Great receiver I did have to return it because of the speaker system I went with needed more power. Remember if your going high end like me, check with Best Buy sale person and find out what the minimum watt of the largest speaker your purchasing and make sure the receiver puts out the minimum watt per channel for the minimum watt of the largest speaker.

Bought this receiver to replace another Denon that was damaged in a storm. This one has excellent features. Setup program works fantastic and takes into account your room dimensions. Blue tooth is great for connecting a phone and playing music. Delivers great power to my klipsh speakers and my system sounds much better than before when I had 90 watts per channel. 4K and atmos capable..will upgrade to atmos speakers later. Can't go wrong with this receiver

The sound is very good, smooth and crisp! Set up was a breeze. The mic included to set up the speakers had a cardboard stand included-that was a real bonus! I do have one issues and that is the ARC or Audio Return Channel. I have this plugged correctly into my TV HDMI ARC but I am not able to listen to the TV with the receiver turned off. I need to turn on the receiver fist then back off, then I can listen to the TV through it's built in speakers. I need this to work as designed as I leave for work very early in the morning so I usually turn on the TV as I am getting ready. If I don't remember to turn down the volume then the sound will blast through my speakers and of course the wife will kill me! I have contacted Denon and as of yet, have not heard back from them which it has been over 3 weeks now. Other then this issue the receiver is awesome. Sound decoding is top notch! I am very happy with this.

This receiver is very easy to setup. It has fantastic 7.2 surround sound quality sound. There is even a mobile app that you can use as a remote. Also comes with Airplay for iOS devices & Bluetooth as well. Great receiver & well worth the money.

Great receiver, easy to use, pair with Definitive Technology procinema 600 and it sounds really good, I haven't tried the second zone but I'm pretty sure it will work great, Pandora works good, wifi and Bluetooth also works great, remote is easy to use, plus I got it on sale for $350.00 not bad.

I upgraded from a pioneer elite and let me tell you....the difference is amazing. The room setup is easy and it has plenty of power to push my 7.1 system in my theater room.

Purchased to replace a failed older Harmon Kardon 230 AV receiver that I loved. The sound with this Denon unit seems more geared to true cinema staging than the older front stage music driving power of older receiver/amps. Setup is easy and tailors to your listening environment. Spotify and Internet music connection worked perfect. All Video now feeds via HDMI into and out of the Denon which has simplified changing inputs. I miss the front stage music drive of my old receiver but the dog even notices the extra sounds that are coming out of the existing Polk surround setup when we play a movie.

So, I flip around between Denon, Yamaha, and Sony, but this Denon model was relatively new and that was a key factor in pairing it with my new Vizio M class 65' TV - I wanted a receiver that would be comparable and support all of the features including ARC and other HDMI goodness.
The receiver is great - I can use an App or the remote to control and I've been impressed all of the way. Denon did a great job in keeping in simple when it has to be, but giving you plenty of options and settings behind the covers when you want to fiddle with it.

This is my second Denon AVR and it performs wonderfully. I have it in the formal room driving Definitive Technologies 8020 Super Towers. Plenty of power to max those little guys out and perfectly clear.
We have been experiencing a few problems with Sirius connectivity. It was a complete product issue that affected all Denon users. The Denon customer service team was polite, resolved the problem quickly , and let us know when it was fixed. What else would you expect from Denon?

Purchased this DENON receiver to replace a SONY that puked and died. I am VERY PLEASED. It features all the bells and whistles you could hope for and has quickly restored my faith in home audio. It is a terrific upgrade from the $700 Sony unit I had for the past 3 years.

Great entry level 7.2 A/V reciever that allows you to build you your system a piece at a time without spending thousands up front and sounds good no matter how big your system is. Set up is easy and doesn't require an advanced degree. I have it paired with polk tsi300's, tsi100's, cs100, and psw505 and enjoy both music and movies through it. Only complaint so far is bluetooth connectivity and some times be troublesome on both my android and apple devices, that is the reason for only 4 stars. Besides that we love it.

I don't plan on writing a lengthy review, but here goes.
Fantastic reciever. Sounds amazing, with all 7 channels clear and well balanced using the automatic setup (best I've ever used). Required an update to gain access to additional functionality, but was easy to do with an internet connection, and well worth the effort.
I would easily recommend this receiver to anyone in the market. Denon has won a customer for life with this one.

pros: easy to set up the first time, room correction also easy to use.
plenty of power for efficient speakers.
menus easy to navigate.
cons: Bluetooth would not connect the one time I tried it(didn't need it though)
It is very slow to connect to hdmi, this causes the power amp to sometimes not detect an audio source and I get no sound. I then have to cycle power on off to get sound to connect. I programmed in a delay to my harmony hub setup to fix this problem.

This is a great home receiver. I was debating on this versus last years Command Series. The Denon AVR 720 for 2016 is essentially last year's Command Series in a new shell. All the specs match. I decided to get it and just like in Denon fashion, the quality is outstanding, the customer service and support is great and reliability is great.
The receiver is a bit soft, lending to having to turn it up relatively high to get decent sound. However, after speaking with a Denon representative, this is a design characteristic of Denon receivers. You can simply adjust the decibel levels up equally across each speaker to fix the problem.

I've always heard Denon is king, but I am a Sony or Onkyo person. Now that I have this receiver, I'll stick with Denon. So easy to set-up, love the two subs.

This AVR is fantastic, brought my speakers back to life and now TV, movies and video games sound even better! 4K movies are just like in the theater.
