Purchased this computer for my brother who is a freshman in college. It works really well for web browsing, note taking, and he loves the touchscreen capability that it has.

This computer is just the right size for me and I love the fact that the memory is expandable. It rarely glitches up, and it's way faster at startup than my desktop. I'm guessing this is because it has a solid state drive. The feel of the computer is a combination of portable and durable. I highly recommend this one for students or anyone who needs a portable laptop that gets work done.

What a great surprise this computer has been! I actually went in for a less expensive Dell to serve a basic role while on the road house shopping and then while in between homes for a month. This solid-state drive machine with a great touch screen has been fantastic as both a laptop and tablet. If you come across a Geek-Squad certified open box, don't hesitate; you'll love it.

This review is based on my ownership period of about one month and readers should note that I have not yet contacted the Geek Squad to resolve software issues. Overall I found adapting to the unit after owning a Dell Latitude for seven years somewhat of a pain; key and switch positioning takes some getting used to. In that regard I consider it a step down. I do like the boot up response time and the improved features such as USB 3.0. Also, the light weight and battery life are definitely improvements My biggest complaint stems from the pre-loaded software which included some sort of Microsoft Office trial edition. Not wanting or needing the latest bells and whistles I elected to uninstall the trial software and install my previous, older edition. Subsequently my older software works fine but with one exception; every time I open Word or Excel the program fails to find some obscure file and/or goes into a reconfiguration delay before acting normal. Some may say a 15-20 second delay is not much, but staring at the screen brings back memories of operating systems twenty year ago. An internet search found others with the same problem extending many years, all with no good solution. I dropped my rating by one star based on the software issue which is more of a complaint with Microsoft, maybe. I partially blame myself for the keyboard issues; sometimes teaching a seventy year old dog, new tricks takes a while.

Love that I can type on a keyboard, like when writing this review. But I can turn it over and play games in tablet mode, in seconds. I like this 13 inch size, big enough to see well but small and light enough to haul around. I was concerned about the strength of the flip screen but it is firm and smooth in operation. Overall I am very happy with this purchase.

This is a great little machine for a new user or even an experienced one who wants a simple hard working machine without a lot of bells and whistles. It's nice and thin and the size is right for a student to carry with an armload full of books. It's super fast and reliable and with MS Office installed (not included) it's a prefect little production machine.

I recently returned an Asus Q304UA for this Dell "Starlord" i7378 laptop. What a great deal!! I got it on 12/1/16 for $649 then the next day, Best Buy put it on sale for $599 so we got another $50 off after the price adjustment. The warranty at Dell is great. The laptop is a great value for $600. A 256gb SSD, 8gb RAM, newest 7th generation Intel processor. Don't get me wrong: The Asus was a good laptop too, but the Dell had everything I really wanted and the SSD alone was well worth it. I removed some of the bloatware and tweaked it. Be prepared for a half day minimum Windows 10 update. It's the norm on anything you buy. Also, the system will automatically do a BIOS update when you do the Windows Update: BE SURE TO LEAVE IT PLUGGED IN AND ON!! The only thing I'm not crazy about is the display. It's a little washed out and not bright like the Asus laptops. But it's not a dealbreaker at this price. Love that it has backlit keyboard and I think the keyboard is less "mushy" than the Asus. Very sleek, classy build with the steel gray and beveled edges. So far so good after a few days. Oh, and if you game, you CAN play games in low res modes. We play Rift and Devilion (Trion games) with no problems. It's able to keep up with my intel i3630QM i7 laptop in that department. Very nice little laptop. Thanks Best Buy for such a good deal

I purchased this laptop to use when I go to clients' homes and need to show them presentations. It is fast and dependable. I've been using it about a month now and have had no problems. It holds a charge throughout the day while I'm out working and has plenty of storage. I would recommend as a lightweight, easy to carry laptop.

I'm so pleased with this laptop. I've always been a huge fan of HP, but after my last one died, I decided to look at some other brands. I ended up looking at mostly Dells because they had the best prices I could find. I had always been a little weary of Dells, but I'm so glad I purchased this one. It has everything I need, from a backlit keyboard to the ability to flip into a tablet. It has an awesome battery life; it can usually last around 6-8 hours when I'm doing normal stuff like browsing the internet or using Microsoft Office. I only have two complaints about this computer. First, the power button is on the side. It's incredibly easy to accidentally bump. It's not so bad now that I'm used to it, but it takes a while to get used to. My second complaint is the speaker. It's on the bottom of the computer. That means that if you listen to anything with the laptop sitting on a table or in your lap, the sound seems muffled and you have to turn the volume up a lot. Overall, this is a fantastic laptop at a fantastic price for college students or anyone who just needs a reliable laptop to do everyday tasks. I would definitely recommend it.

After a ton of research and speaking to many salespeople, I decide on the dell 13.3 laptop. It had all the features I wanted and felt window 10 was the way for me to go. I felt comfortable using windows and had office installed. I really like using the touchscreen. It has adequate storage for my use. I also wanted solid state.

This is my 2nd attempt at a replacement laptop. Had a five year old ASUS that finally died and replaced it with an Lenovo but was not happy with performance. Decided on this machine and am very happy I did. SSD is the way to go. Super fast boot up, 2 in 1 features, great battery life. Owned it for two months now and am very happy.

I needed to buy a new laptop when my old one crashed and I was very happy with this purchase. The laptop is thin and compact but powerful and having a solid state drive makes it run so much faster and cleaner. The sales associate was very helpful in helping me find the best options. He was very helpful knowledgeable!
