I bought this computer about a month ago. So far it’s been working great. It boots up fast. I use it at work for many tasks related to teaching. I like that it flips to a tablet and it has a touchscreen. It Makes testing students a much easier than if I was using a laptop. The screen is big enough that I can see student related data while testing. I would definitely purchase another one. My son uses it for homework too and loves it.

Dell is my first choice in computers whether a laptop or desktop and I've had a few of each. (Dell also offers relatively cheap extended factory direct warranties which I've always bought but never needed to use.) My past Inspiron proved to be a work horse and this new model appears to be one too. The Intel Core i5 processor is fast and one of the best made in my non-tech opinion as I've had a few of them over the years. This is the second solid state Dell computer for me with the other being a one year old desktop and I'm looking forward to long lives from each. I keep most of my computers 5 years but I typically have them built and customized to my needs. This laptop came pre-programmed but so far so good. Haven't noticed a tremendous amount of pre-installed 'junk'. As I've had this laptop only a month, I haven't used all its features yet such as writing/drawing on the touch screen or utilizing the camera. What I have used I love! I like that it's a convertible screen that completely folds. The backlit keyboard is nice to the touch with raised keys. There is no DVD/CD drive. There are 2 mini-SD drive slots, a mini-HDMI slot and a USB port. The computer is relatively lightweight, thin and easy to carry through airport lines and takes up only a small amount of space in carry on bags. I bought this for travel and the 13 inch screen is perfect my purposes. The battery life is quite long (at least 10 hours excluding gaming/streaming). It came with Windows 10 installed. I bought this as an open box item as it was a terrific value and looked fresh from the factory. It's definitely worth paying full price though.

Excellent computer for the price. It has a clear, crisp screen with vibrant colors. The keys are easy to use. The processor is quick and I can have several windows open and it won't bog down. I didn't give 5 stars because the battery does not last very long and the fingerprint reader is not very good. It takes several attempts for the computer to unlock.

Bought this smaller laptop to use when I volunteer at a local non-profit. I was tired of carrying a 15" laptop back and forth. This has a nice screen and is fast enough and light enough for my needs. The only issue I have had is the fingerprint reader doesn't work. Maybe I can get that straightened out, but it's not a deal breaker. Overall I am enjoying using this laptop.

After carefully researching computers for beginning high-school students, I selected this Dell product for my granddaughter, who is a high-school freshman. Her college-student brother added his advice, also. She was really pleased with the size of the computer, the various functions, the speed with which it work, all in all, she loves it! I’ve heard not one complaint, and hope it lasts a long time!

Bought this after trading in my 17" Lenovo that was in part a gaming laptop. My last two laptops have been 17" so this little machine is quite a departure. It's so portable and light I dont mind taking it everywhere with me which really helps with work. It's also super quiet and the battery lasts all day for normal processing. I would highly recommend as an everyday use work laptop

This laptop is perfect for school. First off, it’s lightweight. It is also very quick at processing the information. The only problem I run into is when the laptop isn’t on power saving mode it tends to run out of juice quickly. As long as you have charged it the night before and bring a charger (for those long days) you’re completely fine.

I have a MSI 2014 12 gb ram laptop as well as this. This is faster for gaming haha. I can also play games without it having to be plugged in, like a gaming laptop. Now the battery life, realistically is around 4-5 hours of straight use on one charge, and the charger is small and discreet, only problem is it's a little short. I got it during labor day with student deals, for 500$, and what a great purchase, i am in highschool, and it is perfect for me as one charge will last me through the day. All i am gonna say just don't overpredict the touchscreen use, it's nice, but i don't use it that much, so buying a smart pen FOR ME was a waste. Just figure out what you are gonna use it for before you purchase accessories. For gaming: It can run most games, but this is not a gaming computer. For example, running apex legends works, but definitely is not smooth, while less demanding games like rocket leauge run very smoothly. So do not buy this with that ecpectation for major gaming like, Apex, R6s, and other demanding games like WoW, yet I haven't tried some of them, just make sure you understand for gaming, get at least 6gb ram, for major gaming, get at least 12 gb ram. In summary, great laptop in general for the price 9/10 recommend. Also the keyboard lights up which is cool.
