Worked very well and ran both old and new software. Our office deals with some older cases that require the use of now outdated forms in a retrospective evaluation. We were surprised to find that windows 10 used as a local login (no microsoft acct) ran both our new and old software seamlessly. The 12Gig of ram and quad core cpu keeps up with our high speed scanner that does both sides of a page at the same time. It just worked out of the box with only small setting changes for security in our needs.

I love my new computer, its been almost two months since I purchased it and I have decided to make a review after checking that the computer works as it should throughout the two months (sometimes you write a good review and the next day it stops working and well, that review would have been meaningless). So everything has been working pretty good in the last two months, the keyboard is very nice, same the mouse and of course, the windows 10 is super nice. if you buy it you will get webroot secure anywhere for free within 6 months, however, I had a little problem where I mistakenly downloaded a Trojan (that was really my bad and I was careless, never download weird stuff from the internet that it is enclosed in a exe and the website is unknown, always download stuff from torrent and when you do, sheck that the files are not enclosed in a ziprar or exe file). so I got a Trojan and the webroot was not too efficient removing it and I had to do a restoration point. the computer is very fast, is high performance and I need it to do my designs and photographic work, plus all my university papers. edge is very nice and fast no more google chrome. it has very nice applications and the interface from windows 10 is very nice and cutting edge, perfectly to be run on this computer. so yeah so far so good, buy this computer if you have the money and want a above the average computer stats. it always good to be a little bit above the average with technology or you will find yourself replacing a computer soon because technology updates as fast as flying colors. the more stats and updated your computer, the less likely you will replace it soon and this computer is very good for the money. I have had DELLs through out my life and this is my third computer because the previous one was a dell laptop with very average stats (and previous that one I had another one very simple 10 years ago) and I squeezed it for 6 years till I couldnt tolerate its slowness and low performance and changed for this one. I can see this one is going to serve me for very long time, at least I can trust DELL computers not failing on me just because of the brand, if they are going to fail is because I either put a virus, or bugs or spyware in them, or because they are too old to handle the new software and web technological advances. it has many useful usb ports and a sd card slot. I never had a problem with windows ten. its very fast when you connect an esternal hardware and when opening heavy softwares. I would buy this one rather than an expensive mac which would be way much more money and less stats. the computer also has built in applications which I find very nice and helpful I feel like a queen and that my quality of life really improved a lot, my previous slow performance dell laptop was driving me crazy!! yes this computer is the bomb and the price is very fair.

I have multiple HP Desktops that I own. They have performed well for me, but I needed another PC dedicated to the sole use of my bookkeeper & accountant. I always read the reviews before purchasing a PC, and this time was no different. I selected this model, my first Dell. The processor speed and large hard drive clinched it for me. I have had it for a couple of weeks and I must say that I am absolutely pleased with it. Super fast with Windows 10 pre-installed. Absolutely no regrets.

It's faster, reliable and combine with logitec wireless mouse and kboard are the perfect team. Windows 10 it's smoothly than windows 8, recommended.

This computer is the fastest that I have owned, and also the quietest. It is easy to set up and exceeds my expectations in all respects.

The computer was an excellent value for the money, but was very difficult to set up. Had to return it to BestBuy to have it reset. Also, there are too many unsolicited software programs loaded with the computer. I am not sure wheteher these programs are PUPS. I prefer to have only the operating system loaded at purchase. Many of these programs are a nuisance.

To be fair I purchased this unit off what I call the "scratch and dent" table. It was definitely an "open box" returned item, but the price was just too great to pass up @ $350. Unfortunately it turned out to be too good to be true as i originally had nothing but grief with the unit. Now also to be fair, although I got frustrated with Dell support, and I wasted a lot of time as I went through 3 hard drives because right after I set it up the machine failed to boot. Even when new hard drives were installed by both myself and a tech with new OS partitions, it would not boot. Finally Dell sent me a box to return it, which I did. The turn around time was amazing as I received it back with a week! Since doing so it has appeared to run just fine. It is extremely quiet and seems to have more than adequate power for my purposes, which do not include gaming although I typically have at least 3-5 programs running or open simultaneously. I have only had it back a week, but it has been performing flawlessly.

