I have been a fan of Denon for awhile. A concurrent 4K TV purchase was the great opportunity to upgrade my trusty Denon AVR-2308CI. On screen set up was quick and easy. Plenty of power. The wireless and bluetooth feature is a huge plus from the old receiver and the 15 minutes of Audyssey speaker set up really made a difference in the sound. Very pleased that I went up in the Denon product line!

I did quite a bit of research prior to making this purchase. I did not want to spend this sort of money on a receiver but in the end was forced to given what I wanted to do. I could not find anything but this receiver in the under $1,500 price range that would process 7 channel + 2 channel Atmos/DTS:X. I don't have a lot of experience in this space but I heard good things about Denon..system sounds great with my Def Tech speakers. While not as stylish as the Onkyo RX series (in my opinion) it does have a nice, streamlined front. Enjoying my purchase.

I decided to replace my Harman Kardon AVR 254 because not all of its surround sounds worked, especially the auto select. Also, the surround speakers did not sound at all, except in movies and not loud enough or in stereo mode. This Denon has all the bells and whistles you can expect. It includes all the latest technology: the latest surround sounds (DTS, ATMOST), internet connectivity (pandora, spotify, air play), internet radio, iPod/USB functionality. It has plenty of power, rated at 125 watts/channel at 0.05 THD with two channel driven. It is worth the money and the sound is really clear and powerful. This receiver sounds very well at low levers, high ones and anything in between. It has a lot of connections (8 inputs and 3 outputs). I love it.

I was deciding between the 4200 and the Marantz 6010 and the Denon offers more for a better price. I set it up as a 7.1 system with Def Tech 800 and 1000 speakers and the sound is great! Blasting Mad Max Fury Road in Atmos! Setup and configuration was really easy and the sound calibration took a few minutes. You can configure all the inputs and with the quick buttons things are really easy. For instance I love to watch a game on the TV while listening to the commentary from the tuner / Sirius. The iPhone remote is great to control Zone 2 for instance when I'm in the basement listening to Sirius. Issues: I had a couple hang-ups where the remote app didn't work and online music was hanging up. A quick power cycle solved that. Sirius takes a long time to start up and the whole online music menu is a bit cumbersome. There's no easy way to change Sirius channels from what I see. (Quick buttons help here!) Just got the DTS:X firmware update yesterday so we'll see if that fixes some of the other issues. Still a great receiver overall!

Good receiver, easy to setup, great features. Occasionally have to reaet network card by unplugging the power cord, hopefully something that can be fixed in firmware update.

I love this receiver! Before I bought this receiver I checked online reviews, checked consumer reports and went to the store to visit it several times within a four month period. I did not want to purchase this expensive upgrade to my home audio system only to have buyers remorse. The setup was simple as far as connections, but a little complicated as far as customization (As it should be, since this is a state of the art receiver). I have a 7.1 speaker set up along with a 55" Sony TV, satellite box, Apple TV and a Sony PlayStation (for DVDs). Everything runs through the receiver and it delivers simple connectivity with fantastic sound. This receiver replaced my previous Denon AVR-4306 which I bought approximately 10 years ago. This new one is awesome and so far worth the money.

This is my 3rd Denon AVR in the past 16 years and this one didn't disappoint, they keep getting better sounding with more of the features people are looking for. The Audyssey set-up really made a major difference in the sound. I initially hooked up the receiver and gave it a listen before performing this set-up. I was disappointed and was considering taking it back for something else, but then thought, "Let me do the full on screen set-up which is very easy to follow." After completing this Audyssey set-up, the sound was spectacular and I was glad I made this purchase. I auditioned this against Yamaha, Marantz and Onkyo competing receivers for months before making my decision. Others may prefer one of these other brands, but the Denon line should be considered when looking for a quality with up to date features AVR.

I upgraded my receiver from an older Denon to take advantage of the 4k transmission rates. This receiver is great in that I can use Bluetooth devices such as stream music from my IPAD. The set up for the speakers is super user friendly when plugged into a TV.

Very easy to set up. It guides you through the speaker set up.I am a senior citizen and It can do a lot of things that I am going to have to learn. The manual is a download, I would rather have a printed manual. That is the only negative for me.

I upgraded from an older Denon receiver. And what a major upgrade this has been. I can actually hear surround sound because of the power this receiver pushes. Easy to setup and the sound is amazing! I can use Bluetooth to listen to Spotify and Apple Music; and WiFi for software updates. Beautiful!

Faithful audiophiles will have their favorite components they swear by, and I was no different. But his time I tried to keep an open mind and read all specs and reviews without bias. Did some sample listening. Used to DJ in clubs, and was familiar with Pioneer and Denon product quality and tech support quality. I purchased and installed the Denon AVR. Normally I just plug in cables, but I decided to use the "on-screen" setup assistant. Made it a very simple process. Used supplied mic to test speaker output, and it seemed to pretty much nail the correct settings (though I upped the center channel some). Sound is clean and strong. I appreciate the abilty to upgrade from 7.2 to a 9.2 especially when I set up Dolby Atmos.

Upscaling feature is nice, pass thru works great. Internet radio is nice, BT has some volume issues that I can probably find a work around for. This is a really, really nice unit. Replaced an old Onkyo that was a warhorse for me for 10-12 years. Sound quality and setup is fantastic with my Jamo speakers.

I did a lot of research before making my final decision on a new Home Theater receiver. It came down to Onkyo or Denon. All the reviews gave a edge to Denon for build quality and sound calibration. All of which is true. Even the manual is 10 times better than the Onkyo.

An awesome upgrade over my well used Denon AVR-2308CI to compliment a new Sony 4K TV purchase without going nuts. Set up was easy and the wireless network capability is great. Good power and great sound, the Audessey feature is a must to set up the audio in your room, especially odd shaped rooms-it is worth the 15 minutes! Good customer service from Denon for my follow on questions as well. l keep coming back to Denon.
