USB ports and an HDMI output. I love that it included Windows 10 and 3 months of anti-virus.

My previous Dell Laptop had several user hours and was beginning to show sighs of age. I've been looking for the best replacement with all of the "necessary" components. This laptop was priced right and looks great. It's lightweight and has every function necessary. I'd recommend this to anyone.

This was a gift for my 10 year old and he loves it! Easy to use , he can play just about every game with no lag (which was a concern),and the battery life is excellent . I would rate a 9 out of 10. Hope this helps you decide!

I bought this to replace an HP laptop that wasn't that old but not very stellar. I've had this laptop about a month and so far it has been great. Speed is much faster than my HP was and the touch screen is a nice added touch.

This laptop was exactly what I was looking for in my price range. It was easy to set up and not a lot of bloat ware. It has a very fast processor and I love the touchscreen. Bought on Christmas eve for 399.00, so I've had it for awhile and I'm still impressed with it!

This touch screen/laptop hybrid is really awesome. It turns on and off super quickly and the software works great. This is a very nice and sleek laptop that is great for students and young professionals that don't want to dish out a ton on a Windows Surface or MacBook.

I purchased laptop for my son for school . He loved it so much he wont stop using it all day long. It's big screen is great for people with visual problems or to watch movies. Its super fast and user friendly.

I wanted the convenience of a touch screen with as much memory for pictures. Speed for gaming was not important. It is quick for my needs and a very useful laptop. I would recommend it to anyone. I am very happy with it especially at the price point. thank you.

Very fast and responsive laptop. I replaced my aging HP laptop with this version. Touchscreen is very fast and responsive. I am able to multi-task and get everyday business completed with the Windows operating system. I am very pleased with this purchase.

My dell computer has been easy to use and I have had no operations problems.

It has a fast processor and the touch screen is very convenient. It seems a little heavy but good size screen. The mouse click bar is one piece and at times I am not hitting to the left far enough. Separate bar would work better. I would recommend overall.
