    - VERY fast - Finger print scanner VERY responsive and handy - Slim build - Great multitasking - Amazing touch pad gestures - BEST Camera I've ever seen on a laptop - Touch screen is great - Dell mobile connect is AWESOME Minimal Complaints: - opening after sleep is a tad slow (5-10) seconds - Battery life could be better (but can be adjusted to last longer)

I love this 2-in-1. It’s powerful, portable, lightweight and looks super stylish. Puts out 4K video to HDMI and has a backlit keyboard for night time computing and a convertible screen for tablet mode. It also has a 250GB SSD drive so programs open extremely fast as well as super fast boot ups and shutdowns. You cant find a cheaper laptop with all those features.

I bought two of these for my sales reps and now looking at a 3rd for myself. Set up was simple, not overloaded with a bunch of useless software. The stylus has not been too useful and does not have a dock located on the computer, so it will probably disappear quickly. Other than that, 100% would recommend to anyone, especially at the new price of $699.

I decided to go back to college online and needed a new computer to do so. I did some homework and went to Best Buy. This was the most comfortable place, had the largest assortment, and many were on sale. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I expressed my needs and my budget and was walked through multiple laptop computers. I made my decision with ease. The computer itself is just what I needed and I love it. I’ve only had it for a few weeks that is why I gave it a 4. Plus I haven’t had a personal computer in years, only a work laptop.

      Anne,

Thanks for your review. We're sorry to hear that your computer has been overheating on you. We'd recommend the following tips to help your computer from overheating:

      Tips for Proper Usage:

      1. Dell does not recommend placing portable systems directly on your lap. Due to reductions in the thickness of modern portable systems, heat transfer can be an issue.
      2. Using a portable system (Laptop) on a hard, flat, non-cloth surface will increase airflow and reduce heat from underneath and inside the system.
Using the portable system on a blanket, pillow, or other types of cloth will cover up the fan cause the computer to overheat and can cause permanent damage.
      3. It is recommended to use the portable system in a Room temperature of 0°C to 35°C (32°F to 95°F) with a Humidity level no greater than 90%.
      4. Use compressed air to clean the vents on a regular basis.
      5. Using a cooling pad can decrease heat and increase performance.
      6. If you want to know the temperature limitations for your system, go to the Dell Support Website, look up your system model then open the user guide under the manuals link.

You can read the full article here - http://dell.to/2uJ8AdG.

If your computer is still making noises we'd recommend checking to make sure that your BIOS is up to date:

Update the BIOS: An out-of-date BIOS can cause loud fan noises by having an outdated temperature table for the system. Refer to update BIOS and follow the instructions to update the BIOS on your computer. You can also follow up with our Technical Support Team here - 1-800-624-9896.

Battery life is not what it should be for the price of this unit. After just over a month of use, it drops from 100% charged to 96% charged when the charger is taken out and runs down very quickly when just browsing Chrome or working on Word. Wifi signal drops intermittently while showing an update to the driver that cannot be downloaded, this is very annoying for live chats. It sometimes drops wifi without the taskbar wifi icon changing so you think you still have signal. Screen occasionally flickers between different brightness settings. Speakers randomly become tinny for a few seconds. Integrated GPU seems to be half as good as one that should accompany the other components (i7 processor, 16GB memory etc). Despite those good components, the laptop struggles and the fans become very loud when browsing multiple tabs in Chrome. Don't buy this laptop, I'd have returned it if I didn't need it immediately for work.

      jonny111,

Thanks for your review and we're sorry that your computer is not performing the way that it should be. If you'd like to extend the life of your battery you can try these tips:

      Change the Power Plan:

      1. On the notification area of the taskbar, right-click the Battery icon.
      2. On the options list, click Power Options.
      3. Select a power plan on the battery meter, such as Power Saver or Balanced. Windows 10 has a built in 'Battery Saver' mode that can be activated to extend your system's battery life. The Battery Saver mode will monitor and limit background activity and other features such as push notifications. You do have the option to enable or disable this mode within settings or within advanced Battery Saver settings, you can customize the mode to best suit your needs.

      a) Click on the Action Center icon in the taskbar and select the tile for Battery Saver.
      b) If running Cortana then type Battery Saver into the search box and select from the results.
Within the Battery Saver settings page, you will be able to turn on and off the feature and customize the feature to best meet your needs.
      c) Turn Battery Saver On or Off.
      d) Additional settings available via the Battery use and Battery saver settings links.
      e) Battery use shows further info on apps and their power usage.
      f) Battery Saver Settings screen allows you to customize further Battery Saver feature.

You can read the full article here -  http://dell.to/2vfXWf4.

If you want to check updated drivers for your WIFI and your speakers you can visit this site: https://dell.to/2SNPOPn.

We hope that these tips help your computer perform better for you.

      Best,
      Bryan

I came from a 17" inspiron that lasted for 5 years. It was fabulous. It died (because of a virus) so I replaced it with this pc a few weeks ago. The size takes some getting used to but it has a great brain and does what I need it to do. I do mostly spreadsheets and a lot of data files. I wish it had a number pad on the keyboard but best buy did not have a system w/ the larger screen & keyboard size in stock with this power and I was pretty desperate at the time. I pray this too will last me five plus years!

I needed a simple 2-in-1 home computer and Nick at Best Buy recommended this one. Excellent recommendation! IT is easy to set up and use, comes with the right number of bells and whistles, has good battery life, and the weight isn't too heavy for a quick pick up with one hand.

The computer (Dell, Inspiron13-7000), was simple to set up. The INtel 8th generation, I7 chip is as fast as is required for any use. The screen quality is great. We have only had it for a month but have been very pleased with its capability.
