I purchased an open-box laptop from Best Buy expecting a lightly used but fully functional device. Unfortunately, my experience was the opposite. Right out of the box, the computer wasn’t working properly—I had to completely restore it, reinstall drivers, and troubleshoot why the webcam wasn’t functioning. After hours of research and trial and error, I finally resolved that issue on my own. Then I ran into a new problem: my antivirus software wasn’t allowing me to take a virtual proctored exam. I had to contact both Dell and the exam provider to resolve that, wasting more valuable time. Shortly after that, the trackpad began malfunctioning, jumping all over the screen to the point it became unusable. At that point, I gave up. I didn’t buy a computer to spend my time repairing it every other week. It was supposed to be “ready to go” after being verified by Best Buy, but it felt more like I bought a project instead of a product. For something that was supposedly inspected and certified, this was a huge letdown. As someone with IT certifications, I was able to fix most of these problems myself—but the average customer would’ve been completely lost. I hope this helps other buyers make informed decisions, and I hope Best Buy takes this feedback seriously to improve their open-box quality assurance process.

Only complaint is the keyboard is too small due to the speakers being on either side of it.

Best laptop for personal and business use. It has highest resolution and OLED which is very much eye friendly.

I am very pleased with the purchase. I bought a laptop for work, it fully met my expectations.

Just retired and needed a new PC. Machine worked fine but I’m a past Macbook user and thought I’d try a cheaper $ PC. Didnt like PC experience, returned it n went back to a Mac. PC worked fine though.

Awesome computer, but too big and heavy to carry..

Good product. I like the XPS line is laptops. Built sturdy and works great.
