Great computer. My favorite feature is the able to transition from a traditional computer to a touch screen. It has plenty of speed, memory and the ability to watch videos. It has been a great computer for travel and for my kids to complete homework. I highly recommend this computer for everyday use.

Purchased this for online grad school and is perfect for taking along with me wherever I go so I can work on my education every time I have a few moments. Is fast and reliable. At first, thought battery life wasn’t that good but found the settings and adjusted them and will last for hours while doing homework.

Good high mid range laptop

This is a pretty good high mid range laptop, it's not a high end gaming laptop, but it will handle a lot. 256 gb SSD is an M.2 NVME 2230 SSD. There are two M.2 NVME B & M key slots, one that will handle size 2280 and the other can only be a size 2230. You will have to move the 2230 from the first slot to the second if you want to have two ssd's and you'll need to find another screw that fits. Memory is not upgradable, so you're "stuck" with 8gb, but that is plenty for most applications. I use it for moderate MS Office uses, including Powerpoint. Gets a little hot under heavy loads, and you'll definitely hear the fan. Memory card reader is a micro SD, so plan accordingly, largest one at this time is 512 gb. If you're wondering, NVME is faster than SATA, the two are not interchangeable even though both use the M.2 interface.

I actually love this laptop. I have owned four before it and it is my favorite! I love the touchscreen. It is easy to use. The only reason I gave it a four was it did not recognize my thumbprint after a month. I have to use my pin to get in.

I like this laptop - everything is great, except (1) fingerprint scanner gets glitchy sometimes and (2) battery life is not very good. Its just ok. Rest of it is great. I keep it plugged in all the time, so dont worry about battery so much.

I was using a pretty basic laptop before, but this has been an awesome upgrade for me! I love how easy it is to use, the fingerprint scanner sign in, the touch screen, the look of it overall. I’ve only had it for a little over a month, but so far it’s so great!

I purchased this for school and I love it! Perfect size and weight to just carry around and it’s not heavy where it would weigh down my back pack. Very portable and just overall amazing! I love how it is also touch screen and transforms to a tablet! Very convenient for my classes!!

Bought this for my son to use for college. The computer is lightweight but sturdy - it should survive riding around in a student’s backpack.
Performance is more than adequate and should be fine for a few years.
Battery life has been good. Wi-Fi reception is also good.

Change close lid settings to hibernate

I bought an open box. Portable size. 256gb hdd has plenty of room for my office related needs. i-5 is 8265u. Experienced discharged battery when lid was closed. Saw that 67% of discharge went to screen saver or something. After some research I changed the close lid setting to hibernate. Smooth sailing ever since.
The panel is only 220 or 225 nits, so it is not the brightest or most vivid screen, but indoors it is just fine.
Speakers are loud and decent when you turn them up. No bass really.
Surprisingly, battery saver mode is really usable.
fingerprint sensor on power button is pretty slick and consistent.
Really sturdy build and happy to report that it can be charged via usb-c port.
I plan to use it for some time to come. Was able to get monthly warranty subscription from manufacturer for piece of mind.
All in all a great deal.

I have had this laptop since May of 2019, and I have found this laptop very convenient. For 13 inches, it is really small and light (things not to say first time in bed); I am able to fit it in my textbook filled backpack for school. It has decently spaced keyboard keys for my style of typing and is pretty silent when typing super fast in lectures. The case is firmly built.
But my one big gripe with this laptop, and this gripe got too big far after my return period, is the battery life. This laptop is claimed to get up to 5.5-6 hours of battery life. I am aware that certain applications and settings may affect that statistic, however when I did put everything to low and just have it idling/sleeping AND or doing very minimal tasks, I get at best 5 hours if I am lucky. And it has been like this since I purchased this laptop. Although, I initially dismissed the significantly shorter battery life initially. Luckily, I am always near an outlet when I use it for the most part. But for the days when I have longer lectures and I am in the middle of the lecture hall, I pray that the laptop does not shutdown as I am taking notes even though I came in with a full battery. I performed a battery diagnostic in the system of windows and it said that the batter hours I would receive on average is just under 5 hours. And in certain situations, the glare of indoor lights or outdoor lighting overtake the screen and I cannot see a thing, even at its brightest setting.
So, I do say what the laptop has been able to do is what I expected, but the poor battery life and poor screen reflection has made using this laptop less than desired. I am currently waiting for a good catch of a laptop from Best Buy to replace this laptop as soon as possible.
I would still recommend the laptop, but you have to be okay with the shorter battery life as compared to similar laptops in the market. But if you want to make the most of your time with this laptop, plugged or unplugged, especially unplugged, I cannot recommend this laptop for it's price.

Walker,
We're happy to hear that you've found ways for your computer to work for you. In addition to some of the things you've already done to improve your computer's battery life, here are some tips:
Change the Power Plan:
1. On the notification area of the taskbar, right-click the Battery icon. 2. On the options list, click Power Options. 3. Select a power plan on the battery meter, such as Power Saver or Balanced. Windows 10 has a built in 'Battery Saver' mode that can be activated to extend your system's battery life. The Battery Saver mode will monitor and limit background activity and other features such as push notifications. You do have the option to enable or disable this mode within settings or within advanced Battery Saver settings, you can customize the mode to best suit your needs.
a) Click on the Action Center icon in the taskbar and select the tile for Battery Saver. b) If running Cortana then type Battery Saver into the search box and select from the results. Within the Battery Saver settings page, you will be able to turn on and off the feature and customize the feature to best meet your needs. c) Turn Battery Saver On or Off. d) Additional settings available via the Battery use and Battery saver settings links. e) Battery use shows further info on apps and their power usage. f) Battery Saver Settings screen allows you to customize further Battery Saver feature.

I love Dell computers, my 3rd one. I used other computers for 8 years, and came back to a Dell. The new Dell Inspiron 13 70002 2in 1 has been great, faster easier. My only regret, I didn't check the weight, its heavy to carry around.

Specs wise, this laptop is comparable to the MacBook Air and about half the price. I decided to save some money and go with this little Dell. I’m glad I did. This laptop is fast enough to keep up with my work and leisurely activities.

It’s got everything I wanted: great processor speed, size, light weight, touch screen, lighted keyboard and great price! Am loving it so far; though just in two months, maybe ask me in a year, let’s see if it withholds it’s value! Thanks.

It's fast, the screen quality is great. I didn't think I would use the touch screen but find it is very handy. I purchased the previous model for a family member and that made me decide I should get one for myself.

We were looking for an inexpensive laptop to replace one that wasn't working. This item offered all the features we needed, lightweight, touch screen, reasonable price. We're happy with the extra fold back feature we weren't expecting.

This laptop computer is very lightweight and slim compared to the hp laptop previously owned. The only downside of this is I need to purchase microsoft word programs, if I need to work on documents since it's brand new. Another downside is if I leave my computer on, to tends to other things or to take a break, it would shut off or power down. This would require me to turn the computer back on and scan my fingerprint on the power button, in order for me to continue what I was doing. The plus side is I don't need to type in a password if I'm locked out of my computer since it uses a fingerprint scan, and I can ask Cortana about questions I might want googled like movie showtimes.

The Dell Inspiron 13 7000 2-1 is fast, lightweight, and powerful. I'm very happy with its performance. I love the touch screen and I got the pencil for great graphics. I changed from the IBM Lenovo and I do not regret it
