This will be my 2nd Denon receiver and they just keep getting better, like the WiFi connectivity and the 4K pass thru. I could have gotten the next level up with a little more power to drive my infinity speaker system but it does a well enough job for me....

I upgraded to this unit after my Pioneer Elite crapped out after just over 2 years of use. First thing I noticed was that it just sounded so much better. I also like that it came with twice the factory warranty length as the Pioneer. I can tell that it was made with much better components. Setup was a breeze. I dont like the phone app as much as the Pioneer app but it's not something I use all that much. I have a logitech Harmony remote that integrates perfectly with the system. This is my first Denon purchase and so far I'm very impressed.

I was hesitant to purchase this based on a few mixed reviews, but after comparing the specs of many models from a range of manufacturers, I took the Denon plunge. First off, I'm an audiophile of sorts, and have been using medium to high-end receivers since the 1980s. Substandard audio can literally hurt my ears, so my expectations were fairly high to begin with. Setup: straight forward, the Audyssey speaker calibration tool is fun and works great! Sure it takes a few minutes of moving the mic around, but the TV interface is easy to follow and automated speaker calibration was worth the time. Features: read the specs, exactly what it says. Joining the home network was a breeze, 4K blue-rays played instantly, pairing with Bluetooth took a few minutes, but then streaming music from a smartphone was great! All-in-all a very user friendly device. Sound and display quality: Top notch! Some say it's a little under powered, but this is solved by adjusting the source input levels for each device. No voice synch probs at all during 4K play, and although I've only tried it in 5.1, it sounds nearly as good as my 7.2 setup downstairs (this is in the loft for the kids). I'm going to add a couple of rear surrounds during the next Klipsch sale because I expect it'll sound even more massive! Music playback: Awesome! I heard that Denon was better at movies while another leading company was better at music, but this receiver kicks in both departments, and all through bookshelves and subwoofer! Go figure! Games: my boy's WiiU sounds killer in surround sound! In summary, for a sub $1K receiver, you could definitely do a lot worse! I'm totally satisfied and the only remaining checkbox is if it stands the test of time. Fingers are crossed!

All the features of a new home theater receiver can be a little overwhelming, but the Denon AVR-X2500H does a good job of walking you through the setup process. It'll take a while to decipher all of the features, but once you do you'll have a receiver that offers clear, crisp sound and reliable, multi-zone operation. We got this one on closeout, and it was a good bargain. On the plus side: it lets you play the same music in all zones from a digital input--something not all receivers can do, as we discovered. On the down side: it only supports the plain old ARC standard, not the new eARC, which allows you to pass uncompressed PCM sound from your TV back to the receiver. Using regular old ARC, this receiver can still pass Dolby 5.1 from TV to receiver, and that's good enough for us.

Works well with all of my devices and sounds great. Just a few issues getting the tv to turn on and off when a device turns on and activates the receiver. Easy to set up and use though!

It may be a little pricey and more than I was expecting to spend. However it’s a great receiver and I never have to worry about anything going wrong. It was very easy to setup speakers with the set up assist. The phone app is a little plain but nice.

Bought this to replace a very good classic Hk avr350 I had for years... I needed an upgrade and this was the best Ovaral for what I needed I was literally blown away at what It sounded like super rich and loud!! Just the way I like it i was not expecting to get such great sound I was also going to upgrade my speakers as well A classic infinity alpha 50 fronts alpha 37c center & alpha 25es rears no need for that the Denon revamped my speakers over night! Truly one of my best buys yet and to compensate it all I bought an LG 65 Oled C8 I'm one happy customer

Price matched this a while back for an amazing deal! Denon quality is top notch! Audio is great and I prefer the sound over Pioneer which I also considered (too boomy and not as crisp for me). Future proof features work great, however, the ALLM feature does not seem to be working. It did initially but not after a firmware update. Small thing that I am pursuing with Denon. Overall, great receiver, especially at the price break given! Highly recommended!

This receiver replaced a 9 year old Integra that developed a constant hum. The Denon was relatively easy to set up with a couple exceptions & I had to call for Bestbuy audio for assistance. Associate decoded the on screen instructions after which set up went fine. It has been in operation for a few weeks & there has been no problems so far. I have 4 devices hooked in, a DVR, DVD, VHS & CD players, all work well so far. I would recommend this receiver.

I'm very happy I purchased this item. It has great sound and all the inputs you need. It works best if you hook it up via ethernet. It has Apple play and Bluetooth so you can play your phone apps and computer music through the system. I would give this five stars but no instruction book was included. The download from the Internet was very confusing and hard to understand (and I like reading instructions). Thankfully, the Best Buy salesman who suggested and sold me this system was able to give me tips on how to use.
