Bought one from another vendor when it was cheaper there and then bought another one to gift to my father in-law when it was cheaper at Best Buy but ended up returning this one for a Samsung 2 N 1 for him instead. I lost my XPS during a trip after only 1 month of use so can't attest to the quality/long term. I read many reviews of the over heating, wifi connection problem, and also the fan noise. 1. WiFi - Worked perfectly after all updates were installed, no dropped connections etc like others were reporting before but I did get the new firmware update. 2. Overheating - Was fine and did the job w/o being too hot to touch 3. Fan Whine - While they're, it's not annoying and loud enough to bother me. I watched several movies for 4-6hours while skipping around countries and it was not noticeable enough to affect me. Considering the Mate Book X currently as the replacement since it's the same specs other then HD size but much cheaper.

The XPS13 was just what I was looking for. A full laptop with keyboard and touch screen. Able to run all programs. Very fast. And most important...very light 2.8lbs

This is my second Dell laptop purchase, and I was really excited about all the newer features. Plus, it's a much cheaper price than at Dell.com. However, right out of the box the machine didn't meet my expectations. The track pad was not very responsive and made scrolling difficult. I adjusted the trackpad settings multiple times and still couldn't get it to work well. The screen brightness buttons didn't respond unless I rebooted the machine (each time I wanted to brighten or darken the screen). The display comes configured with a 300% magnification, which you could adjust, but 100% was too small for me to read, so I kept it at 300%. Unfortunately, not all fonts were magnified to 300%, some window options were maxed at 100% (too small to read) with a tiny little box to click on. The fan stayed "on" almost all of the time because the computer gets hot. I read online that the only way to keep the fan off is to adjust the BIOS on the computer to accept a warmer temperature (sounded like a hot mess to me, and I wasn't about to try that!) This computer comes with very few ports (no USB, only USB-c) which I found limiting although they did include a USB to USB-c adapter. However, using the adapter I could not back up my iPhone onto iTunes, which was pretty much the last straw. I returned the machine within four days. Best Buy has a great return policy - and I am thankful for that. I found a Lenovo laptop that has none of the above mentioned problems.

This is a high quality laptop, its light weight and long lasting battery makes it a great travel companion on business as well as leisure trips. I loved the performance and the 4K display works flawlessly, top quality for fair price!

This was a good laptop but it has some issues I had it for 10 days and then returned it It would tend to get hot and the fans would quick on and they were loud The annoying part was that the laptop would get hot and I wouldn't be doing anything to crazy just watching Netflix or Hulu Also having the chin cam wasn't to great

This machine is the bomb. Core I7 / 8th Gen, 16GB Ram / 1TB SSD/ 4K Touch Screen. This is The Laptop I have been waiting for...forever. I Love it. I love everything about it. Awesome machine!

A fast lightweight notebook PC. 4K screen great operating speed and fast boot times.

I needed a small Lap Top with all the features of my 17” Dell in a compact size. This was for an international trip for over two weeks covering four countries. It was a hard fined in Florida with 16GB and 1TB. I had to buy an open box which was only missing the instruction manual I was told. I wish it had a regular USB so I would not have to add an adapter to connect thumb drives. The mouse pad is a little sensitive but I am getting use to it. I am very happy with my purchase.

Maybe my expectations were too high and I was in denial after reading some other bad reviews, but the XPS 13 seems to be quite glitchy, the touchpad isn't reliable, and issues continue to come and go for no apparent reason. For example, one day it suddenly disconnected from my wifi. All my other devices were fine. I had to reboot several times during that day to get connected again. That has happened occasionally, but not often, since then.

friendly to use like the keyboard. also light easy to carry. but its super super expensive.

Everything about this laptop is top end (including the price) from the screen resolution, speed and storage capacity to the responsive key and touch pads. It can be tricky to setup without expert support to ensure smooth touch pad response. Also Dell seems to provide updates almost daily. I recommend investing in the Geek Squad service plan to get the most out of your unit.

I have had for over a year, and it is a great, light computer. My only complaint is that the webcam is on the bottom of the screen so it provides a really awkward view of you, and you can see the keyboard and your fingers in the camera.

After many years using Latitude series for work, this is my first time with a XPS. The first thing impresed me was how light and at the same time how strong it is. It is really fast and provides excellent graphics.

I never realized how fast a PC could be. Boots up 20 times quicker than previous one. The solid state drive is incredible. Software installations are 10X faster. The new USB ports run w at least 5x faster.No more lengthy pauses. This computer is worth twice the price. Oh, I read reports of fan or other noise. Mine is TOTALLY silent, I ran a chess engine for hours with no noise. I’ll never buy anything but a similar computer again.

Great battery life. Lightweight. Finally a laptop that does everything I want without being huge!

Tried to buy this same unit direct from Manufacturer and the cost was several hundred dollars more? Best Buy on sale was a great price for an excellent light weigh laptop. Took minutes to setup and works like it should. Smooth and fast.
