This laptop has been kinda weird since day one. In hindsight I should have returned it before the window closed. It does weird pauses when I run my home studio software that don’t happen on my 8 year old Samsung. The battery life wasn’t that great, and now it doesn’t recognize the charger and will not charge anymore. I haven’t been able to use it for almost 3 weeks now. I called Dell customer service and they pretty much insinuated that I damaged it. I can’t take it back to Best Buy to have the Geek Squad take a look at it to see if I qualify for a warranty replacement because of the COVID closures. So, here I am, with a computer I can’t use and I’m still making payments on. Never buying a Dell again.

Billy,
We're sorry to hear about the charging issues that you're having with your computer. Here are some issues that you can look into that may be causing your computer to not perform properly:
We'd recommend checking the following causes of possible AC Adapter Error Messages:
1. Are you using a 3rd party or is a non-Dell branded AC adapter is connected to the PC or docking station? 2. Are you using an AC adapter with a lower wattage? 3. Is the AC adapter is not fully connected to the PC? 4. Check to see if the wall power cord is not fully connected to the AC adapter. 5. The AC adapter or PC's AC adapter port could be damaged. 6. The AC adapter is not recognized in BIOS (System Setup).
