Has problems signing in with fingerprint. Also now wireless ac adapter just won't work. Hardware problem. Grrrr. And im not a heavy user!!! Just browsing and paying bills. Also keeps disconnecting from my printer

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The 1st day I purchased the computer, The computer updated to Windows 10, computer got stuck on a loop as the updates kept having issues. It first seemed to have issues with installing the stupid pre-installed McAffee virus protection..that is what seemed to start the problems. Then all went downhill from there and ended up on a constant loop to boot the computer back up. Will return first thing tomorrow. Hopefully it was just a lemon that fell through the assembly line, but it definitely seems like a waste of great hardware. Specs doesn't mean a thing if the software in the computer is faulty. Not sure if it's a Microsoft issue, this would be hard to believe as I have an Asus Zenbook that has never had any issues and has worked as a champ. Not sure if I'll try again with Dell.

Thanks for your review and we’re sorry to hear that your computer froze on you. We'd recommend running the following diagnostic to see what may be wrong with your computer:
1. Run a Computer Diagnostic. To determine if your computer is experiencing a hardware problem, run the Dell Preboot System Assessment (PSA) Diagnostics. For information on how to run Diagnostics, and to determine the issue, refer to Dell Knowledge Base Article: http://dell.to/2iaiujA.
2. Check Safe Mode for Symptoms. To boot into safe mode, please follow the instructions below:
a) Start the computer.
b) Tap 'F8' on the keyboard immediately and every one second until the Dell logo screen disappears. From there you will see the Windows Advanced Options Menu on the screen. (If the Windows Advanced Options Menu does not appear, restart the system and try again.)
c) Select Safe mode with Networking and press Enter.
d) Log on as the administrator or as a user with administrative access.
e) Open applications and test the computer in safe mode. If the symptoms exist in safe mode, please continue the troubleshooting steps in this article. If the symptoms do not exist in safe mode, the issue is likely related to a driver or software and you may wish to complete step 3 to see if you are able to resolve the lockups or freezing.
3. Check for Malware. Malware (Virus, Spyware, etc.) can definitely cause a Windows system to lock up or appear to hang. To check for malware on your system and to ensure that your computer is up to date on security software, visit Dell Knowledge Base Article: http://dell.to/2wWP1zI.

Never really had any interest in them but this one? I love this Dell. I’ll start with when you pull it out of the box, this doesn’t feel like your run of the mill Dell (sorry dell). Sheweee! She’s pretty. The Dell has some weight to it, not too much, but at .7lbs it’s just enough to where it doesn’t feel like a flimsy cheapo laptop. It’s got actual really nice brushed aluminum on the outside, not aluminum look plastic like my old inspiron. The hinges feel substantial and strong, they feel like they’ll support the flipping back and forth you’ll be doing with the Dell. You’ve got your HDMI, USB-C, 2 standard USB, headphone/mic and an SD card ports on the sides. Various levels of backlighting on the keyboard is nice, not just on and off. It’s got a fingerprint scanner and I had to look to find the webcam because of the way it’s built into the screen. The speakers are decent for a .70” laptop. The screen, while being 1080p looks gorgeous. Very crisp and responsive to the touch with just the right amount of bezel. Playing games on the touchscreen in tablet mode feels great. The internals of the dell has some gems. 8gb ram, solid state drive and 8th gen I7 quad core processor make this machine very quick for normal everyday usage. I haven’t loaded anything crazy big on this laptop as of yet, but out of the box it’s probably the fastest computer I have. I really, really like this laptop. It looks cool, it runs great, it’s fast and it’s a 2 in 1. I would have never thought I would enjoy a 2 in 1 touch screen laptop this size, as much as I do. This one Is definitely a-go. However the hardware in comparison to apple is a deal breaker. The fingerprint scanner stopped working after a week or less and wouldn't let us reset it. The laptop was returned immediately and was replaced by a MacBook Air with an i5 instead of an i7 and the Air works better then the Dell. Would not recommend.
