Started Hot then Not so Hot

However, the laptop monitor has been inconsistent. When I turn the laptop shut and open it again, there is this weird teal blue-ish screen where I cannot access anything or see anything. I have to manually turn the laptop off and turn it back on again to get rid of it (although that doesn't always address it). Any input would be greatly appreciated. Moreover, the wireless is a little funky and goes in and out, but what laptops don't. However, the battery life is a little shaky (had it for little over a year) and doesn't seem to hold up as initially announced. Overall, I like it, but I might just have to leave it at home due to the screen issues and inconsistent batter life.

Lastly, here are some tips to hopefully improve your overall battery life:
Change the Power Plan:
1. On the notification area of the taskbar, right-click the Battery icon.
2. On the options list, click Power Options.
3. Select a power plan on the battery meter, such as Power Saver or Balanced. Windows 10 has a built in 'Battery Saver' mode that can be activated to extend your system's battery life. The Battery Saver mode will monitor and limit background activity and other features such as push notifications. You do have the option to enable or disable this mode within settings or within advanced Battery Saver settings you can customize the mode to best suit your needs.
1) Click on the Action Center icon within the taskbar and select the tile for Battery Saver.
2) If running Cortana then type Battery Saver into the search box and select from the results.
Within the Battery Saver settings page you will be able to turn on and off the feature and customize the feature to best meet your needs.
3) Turn Battery Saver On or Off.
4) Additional settings available via the Battery use and Battery saver settings links.
5) Battery use shows further info on apps and their power usage.
6) Battery Saver Settings screen allows you to customize further Battery Saver feature.

Don't buy this laptop!!! Worst ever!

The power and volume switches are right where you instinctively lift it up - so you turn the power off or adjust the volume every time you lift it! Within 3 months, it crashed - it only worked as a screensaver - lost 18 years of photos. It randomly goes to black screen and won't do anything. The base of the laptop is huge and the keyboard is small - half of the base is nothing. Battery doesn't hold a charge. Wifi doesn't stay connected. I literally have my computer plugged into the wall, plugged into the printer and plugged directly into the modem - NOT exactly WIRELESS!!! Camera just stopped working this am right before it froze and went to black screen.

Not a great computer

Dell was quick to send a new one, but only worked well for about a year after before it became unbearably slow. Sometimes unable to open apps, and very slow to do the easiest of tasks. Not impressed of the quality for the money I spent
