Customers are saying

Customers have good things to say about the engaging story, fun gameplay loop, and the wide variety of Digimon available, with many citing nostalgic appeal. The improved battle system and Digivolution mechanics are also frequently praised. However, some customers point out translation issues and a lack of English audio. A few also mention that the game's difficulty may not be challenging enough for all players.

The nostalgia that this game brings me reuniting with all the awesome Digimon from my childhood made me so happy. Originally I imported the game for my PS Vita last year but when they finally announced a localized version I was ecstatic since my Japanese isn't as good as I want it to be. If you are a person like me and grew up on Digimon than I definitely recommend this game for you

I've been a fan of Digimon since it came out. I played the old games on the original Playstation. I was excited about this game when I first heard it was coming out. There isn't a lot of new Digimon stuff I actually like, baring the recent movies. But the game, so far as I've played, manages to be modern and new while still capturing the nostalgic feel of what I grew up with. Things may be in a new setting, but it's still Digimon, with a good fighting style and decent storyline.

If you're familiar with Shin Megami Tensei games, then you'll feel right at home. And if you're a fan a Megami Tensei and Digimon games, then this is a MUST BUY! While I'm suppose to continue the game's plot, I can't help but grind and level up my Digimon to see what each one can digivolve into, since most of the time a Digimon can digivolve into multiple different forms.

I used to watch digimon, so I was excited this title made it to PS4. It is a portable port, and that is apparent in the maps. But the story this far is fun, and I am growing and digivolving all of the digimon. I have had the game a month and the time I have played I have only made it through half the story while focusing on breeding. I am loving it!

That's right. Just like I said in the summary. This games purpose is to celebrate the anniversary of Digimon. It was made with the intention to cater to the mature and older audience that started with the 1st Digimon anime. Of course, new fans can still play this game. As a Digimon fan from the 1st day this series began in America, the producer really meant want he said. This game is the best Digimon game I've played. As someone who played Pokemon from the beginning, that series still holds that same child feeling, and as one of the older audience, the story wasn't doing it for me. Digimon actually has a mature story with this game and it delivers. The gameplay is turn based and it's great. Training your Digimon is the most time consuming part, especially in the Digifarm. There are restrictions on Digivolving to a higher level so you have to digivolve and de-Digivolving them to raise their ABI, which raises thei extra stats(tip for you guys). There is a hard and normal option in the options menu. I spent every day playing this day till I beat it, and it was worth it.

+Pros Monster collecting Story Length -Negatives Your character does not talk. No major moment where you get to decide something. A few really annoying characters. While setting is nice, no adventuring in the digital world. Dungeons are bland.

This game has all the feelings of a classic JRPG. Classic JRPG combat, leveling up your characters the good ol' way, etc. It feels pretty nostalgic as well, for a new game. If you're into the Digimon series or like classic JRPGs, definitely check it out. Hidden gem!

Digimon Cyber Sleuth is AMAZING. The story itself starts out a little slow and it takes a little to really enjoy the battle system, but once you get a few hours in this game is epic. So much nostalgia as well. Definitely the best Digimon game since Digimon World 2/3.

Honestly, I'm not the biggest fan of digimon, but this is a really good game. The story flows well and there isn't too much down time. The gameplay is your standard turn based combat. The game really shines with the digifarm and digivolving though.

It was an awesome game. The story is very interesting. It is a bit slow at the beginning, but the game begins to accelerate with interesting plots. The side stories are also very interesting. They have a lot of twists in them.

If you are a digimon fan and a gamer, you have been waiting for this quality of Digimoj video game for a very long time. Some may have lost hope, but this game is evidence that not all hope is lost. While it is a bit outdated due to it being a port of a portable game, it's a solid game.

Very fun turn based rpg that will bring plenty of hours of enjoyment. I'm not even half way through the game and I already have 50+ hours out into the game. Plays similar to pokemon but with an improved battle system.

Owes a lot to Pokémon, but there's a certain novelty in being able to digivolve and de-digivolve your monsters, many of whom are recognizable from the various seasons of the show, in branching and interconnected trees.

Great Digimon game that brings you back to the glory days of the Digimon World series. If you're a fan of Digimon, then you definitely need to pick this up. My only gripe is that I missed out on the preorder bonus :/

Digimon story: cyber sleuth was a great rpg if you are into classic turn based rpgs. The only complaints I have is the difficulty wasnt very hard and the story wasn't much to write home about. Overall still a fine purchase, especially for fans of the digimon franchise.

An awesome game overall. An engaging story with easy to learn game mechanics. If you want to challenge yourself there is an online colosseum as well. Also, there is quite a lot of free DLC for this game.
