It is light, thin, and has dvd recording functions. It does what I need it to do and is relatively fast with its i7 processor, but note, it's a mobile version which isn't as fast as the desktop version, but still fast enough for most people. In addition, it only has a 4 cell battery, but I get about five hours out of it, on days I've used it continuously. On other days of light use, It lasts much longer. I thought the low capacity of the battery would be an issue, but the way it was designed and the hardware inside are very energy efficient. I would recommend this laptop to anyone. It's not touch screen, but frankly the only touch screen I need or want is my cell phone.

So you give up some things like touch screen and voice recognition but with the I7 and other specs: you are able to run some gaming without "lag" and yet still do stuff for college or whatever else you may need to do. It's a pretty good laptop. It does have a dvd which a lot of laptops don't anymore so kind of like that.

This laptop is built well with few minor things to note. Pro's: 1. Very good processor/RAM for the money. 2. Good display compared to other brands like Lenovo. 3. Laptop feels a bit heavy (can be a con for few) but I am happy because it is well built. Con's: 1.OS load time is a bit slow because of 5400RPM HDD but can be replaced with SSD which will increase the performance. 2. Attracts dust and finger prints since it is a dark colored laptop. 3. CD ROM drive is kind of flimsy and feels cheep. This shouldn't be a problem for many since we are not using CD Rom's these days. 4. Size. 5. Feels a bit heavy. Also most of the laptops are a bit heavy in this price range.

I was in the market for a decently priced laptop and to my surprise I found this i7 processor laptop with 1 TB hard drive for under $500. I'm loving it so far especially with windows 10.

This laptop does exactly what I need it to. No extensive programs or gaming, just standard office programs and web surfing. It plays videos well and has plenty of storage. Overall, a good laptop for the price.

Very happy with this laptop- i7 processor, 6GB memory, 1TB hard drive, and DVD drive for a very reasonable price! From reading the other reviews the only negative that I saw was that there wasn't an "on/off" indicator LED which hasn't been an issue for me at all.

I purchased this laptop a few months ago and so far I'm pretty satisfied! I'm not much of a laptop user, so I didn't need anything very complicated. This laptop has a great balance of features for a great price; I can stream videos without issue, browse the internet, listen to music, and do my work, which are my main uses for it. I think my only complaint is the sensitivity of the mouse, but that's easily remedied with a plug in mouse. If you're looking for something basic, but don't want something that will be reduced to a brick as soon as you try to run multiple programs, I would definitely recommend this laptop.

I got this for business use. I was debating over an i3 or i5. Then this one went on sale. I couldn't pass it up. Hopefully I can get more done with it than the dinosaur HP I had

We found this computer as part of our bargain deals hunting - it was amazing to find an i7 for less than $700! Overall, it is a great buy for a customer looking for a slightly-edged-gaming computer but perfect for any situation.

I bought it as deal of the day and the price was very reasonable I liked the last generation i7 processor and the 1Tb HHD for less than 500$. display is OK but as fancy as other models, but it was clear from the description

My son got this as an opened box item at a very good price. WORKS WONDERFULLY! In fact, I'm keeping an eye out for one to replace my husband's!

Bought this computer on sale for $449. Couldn't be happier. Upgraded to Windows 10 with no issues. Must complete Windows Update first. The I7 processor is lightning fast! Huge 1Tb hard drive. Very happy with this purchase.

Good balance of price and ruggedness, making for a reliable PC for home use. Lightweight for the screen size, reasonably fast for the specs.

My son uses this for school and for gaming. He's been very pleased with the speed and performance, and we're happy that it's been sturdy.

This is a great laptop for under $500.00 since is has an I7 processor and a 15.6" screen. I just upgraded to Window 10 which is a big improvement over Windows 8.1.

This laptop have it all. The i7 processor along with the 6gig of ram makes this laptop a heck of a beast. Its super fast

So far I like this computer. Not using it for anything to crazy web email music. It seems to move pretty fast. Great for the price.

I love my Dell Inspiron 15 5000 Series. It has a 15.6" screen, intel core i7, and 1TB hard drive. This thing is fast! I'm actually happy (now) that my old laptop gave out because I had a warranty from Best Buy and the sales associates really helped me out to find exactly the laptop I needed at a great price. Open box deals are awesome. The price of the laptop plus a full 1yr warranty and I only had to pay $45 out of pocket! The rest was covered from the credit I received from my previous damaged laptop.

Very quick and light. Good everyday laptop and an excellent price.
