It was finally time to replace -- more than doubled all features as far as capacity. It really has delivered. Best Buy was wonderful to work with as well

Best Buy customer service made it easy to exchange the computer for a new one and Geek Squad were terrific and very helpful in setting up my new computer as well as making a few changes I asked for.

The keys are hard to see at certain angles with the type of lights they used in the keyboard. I turned off the lights and helped. Overall great computer.

It is fairly lightweight for the size of screen it has. Start up is extremely fast and the battery life is great. I always had to have my other unmentionable brand plugged in or the screen was a little dark, but not with this one.

I could have picked up in two days and not paid the almost 40 dollar extra charge. So would not recommend the next day service from best buy.

After a lot of research, I purchased the Dell Inspiron, and my research paid off. It is a great laptop and I highly recommend it.

Even thought it is a 17" laptop it is small. Because of the small bezels it is not much larger than a regular 15". And it is very fast for what I use it for.

The speed is above average. The versatility is beneficial. One major issue I have found is the inadequate battery life. It does not last a full 8 hour day.

This makes the characters difficult to identify. The key lighting goes off after a few seconds which makes them more difficult to identify. Reflections on the keyboard causes characters to be impossible to identify and causes me to hold one hand over the keys to shade them. Also, I have not been able to stop the curser from jumping to other locations while I am typing or to keep the computer from jumping to unwanted windows. Otherwise, it seems to be a good computer.

Some Notebooks and Tablets with Keyboards have added gesture features to the touchpad hardware and drivers. A few of these features are two or three finger scrolling, pinch zoom, circle zoom, rotate and swiping. These new features may be the reason for the erratic cursor movement since most are turned on by default. You can disable or modify the way the features work in the touchpad driver properties.
Here are some tips to modify these settings:
1. In the Search box, type main.cpl.
2. Touch or click main.cpl in the list of programs.
3. Touch or click the Dell Touchpad tab.
4. Touch or click on the picture of the touchpad.
5. Touch or click Gestures (depending on your computer there may not be a Gestures option).
6. Change the options as preferred.
7. Touch or click Save.
8. Touch or click the X in the upper-right corner to close the Dell Touchpad Utility.
9. Touch or click OK on the Mouse Properties window.
10. If the touchpad still does not work after following the preceding steps, refer to Dell Knowledge Base article - http://dell.to/2iaiujA.

Everything is fast after you get all the bloatware and ads off of it. Screen is bright and responsive; it's very easy to use in multiple locations around the house.

This (besides the gaming laptop) was the only Dell available at Best Buy. We only buy Dell! Love this new laptop. So many features! I wish it had more ports, though!
