I purchased three of these speakers and am pleased. I have noticed they give fantastic realistic sound to higher fidelity live tracks. Overall, I like the purchase. However, denon needs to work on their HEOS integration software and app. Where the system falls short is in the ease of use whilst utilizing HEOS app and basic receiver controller. Everything should work togetther better.

This little speaker packs a punch in the Bluetooth capability and not to mention auxiliary option surpassed my expectations. The optional battery for portability is unbelievably amazing! It’s steep though at an additional $99 or more.

I bought a Marantz receiver and got this free. Not bad. The highs sound good but lacks bass. I had a Harmon wireless speaker that was the same price that sounds better. It was free so I guess I can't complain but for the Heos I think you have to go to the next step up to get better bass. I'd probably go with sonos at the entry level. Just depends on your personal preference.

I installed this as a plug in speaker in my reading room. Works well with Bluetooth, but most often I use the Heos app. (I didn't want a speaker that listens to me.) To my ear the output is superb.

Although I got a great Black Friday deal on this, I was hesitant to choose it over Sonos, which was twice the price. Overall, though, the reviews seemed pretty good, though. So, I gave it a shot. It didn't seem too bad. It doesn't look too bad and has decent volum, although the sound is a little muddy. I thought it would be nice to have the option of connecting via bluetooth, but that didn't turn out to be as convenient as I had hoped. I thought I might be able to use it with my Echo Dot and seamlessly switch back and forth between the bluetooth connection for the dot and wifi for streaming. Of course, that was wishful thinking. The application is pretty barebones. One of the limitations is that I can't listen to my personal library stored on Amazon's music service. A Denon support article says that's an Amazon limitation. Maybe, but somehow Sonos figured out a way around it. Also, only a handful of services are currently supported. I knew this going into it, but thought things would get better down the road, and they might. The real deal breaker, though, was the customer service. After two days, SiriusXM would no longer connect, so I opened a case with their "customer service" department asking if this was an outage. I received an out of office reply. Several days later, SiriusXM was still not working (although it worked from the native app). I still hadn't received a reply. So I did a search and found a bulletin on Denon's website apologizing for the outage. Soon after that, I returned the device. To this day (a month later, I still haven't received a reply from Denon's customer service. I did , however, purchase a Sonos Play 1. The quality of the hardware, software and services is so much better, it's astonishing. The sound is perfectly clear, more services, the software is more polished and can do things like play my personal tracks from Amazon. It's like night and day. I have read that the higher end Denon Heos devices have excellent sound and overall hardware. However, if they provide poor software and, worst of all, poor customer service, I really don't have any faith in their ability to compete with Sonos. I'm guessing the Heos line is not going to be around in a few years. Maybe they'll shape up and stay in the game, but based on my experience, I'm not willing to bet on it.

Tested these speakers out. Sound is decent on network, but the blue tooth connection is terrible. I couldn’t even get one song to play through without skipping horribly. And I was less than 5 feet from the speaker. Returning soon. Get Sonos.

the speakers are great! the family loves them and they provide great sound! plenty good for the bed room or use outside.

This is my 2nd HEOS 3 and I also bought a HEOS 5. I love the sound, it feels my kitchen and living with crisp, clear sound.

The problem with Denon Heos is that it isn't reliable. Sometimes it's fine, but a lot of times the speakers drop out. Denon needs to refine this technology.
