Great buy for the price

I bought this unit on sale for $300 and consider it a good buy for the price. The Denon Remote App while not always as responsive as I'd like, is still a bonus feature that I wasn't even aware of when I first bought the receiver. I'm not too technically savvy with sound systems so the Audyssey setup utility was very helpful.
Overall, I'm happy with this product.

Didn't know much about home audio brands, but the guys at the store seemed very knowledgeable, and i'm glad i took their recommendation. The receiver looks great and sounds even better.

I bought this receiver to upgrade my old sony 7.1 receiver. I needed a good quality receiver with HDMI inputs. I was researching for a while and was torn between a Sony receiver and lower end Denon receiver. Luckily I went in on March during Best Buy's audio sale. I got the receiver for much less and paired it with Polk Audio black stone 5.1 set. My living room is large and open with high ceilings. The sound is so full and rich. I love that it has airplay and internet ready radio. My only complaint is with the audessy didn't set the sound to my liking but with some tweaking it's sounds great. I would totally recommend this.

I did my research to find a new receiver with HDMI and Airplay to accompany the new Samsung TV. I had originally purchased a Sony a Costco but returned it for this model after all the mixed reviews. The sale price was a great value. Overall I like the features of the Denon in-command receivers. This is the second one I purchased in two years. The remote app for the iPad works well. I still haven't ironed out the power options tied into the TV and I don't like not having wireless.

I was shopping on a budget, but hoping to find an A/V receiver that gave me plenty of power for my 5.1 channel setup, Blu-ray 3D processing, HDMI ARC playback support, and internet connectivity. This receiver has all of that and more! Great buy at a great price (got on sale around 4th of July for less than $300). For me the biggest downside of this receiver is it's lack of built in wifi, but I was able to connect to it with a hidden ethernet cord.

My daughter and I are novices at picking out this type of equipment. Our sales associate helped us through the process with good advice. He gave us a wonderful product while staying within our budget. We are extremely pleased with our purchase.

We are very pleased with our Denon receiver. It was easy to set up and has worked perfectly. The documentation is very complete but can be a little confusing. A call to their very excellent customer service quickly answered our question. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone.

I bought this receiver after returning a Pioneer that had issues. This is a fantastic receiver that gives you a lot of features for the price. The network feature is nice, I'm able to play music from my PC, as well as Pandora. Easy to setup and highly recommended!

I got this thing on black Friday for $330.00 and now they are going for $450.00. love this thing. the sound quality is great the set up is easy and the quality for the money is unbeatable. the set up is all done through prompts on your tv screen and it uses a microphone at 8 different locations to ensure quality sound in just about every spot in the room. I wish it had wifi but I guess none of them really do so...

I bought this receiver for my living room and have been very pleased with its ease of use. If you lose the remote control the phone app works great. I can be anywhere in the house and manipulate the receiver to turn it up, down, on or off. The set up was very easy as well.

I purchased the unit to replace an older Sony AV I had been using. The older Sony didn't even have HDMI inputs but was, otherwise, excellent. I was told that this one was powerful, etc and much better than the others sold outside of the "Magnolia" room. In the end I found myself using the much better Sony, as my main unit for the living room and placed the Denon in one of my bedrooms. The older Sony utilizes only optical inputs, which works fine enough for me. I can tailor any audio for the effect I want which is impossible with the Denon. The Denon, which touted "great power" seems underpowered when compared to my Sony AV.

I love the fact that this receiver uses a self adjusting and tuning system to create optimum levels for all speakers to match your seating positions and your room. When I went through the setup, about 30 minutes, the sound was excellent. I am using high end component speakers by Martin Logan.

Overall I love the receiver. It is pretty good size, so make sure you have enough height where you are going to put it. It is easy to use and sounds good. Haven't figured out all the things it can do, but like it so far.

Excellent for anyone who has components with HDMI output. Many setting variations. Odessey works very well. I would recommend anyone looking for a great 5.1 system spend the additional dollars for this unit
Only advice would be for purchasers to thoroughly read the manual!

Bought this and ended up returning it due to what ended upto be a bad cablebox but the unit I got to replace it was a Sony and for the same price the Sony had 7.2 instead of 5.1 the Sony also has 4k pass through and wireless networking built in. The Sony also had built in Bluetooth so I can stream music from my phone or tablet. The dennon was very easy to setup but after having both the Sony really made the movies come alive and for the price the sony had enough features to make it almost future proof

Lots of input channels, good sound, and good audio/video sync functionality. Two wishes--and S-video input, and easier/more logical setup menu.
