Fan kicks on surprisingly often throttling the 6cores... Even when it's not warm or doing much multitasking. My old surface pro felt faster. :/ We'll see how it holds up long term.

Technical support has been great but not happy about the issues I've had so far: wifi connectivity disappeared twice already so I had to contact them so they could restore the feature

It has a lot of power packed into a small body. The only drawback that I have is that it doesn't have a USB port built in. You have to use the adapter and I can see that getting missplaced easily. Also had to send for tepair after 6 weeks as the wifi adapter failed.

However, after two weeks of non stop use for both college courses and personal use, I am very pleased with its performance and quality. The Dell XPS, even with the 4K HD screen, lasts about 4-6 hours, (depending on screen brightness) which although isn't 10-11 hours like some other laptops, this is plenty of time for me to get work done in between charges. Loving this laptop so far!