This Dell Inspiron desktop was advertised as having 4 USB 3 ports and 2 USB 2 ports. It actually has 2 USB 3 and 4 USB 2. It set up and ran as expected, but after a couple of weeks it crashed during a Windows 10 update. It took me several days, including two resets (resets, not restarts) to get it going again except there was no sound output. I used the Dell support site to upload two drivers (RealTek and a chipset) to get the sound to work. Surprising lack of Windows 10 drivers for my printer and scanners. Otherwise seems to be working okay again (except for the lack of USB 3 ports). I would recommend this to a friend ONLY after all Windows 10 issues are sorted out.

I was worried about Windows 10, but I think it's much better than Windows 8. Computer is fast and the set up was very easy.

We are very happy for far with our new Dell Inspiron Desk Top. We have only had this up and running for a month but it has impressed us with how quiet it runs. We felt the price was fair especially since it had the new Windows 10. The transfer of files was very easy and it appears almost all files completed. I would like to have had an option for the larger SD cards that are used by my Cannon Camera. I would buy this unit again.

Extremely fast. I'm having to learn Windows 10 so I've not yet used this to its fullest potential. I believe that I will love it when I can use all the wonderful goodies already installed. I did load Microsoft Office as I was very used to its programs. Loaded easily and works without a hitch. Again its blazing fast. Thank you.

I purchased this desk top computer for the home; because I need a computer that had enough speed and memory to do CAD drawings in a reasonable time. This computer was recommended to me.

Has great speed and love windows 10 has plenty of memory and the hard drive has plenty of room for all my music and photos

Dell has an excellent reputation, though I have never owned one of their products. Their reviews in Consumer Reports have always been in the top echelon. However, in this case it was my computer guy who I call whenever there is a problem or question that recommended this one. With a 2T hard drive and 12GB of memory, it should last a long time. It is certainly faster than my old one.

Excellent full featured desktop in the Dell tradition. Excellent speed, storage, and everything familiar with my old Dell. Love the Windows 10 standard. Comes with wired keyboard and wired mouse. I didn't install these as I continue to use my Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse combo I already had. Works just fine. Everything I wanted in a sensible and versatile desktop. Very happy!

I must say I'm well pleased with this computer. I went in looking for an up to date version from Dell. I had a Demission desktop previous but it was a vista. This computer is very fast great shortcuts and has tons of memory. The graphics to have a middle grade card in it are really awesome. I didn't upgrade to a HD monitor but I do have a very clear picture on my current moniter. Overall I highly recommend this computer. It has wireless features already on board also..

I picked this up as an open box unit that was originally on a great sale. The processor is fast and the ram is awsome...I already had a good system but it was an xp operating system so some things I wanted to use were not available. I just pluged in my old monitor ( A good one) Keyboard and mouse ( Bluetooth unit from HP and speakers and I was up and running in no time

I bought this to replace my WINXP, and I couldn't be more happier, so fast, and easy to use, even though I have never used the win 10, I would recommend this to any one wanting to up grade, and especially some one who is a person who doesn't use their computer every day.

So far so good with the new Dell. The computer is fast, has the necessary software, wasn't to cumbersome to set up and seems to be working reasonably well. The only issue I had was buying the thing from Best Buy. I researched it online, found 20 locations that indicated they had it in stock available for pick up. I placed my order, paid my money and oops it isn't available anywhere, it couldn't even be ordered, it was on back order. Then it was a nightmare to get all of my money credited back to my account, they wanted to keep some of it for some Digital software that was "free", but it wasn't. After a couple of hours on the phone over a couple of days, that issue was finally resolved. I called one of the locations that said that it was in stock but it wasn't and lo and behold there wasn't just one of the PC's there were three. So, I drove 100 miles and bought it in spite of Best Buy.

This was purchased to be my gaming system. Take the specs add a video card and power supply. You'll have a system equal to an Alienware for half the price!!! Works great on a 42 in tv as well!
