    I got this laptop because I read the XPS 13 could get up to 10 hours of battery life. Unfortunately, this laptop gets 4-5 hours of battery life--not terrible, but not long enough for my work day. The major difference is the screen. This laptop is a touch screen and UHD, both of which use lots of power. I replaced this laptop with an older XPS 13 that is a non-touch screen and FHD, and I get 9-10 hours of battery life on the older one. I would rather have slower performance and higher battery life than vice versa, and I don't even actually notice any significant slowing down on the older XPS 13.

Our team understands that battery life is important when traveling, working remote and the versatility of a battery with long life brings. We'd like to assist you. Please follow these troubleshooting steps below:

      1. On the notification area of the taskbar, right-click the Battery icon.
      2. On the options list, click Power Options.
      3. Select a power plan on the battery meter, such as Power Saver or Balanced. Windows 10 has a built-in 'Battery Saver' mode that can be activated to extend your system's battery life. The Battery Saver mode will monitor and limit background activity and other features such as push notifications. You do have the option to enable or disable this mode within settings or within advanced Battery Saver settings, you can customize the mode to best suit your needs.     I like this laptop. It is light and portable. Love the touchscreen. Overall works well. Some drawbacks could be, it becomes too hot while charging. And this model does not offer any student discount. So it could be a little hard to afford.
