For the price, this laptop is great. I paid 449+tax when there was a promotion and I am so glad I did. Graphics card isn't great but for my purposes and budget, I think this is as good as I could do.

Everything is good but the screen...
I compared it with my friend's computers which have similar hardware but you definitely can pay much less on this one. The cpu, memory and hard drive are all in the mid-high level, so I am very satisfied with this price.

The keyboard feel is nice to the touch. The speed if very fast. Disappointed with the DVD since I can't listen to music CDs. Don't care for location of power plug, would like it on the back. Also would rather have the 2 USB ports on the left than on the right, especially if you use a mouse. Had to return the first computer since the headphone jack did not work.

very happy with the computer they price matched it to Walmart's computer they had. It has slow down after I had it for 2 months but other than that it's a great computer for the price. I think the major reason it slow down as I upgraded to Windows 10

Was definitely surprised in finding an I7 processor laptop that didn't cost over $700. This isn't a 2 in 1 machine but it does the job for what I need to do and it runs like a champ. Also loaded Win10 on it with no problems at all.

I did a fair amount of research before purchasing this product. Most of the new laptops did not come with a CD/DVD reader. As an on-line student there are some classes that come with DVD's. This one is not a touchscreen, that is good! But the biggest surprise was the large keyboard with a number pad. I did not realize how much I missed the ability to 10-key. Good laptop, not the fastest or the newest, but a good value for the money and perfect for what I was looking for.

I love this computer, the i7 processor makes everything so quick and easy. It has no touch screen, which in my opinion is not needed in a computer at all. I don't like touching the screen of the computer im doing my homework on. I have a 50$ tablet and my phone when I feel like touching things. Very impressed w this laptop.

Bought this computer to replace a 7 year old laptop. We've had it for about two months now and use it as our upstairs computer, and I take it to school board meetings. So far I have been able to do everything that I need. Downloaded and installed Windows 10 without any problems. So far, we are very happy with it.

Comes with everything. You need for day to day use. Downside is that the keyboard is not backlit, but for the price I can't complain. Boots up quick and the windows 10 free upgrade went through without a hitch.

Bought this item for myself buy wife took it. The processor does run the programs fast enough, even while multi-tasking. The Numeric keypad is a bonus. Windows 10 is way better than Windows 8. Good purchase.

I like the set up of the laptop, it can hold a bunch of files. The only thing that I am having issues with is learning about the new Windows 10 portion, but there is a tutorial on it if you have the time.

I have been shopping for a new laptop for about a year, figuring on getting an Intel Core i5 but this Dell Inspiron came up for sale with a i7 at the same price range & I jumped on it. It set up easy and has run flawlessly.

When I first set it up had trouble with Microsoft Solitaire, it wouldn't install, I ended up returning the laptop for the same one. I had the same problem with the next one. As it turns out it was a Microsoft issue not the dell laptop. It is fast and does what I need it to do.

Was excited to see a Dell with 5th gen i7 for such a low price! I went on to Dell website and found almost same laptop (8gb this one has 6) for $200 more. Computer was perfect out of the box. Did not have Win10 installed, but can upgrade when ready so no big deal.

I have had this laptop for 2 months now. Sometimes when I turn it on, the screen remains black, and I have restart the pc a couple of times before it starts correctly. I don't care for Window 8.1 either. I have any issue with finding all the programs on the machine like the calculator which use to found under accessories with previous pc's I've EVER used. That is frustrating. However, it is a quality laptop with a decent amount of RAM with a great i7 processor. Overall, it is good and worth the purchase ($450+).

This is the third one I have purchased for our company and have not had any problems with the previous two. It is one of the few laptops that is consistently in stock at the store with an i7 processor. The only negative for me is not having 8.1 Pro installed.

It seems that because its a Dell and a little lower in price, it must have a bunch of add-ons that are meaningless for most users. WTF is Driver Update? You don't think I can update my own drivers AND THE SOFTWARE SLOWS DOWN THE WHOLE COMPUTER. What a mess. Does Windows 8/10 need Google Chromium to run the computer? I think Chromium slows down everything. What a waste. The computer is clicking along a 64 bit word at 2.3 BILLION cycles per second. How could a human being, who does not think in cycles per second be faster than a computer at 2.3GIG?????
