So while I've not played much of Destiny so far, and I wasn't absolutely overhyped by all of the announcements and trailers up to its release, I would say that I so far enjoy the game. It's very simplistic as far as RPG shooter mechanics are and overall its really just a time killer game than a real investment. It takes awhile to level up but overall the game has not shown to be hard whatsoever.

6 months in and does this thing ever end great graphics but hard for me to finish 1 hour raids

First off, I was extremely excited for this release. However, when I first started to play, the graphics were amazing. Very beautiful detail and the like. You first get a good clean handling on the controls if you're used to playing FPS like Halo and COD. However, as you play the story mode, it simply gets too repetitive and you go through the same motions in every level. Multiplayer can be fun, but I say it lightly. When you first start off, you are basically the weakest link until you level up. Once you're in the 20s, then you have a shot at playing against those who simply have the time to play for extended hours and are already fully leveled up and have legendary weapons and gear. Good luck.

Destiny is one of the best games I've ever played it is very good. It has very good weapons and a lot of items and upgrades after u have done very fun missions. Now usually I wouldn't be a big fan of Call of Duty or Halo (Destiny is made by the creators of halo and call of duty activision and Bungie) but with its console exclusive content it made my experience much more fun.

The details and action seem so real. can't seem to put the game down. Its so intense

After you complete the levels for the story part of this game you've seen pretty much all this game has to offer. After that you have 2 options, player vs player multiplayer or grinding the same levels over and over to get new equipment. It's a fun game and if your friends play this with you, you're sure to have fun for many hours if you don't mind repetition.

I've played Destiny for about 8 hours this far and I've really been enjoying it. Those expecting a revolutionary gaming experience will be disappointed though, it cribs many elements from games like halo, borderlands and mass effect without ever feeling like it's own universe. I believe that in their mission to make a game that appeals to a wide variety of consumers that bungie ended up making something a little generic for fear of alienating any consumers. However, even though it is a bit generic and doesn't have a great backstory, the controls are great, the multiplayer seamless and the hook of upgrading your character and unlocking new abilities is very addictive. So, overall a very good game, but not one people will be talking about in ten years. I would still recommend to fans of the scifi and fps genres.

I'm not one who is typically big on first person shooters, but when I played the beta I had fun with the game because of the MMO & RPG elements. The best way I described it to be people was in reference to Borderlands. Some people have started calling it Halo: The MMO. All game these days are overhyped but I believe despite this, it is still a really good game. While I've only been casually playing and I'm only level 9. I am having fun with it. It's a beautiful game, has a solid game mechanics foundation, and makes you desire to level up and get new and better gear for your guardian. What I didn't like is that the missions typically take you to the same area over and over and there is not much changing. It appears there is some content lacking on end game and multiplayer but that will come out in due time.

A very competent, and beautiful, first person shooter marred by a shoddy story, a plethora of grinding in stages that have little to no variety, and some dubious choices for matchmaking. It really is fun, but after a while you wonder what exactly all the time wasted is getting you.

I had bought Destiny at launch but got tires of doing the same thing over and over and not being properly rewarded. After updates and the 2nd dlc it is so much better. Still things here and there that need to be fixed or altered, and I'm sure story won't make a big splash until destiny 2, but one thing does remain the same...the game play. Best game play in an fps in my opinion.

Very simple and intuitive controls, great gameplay with loads of features.

I'm a huge first-person shooter and RPG fan to start off with so destiny was a match made in heaven. Plenty to do so far with news that bungie will keep adding more and more. The only problem I see, if there's one really, is that the individuality of the players is not entirely there. At least not initially. At lvl 15, I'm still kind of forced/limited to a certain look with my armor or skill set/abilities. There's not much variability in armor unless you want to take a defense sacrifice for looks. Other RPGs I've seen have similar to identical stats with varied looks. I guess that's when the shader items come into play at lvl 20. All in all, I'm loving it. The game definitely makes team play an important part of the missions BUT so far, I've been able to complete missions rated at my level on hard as a solo player, its just obviously a lot more difficult.

I was a bit skeptical when I heard about this game from the guys at work. They said it was a blast to play and the graphics and the worlds were top notch. When I bought my PS4 it was the first game I got and was I pleasantly surprised. It has action adventure, outstanding graphic and affects and the worlds seek endless. I know the games are a bit expensive but..buy this one.

Shooting mechanism is awesome and weapons are good and fairly balance. But reset of them game is not good, missions and locations are repetitive. not much enemy verities. boring and unfinished story. unless you have few friends to play with or has a major price skip.

I was a little hesitant about getting this game at first because I like to play solo. This game opened up a whole new experience for me. Not only is it an awesome PVE and PVP game, but its also a really cool social game. Being able to play with other people around the world and use a headset to chat is really neat. I am definitely getting the next DLC when it comes out.

Great game but you will have to get the season pass to play all the contain now. so your looking at a extra $30. Not a big deal when you look at games like CoD and you pay $50 for season pass. Anyway, the game looks amazing and very fun. Don't be a try hard in PvP cause its not very balanced you might just rage out. But with a group of friends its all very enjoyable.

This is the first game I bought after getting my PS4 a few months ago, and I play at least 3-4 times a week. The beauty of this game is that you can play alone, against others, or in a group in order to level up your character for endgame content. Bungie plans on supporting this game with frequent expansions, which should make the game's replay value almost infinite.

I have been playing for little over 10hours. I have played multiplayer/crucible, story missions up to mars and one strike mission. I can honestly say that this is a very good game! Is perfect? No, but its very well polished! The graphics is amazing, beautiful detail, worlds feel alive and expansive. Only thing missing are non combat npc in the world to make it more real. Thr combat is amazing, very similar to halo but enough difference to make it feel unique. Cons Better crafting stuff Other non- fps stuff do, for a very huge game i feel that having fishing, flying the planes, and other rather stuff should be in it. Story has a good emotional feel to it, but i feel that its forgetable. Gameplay 9.5 Story 8 Graphics 10 Multiplayer 9.5 If your a fps person well worth getting specially with friends... Awesome and great graphics, good online playing...

I seriously wish I could give this game a better review, but it lacks in major aspects that absolutely prevent anything better than a7-8 /10. For this initial release, I am giving a 6/10, play it and you'll understand why. The good: graphics are amazing. The maps are fairly large and reminiscent of Halo. The bad: map borders aren't clearly defined, you just suddenly get a 'turn back!' Message before you spontaneously die. Customization of character appearance, really? No matter the race or initial appearance you choose, as better armor and equipment become available your appearance will change as a consequence of donning the better gear. The ugly: seriously lacks content in the story...weak initial release that is far from reaching any proximity of the expectations I had for it. The only saving grace is the multiplayer arena that offers hours of mindless team and free for all action.
