Bought an open box and I got burned. The amount of errors I get everytime I turn this thing on is hard to do work. The audio sucks. Learned my lesson

Extremely disappointed about internet speed

I bought actually two the same models for me and my wife. What a disappointment. All is just fine except ...internet speed. The main reason to buy those laptops was to be able to use 1 GB/s fiber optic speed we have as older laptops support maximum 350 MB/s. But those two brand new Dell laptops originally show the internet speed ...2 MB/s. Then it took few hours of browsing to figure out they installed SmartByte driver, which kills the internet. After removing it, we got the internet speed up to 40MB/s, which is way lower than regular 350 MB/s we have on all other devices. I did chat with Dell support, but it was useless. Will be facing with giving it away to friends or family, while will have to buy two other models (this time will do better research and probably stay away from Dell).

Hello Marko,
Thanks for your review. We're sorry to hear that the internet speeds of your new computers are not what you were hoping for. All devices, including cell phones and desktops have certain limitations when it comes to connection speeds. If you do end up purchasing a different laptop in the future we hope that you decide to stay with Dell but also that you're able to inquire about the internet speed that the computer will allow. I would recommend looking into Dell's 5000 and 7000 Inspiron Series models.
