This laptop is a good buy for the price. The screen looks decent and it has a massive storage capacity of 2TB which will come in handy so you don't need external devices for storage. I see one thing I do not like and it will become problematic or a nuisance right away. The track pad is horrific. It has a lot of play and feels about as cheaply made as I have ever seen on a laptop. I guess they had to get you with something at this price point but use a wireless mouse to get past this known issue. Buy the warranty because you will need it if you plan on keeping it for a few years as a piece of mind.

I purchased my first computer in 1989 and since then have had HP and Gateway's. This is my first DELL in all that time. Over a month and knock on wood, everything is running great. I was even able to load some of my old software that I had loaded on my Windows 7, but not all. This is my first laptop with a matte screen, and I really like it. No glare from my reading light or the window. Computer loads up fast and works well. I outgrew my gaming years, so I'm not concerned with that. This is also my first long term experience with Windows 10 and it did not take long to get used to it. I only gave it 4 stars for now. Who knows what can happen next month.

Haven't had this very long but so far, I love it. Even though it is big, 17.3 screen, it's light enough to carry with me. Love the big screen.

This is one of the best Laptops I have owned, so far anyway (bought in Nov 2017); works well without glitches, little slow at the open but does not freeze. Stay away from HP, I have owned about half a dozen HP laptops and all were BAD lemons, poor quality hardware and it freezes all the time and gets very very hot ! Stick with Dell

Bought to upgrade to a 17" from my 15.6" for better viewing. However, my 15.6" was 4K and I have gotten spoiled by that. The 17" was larger but, the general ergonomics were not comfortable. The Intel i7 is only a dual core and lacked the high end performance I was looking for. The 2TB was only 5400 RPM and the video was slaved to the Intel video processor with the AMD Radeon provided 3D backup. Would have worked much better with a SSD, Quad Core, and dedicated AMD Radeon (disable the intel video). Tried gaming on this with Forza and was very disappointed. Speakers are weak and the 1920x1080 resolution was lacking in brilliance and depth.

This is my first Dell laptop and I am really enjoying it! The 17.3 screen clarity is impeccable! The speed is incredible with the i7! Love the layout of keyboard and having a numbers keypad and ample ports! I have had the laptop for about 5 weeks and I have no complaints! Thanks Dell!

Other than windows 10 update takes hours to finish it up, the specs and design I am satisfied.

Great screen size. Sharp and clear viewing. A little on the heavy side but I don't plan on carrying it around. Overall a great choice.

The i7 microprocessor makes it as fast as anything out there. The 2Tb hard drive makes it capacious. It's no problem to add peripherals for DVD-ROM, etc. It's even portable, of course, but I'll probably never take it on the road. It does what my XPS did with no compromises.

I bought this PC about a month ago and I've used it mostly for browsing, playing videos and general home use. I don't use it for gaming or other intense uses but for my needs, it's been flawless. I like the backlight keyboard, video quality and the sound is a little better than I'd expected. For the money, I'm very happy with it.

Overall the performance is good but I used to use SSD laptop so the speed looks bit slow to me. Graphics card is quite impressive.

I bought this computer to replace my old laptop. I love the backlit keys and the arrangement of the keys. It runs very well and after my own learning curve we have become best friends.l
