The coffee machine that couldn’t.

I kept coming back to this one. What I did not see though were the MANY negative review regarding the air pump. I had purchased this as a Christmas gift for myself that was also supposed to double as our Christmas Eve party coffee maker for all of my family members. Upon opening I was very excited, it has a sleek design and it perfect for ease and user functionality.. or so I thought. HOURS. We spent hours of time trying to get this to work. Our first issue was us not being able to flush the system. Which this issue was NEVER addressed as a warning within the manual. After many YouTube videos and some creative wording we found it. It like many other of these machines has an air pump issue. The correct verbiage is “air lock” we tried everything and nothing works. Unfortunately all of the techs were closed for the Holidays so we have a $800 machine sitting as a massive decor item yet useless. We also had issues with the grinder working although it might have just also been due to us never being able to flush the system because it appears once you do that the other functions work or are supposed to. Needless to say I am ANNOYED. I will wait until Monday and be optimistic but I already have a Terra Kaffee automatic espresso maker in my cart on standby for when I dissapointingly might have to return this machine.

Don’t do it

Not a good machine - BEWARE!!!!

After trying to set up the first one that didn’t work I got the second machine to work and coffee was good. But in 60 days it was wanting me to descale so I did and not it is stuck in descale mode OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER again and no way to get it back working again. I think I am going back to buying Breville that I wanted to begin with.

De Wrongi-Find another brand

The pot spills when you pour it or fill the water tank. The display is now randomly changing the clock and the coffee maker has been switching on randomly. 0 for 2 on this brand and I wouldn't buy this brand name again.

Not the best. Wouldn’t recommend .

I was deciding between this and the Breville Barista Pro and decided to go with this one due to the tamping station to eliminate mess. Although I love the tamping station, there are so many other things on this machine that frustrate me. First of all I started with a high quality coffee that was a medium dark roast. I went through almost the entire bag and no matter the grind size or dosage I could not pull a shot of espresso that tasted good or had a good crema. During the whole process the pressure on the machine would not go into the optimal zone. I believe this is mostly due to the fact that this machine has only 8 grind settings which limits your ability to dial in your espresso. I also believe with a smaller portafilter that this machine struggles with pulling even double shots. After I went through the first bag I debated on returning it but instead reached out to the manufacturer and tried another coffee bean. This time I tried an even more expensive freshly roasted coffee bean that ultimately pulled an ok shot of espresso. I finally got it in the optimal zone and was going to keep the machine. Over the next few days as I continued to pull shots and make lattes I realized there was no consistency. Each time I would brew a shot of espresso I was increasingly disappointed in the performance on this almost $1000 machine. I have yet to hear back from the manufacturer and will be returning this machine for one of its competitors. I think a better grinder with more grind settings would really make me love this machine. Although the tamping station is extremely convenient, I am extremely disappointed in the rest of the machine. One more note : it was hard to find any accessories for this machine if you want a more professional barista experience. Although this is a beautiful machine it lacks the most important requirement… the ability to get a good espresso.

Not sure if I’ll invest again

Not sure if received a defective unit in the store. But was not expecting to return with in 24 hours .

Steam wand lacks pressure

We have only used deminalized distilled water. After one month, frother pressure is so low it cant generate bubbles, micro, small, or big. I am actuallly returning it to Best Buy today at the recommendation of Delonghi customer service. Would not recommend this item until frother improved.

Open box in good condition issue.

It was missing the coffee basket, usually there's a single shot and a double shot basket. When I inquired for an additional discount because I had to order essential parts from Amazon, I was told no additional discounts will be made. I also asked for an extension on the 15-day return policy because I could not use the product when I brought it home and was told that 15 days is all I get.

Before anything can be done, you have to prime or run hot water thru it. I set it up, filled the resevoir with water, pushed the "tea cup" button (the only one that is lit). Nothing. The motor was running but no water coming out. I dod it over and over. Called support and did a video with them. We did all the troubleshooting I had already done and she told me to return it as it was broken. Same dang thing on two machines! Ugh. No more Prestigio for me. I'll try the La Specialista Arte next then on to a Breville if it doesn't work. Very disappointed.

Bad Pump

Did everything I wanted in an espresso machine. Just after a year of use the pump for the steam wand stop working. I’ve read the pump is one the main problems with this machine. Bad customer service

Bought it online, the shipping was free, Returned in store, and the store associate told me that in order the item be replaced and be delivered to my house , I have to pay shipping fee… which is ridiculous. It wasn’t my fault that Best Buy sold defective item, and I spent my time and gas on returning it in store … and on top of that they wanted me to pay shipping fee to replace their defect item… Disappointing..

Returned the same day

After setting it up per the set-up guide, the machine went straight to descaling mode. After two frustrating hours I called the manufacturer to be put on hold for another hour, only to be told to return it because it is defective. Purchased a different brand.

Water level sensor is erratic, buttons feel very cheap. Coffee quality on every option is subpar. Just not worth the money, for the "features". you can get better coffee from a breville at half the price
