It has, quite literally, the worst keypad I've ever had the displeasure of using. Sometimes it's hyper-sensitive (reacting to touches by the base of the thumb) and sometimes it decides to just stop scrolling. Sometimes it suddenly decides to increase the size of the browser window you're in. Sometimes it minimizes all the windows. Sometimes clicks work, and sometimes not. Wooooo! I came from a cheap chromebook that had a much better mousepad. I've used laptops (Windows and Mac) for decades, and this is by far the worst mousepad I've ever experienced. Which product designer thought that silver keys with white letters and a backlight was a good design? Thankfully, I touch type, but if you need to find keys, it can be rough due to the lack of contrast. The screen is decent, except for the "feature" of constant brightening and darkening with the window. You can't turn off this feature, FYI. It's truly nightmarish if you also enable evening yellow lights, as it can't figure out what color is what and regularly shifts, even if the screen doesn't change. The camera is also decent, except that it's constantly adjusting the brightness also, so don't shift forward or back during your video conferencing or else others on the conference will see you constantly going lighter or darker. One of the best features is how it quite regularly restarts when you close the screen. I love coming back to a completely clean window with none of my prior work still on the screen. What a joy! What's also cool is how sometimes it won't stop playing music when you shut the screen. Awesome! Don't bother calling tech support to try to resolve anything. They barely speak English and are about as competent as the Keystone Cops.

Thanks for your review and we're sorry to hear about the issues that you've had with your new computer so far. Please feel free to re-calibrate the touchpad on your computer with the following steps in order to help with the sensitivity:
Some Notebooks and Tablets with Keyboards have added gesture features to the touchpad hardware and drivers. A few of these features are two or three finger scrolling, pinch zoom, circle zoom, rotate and swiping. These new features may be the reason for the erratic cursor movement since most are turned on by default. You can disable or modify the way the features work in the touchpad driver properties. Here are some tips to modify these settings:
1. In the Search box, type main.cpl.
2. Touch or click main.cpl in the list of programs.
3. Touch or click the Dell Touchpad tab.
4. Touch or click on the picture of the touchpad.
5. Touch or click Gestures (depending on your computer there may not be a Gestures option).
6. Change the options as preferred.
7. Touch or click Save.
8. Touch or click the X in the upper-right corner to close the Dell Touchpad Utility.
9. Touch or click OK on the Mouse Properties window.
10. If the touchpad still does not work after following the preceding steps, refer to Dell Knowledge Base article - http://dell.to/2iaiujA.

Lastly, if your computer is shutting down when it should be in sleep mode, please uncheck the box in your Power Manager that allows your computer to shut down in sleep mode in order to save energy.
